The location is gigantic and the arrangement of the pitches almost makes it seem as if you are alone in nature - although there is a good infrastructure at the site. Starting point for hikes. However, the Swiss arrive at the weekend and then unfortunately the partially locked toilet facilities are not unlocked, which leads to waiting times. And the absolute... no-go is that wood is often taken from the forest and open fires are made, regardless of the smoke development. The plots in the lower part are very spacious. It is advisable to take a long cable with you. Shopping facilities in the village. Bread rolls can be ordered on site. Too bad that there is only one temperature for showering - rather... too cold for me. Rather few showers-especially when the site is busy. This site seems to be very popular with the Dutch. Access with larger caravans/motorhomes quite challenging. We stayed on the lower part of the site in July/August 2019 and had a fascinating panorama all around us. The pitches on this part of the site are exceptionally spacious and you have plenty of room. However, not so much in the sanitary facilities,... which are quite tight. We often had to queue to shower, flush or go to the toilet. Many families come here in the main vacation season because of the great play and sports facilities for children. If you don't like the noise of children, you should come in the low season, when it's quieter. La Fouly is very remote, a village of 81 inhabitants. The camp at the foot of the glacier offers the impression of camping in the wild with the luxury of sanitary facilities and a reception. A little tip: If you like it really quiet, you should keep a little distance from the stream. It roars quite loudly down the mountain.
