"Completely overrated - We knew the place from television and had correspondingly high expectations. In addition, the many good reviews speak for themselves. What do I have to realize? Rarely have I been so wrong. The place is getting on in years. The path just in front of the reception is just patchwork, everything looks improvised. In the building opposite there is a small store, a garage selling chicken/knuckle of pork, and right next to it the waste disposal and workshop. It all looks like an industrial area. The garbage also stinks across the motorhome pitch. No country air, garbage dump! The sanitary building is clean, but getting on in years. Why is there no indication on the door whether it is a toilet, a shower or a washing area? That would make things easier. Our pitch in the Womo area was quite large, but it was impossible to get any peace and quiet. On the one hand, the country road is very present during the day, on the other hand the farmers thunder to their meadows with their tractors and to top it all off, the operator is constantly swinging the excavator or the waste compactor, the brush cutter or the hedge trimmer. I have never experienced the operator causing such a disturbance on the site. The location alone does not make a great pitch. If I now consider the price of €53 per night on the motorhome pitch, I wonder whether everything is above board here. A word about public transport, which is included in the guest card. Apparently the region wants to take the piss out of its guests. Not like that. Those responsible in Oberstdorf should take a look at how this can be done better. But it's not the resort's fault. Or is it? In any case, we won't be back.

"beautifully situated campsite - We stayed at the campsite for a few days. It is beautifully situated in the mountains. The pitches are a bit scattered, which makes things easier. There are many disposal stations for gray water and the chemical toilet and you can also find many fresh water supply points. A small camping store for the essentials and a bicycle rental service round off the facilities. The restaurant offers good food and drinks at fair prices.

"great place, satisfied all round - A wonderful, quiet campsite that we found by chance on the internet years ago - what luck! A beautiful and spacious pitch in a great location on a slope with a view, super clean private sanitary facilities, the staff at reception and in the restaurant were very friendly and courteous, the food was great, the dog was also very happy, no barking despite the large number of dogs, everything was very relaxed, which you can also contribute to yourself (there will always be people who find something to complain about), we can only recommend the site and will definitely be back! The small store is also well stocked and has everything that campers tend to forget at home! Very quiet at night. We also really enjoyed the wonderful nature in the Karwendel Nature Park with its flower meadows, you rarely find such a variety of species - if you look and are interested! We stood right next to orchids and rare alpine flowers!

"Light and shadow - The campsite is in a great location, but the sanitary facilities are getting on in years. We were there for the second time and found that the staff were not exactly friendly, even in the restaurant.

Our compact utility …columns with connections for telephone, fax, Wi-Fi, TV, radio, gas, electricity, water supply and disposal provide everything you need for a comfortable stay. The Alpen-Caravanpark Tennsee is a spacious, partially terraced campsite. The site is bordered on two sides by a stream and Lake Tennsee, while to the east, the hilly meadows with their unique Alpine flora rise up. Extensive sanitary facilities and a breathtaking mountain backdrop ensure your well-being. Shower and wash cubicles are available to all guests free of charge. Family cubicles (lockable) with shower, bidet, washbasin and toilet, which you can rent for the duration of your stay. Hairdressing stations with hood dryers are available for all guests in the bathroom foyer or at the individual wash cubicles. The disabled facilities are easily accessible for our guests on the ground floor and can be used free of charge. A baby bathtub for our youngest guests is also located on the ground floor. They say here in Bavaria that food and drink keep body and soul together. That's why eating and drinking are so important at the Alpen-Caravanpark Tennsee. Bavarian specialities and international dishes are served in the ‘beim Mini’ restaurant. The large dining room and the two fireplace parlours will surround you with genuine old Bavarian cosiness. You can enjoy coffee and cake here or on the spacious sun terrace. Located in the triangle between Mittenwald, Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Walchensee, a wide range of cultural, entertainment and sports opportunities are available here. We have put together an interesting and entertaining leisure programme for you and your children. There are children's playgrounds with various play equipment and a large play castle right at the entrance to the campsite and on the caravan site.
