Pozitívumok
Very friendly reception, also informed us where the sun rises and sets when we were allocated a pitch ;-). Sanitary facilities outdated but clean. Very nice location directly at the nature reserve and lake with swimming area. Unfortunately dogs are not allowed at the lake. Also the free run directly on the site is restricted by the nature reserve.
Negatívumok
Apart from the small village with 1 restaurant (highly recommended) and good shopping facilities, you are very far away from the "shot". But very quiet.
Short vacation
Very friendly welcome as already described. The Bistro de l'Aberge in the village serves excellent food at very fair prices. The dog gets water before you can order :-). Very suitable for hiking and chilling out.

Pure nature
We've been there a few times. Most recently I was there with friends for a weekend to go biking in Metabief. The campsite hasn't changed much in the last three years. Wallflower campers won't like this place, it's more for nature lovers who don't have 5-star expectations. Depending on the occupancy rate... and age groups, it can be a bit noisy, but it's hardly disturbing. The sanitary facilities were always clean during our visits. Toilet seats and toilet paper are really not available, but if you know that, you can adjust accordingly and the operators were always friendly and helpful. My conclusion: simple and cozy CP, for simple and cozy campers without luxury demands.
