"Good place and friendly staff - The pitch in front of the dyke is beautifully situated. The pitch size is sufficient, could possibly be a little larger, but it fits. Toilets were always clean and tidy. Overall a very nice place to stay.

"Super stay - Good pitch in a top location on the Elbe. The sanitary facilities leave nothing to be desired. The mini market has a very good selection and is not expensive.

"Decelerating stay - We were there in the second week of the Whitsun vacations. The site was not completely full, which had a positive effect on the limited toilet and shower facilities. The site was quiet and the whole environment was very relaxing. What really bothered me was the disposal of the gray water, which was only possible at the motorhome pitches, walking distance several 100 meters. A no-go with a small bucket. This should be possible in other places despite the limited conditions. I didn't find that you have to pay to shower on the homepage beforehand. Here, too, a small downer; the shower time of 3 minutes is enough for us men (mostly), for women with long hair the time is too short, which is annoying if you don't have a second shower token with you. The disposal of the camping toilet via the vending machine was very positive. A good and clean solution and the €2 is fair. Overall conclusion: The site corresponds to the descriptions on the homepage, is very simple, but idyllic and relaxing. We had the bike with us and were out and about a few times, enjoying the flat, very rural countryside. If we ever go north again, this is definitely an option. The rating is (unjustifiably) a bit distorted because we simply couldn't answer all the questions. In terms of grades, I would give the place a 2.0

A natural vacation on the Elbe beach – Stover Strand Camping is located in the idyllic Elbe river landscape, just outside Hamburg. Enjoy the tranquility of nature on the pitches right next to the Elbe River and take an exciting …day trip to Hamburg's HafenCity or the old salt town of Lüneburg using public transport. The nature-oriented pitches are open from April to October, and the pitches on the main site are open year-round. From there, you're just a short walk to the large sanitary building or the on-site Stover Strandgut restaurant, which serves seafood cuisine. The site also has a supermarket with fresh rolls and everything a camper's heart desires. Children's entertainment during peak season, a sauna with a view of the Elbe River, and electric car rental round out Stover Strand Camping's offerings.
