Nice place
Very friendly owners. You can enjoy good food and drinks at the bistro from Wednesday through Sunday. They also serve cake on the weekends.
The area is great for exploring by bike. Kulmbach, Kronach, and Bayreuth aren’t far away.
The outdoor pool is right across the street.
The two restroom buildings were always clean.
The campground is nice and quiet.
Perfect for a relaxing vacation.

The campground is very well-maintained and clean; the staff is very friendly, it’s in a very quiet yet central location, with large and clean campsites. A swimming pool with discounted admission for campground guests is just 150 m away. There’s a restaurant (bistro) with a small menu right on the campground.

It was our first time there for a long weekend, and we were very surprised at how large and well-maintained the campground is. The staff was really nice and friendly and was happy to help—thanks again to the groundskeeper, Rainer. The campsites are spacious enough, the restrooms are clean and well-maintained,... and they’re cleaned every day. The campground bistro has a small beer garden, and you can grab a bite to eat there as well.
The public swimming pool is about 150 m away.
We’d love to come back for a slightly longer vacation sometime.

Super weekend !
Since a new operator/couple is running the campsite, I stayed here again over the weekend and I have to say I'm thrilled.
Super nice welcome, everything clean and well maintained. It was pure relaxation.
Bistro Campsite cozy and delicious.
There is also something for the campers here from time to time.... Live music or events..... great.
Our dog even got a welcome gift box with treats.👍🏼
I'll be coming back more often now 😉😁

We konden met onze tent zelf een plek uitzoeken op het tentenveld. Ruime plekken, sanitair schoon en voldoende, in de avond lekker rustig. Heerlijk gegeten in de bijbehorende bistro.

Geweldige ruime camping in mooie omgeving en prima restaurant.
Dit was onze vierde camping van deze vakantie en ook de beste. Veel ruimte voor onze tent, mooi uitzicht, in de avond lekker rustig, sanitair was schoon en voldoende en in de bistro hebben wij met onze familie 3 van de 6 dagen heerlijk gegeten. In het tegenoverliggende zwembad zijn wij ook 2 keer geweest... (prijs 3 euro). De supermarket Norma met lekker brood is 700 meter van de camping en om 7 uur in de ochtend al open. Leuke uitstapjes gemaakt met fiets naar Kulmbach en Kronach en nog 1 van de vele wandelingen die 200 meter vanaf de camping staan aangegeven. Everything was perfect.

Beautiful campsite
Very nice campsite with a very nice operator couple. The food in the bistro was excellent at reasonable prices. The pitches are pleasantly large and the site is generally quiet. The sanitary facilities were also always clean. There is an outdoor pool in the immediate vicinity.

I stayed here for a week and must say I was very impressed. The owner is very nice and helpful. The campsite is clean and high quality. If I come to the area on business, I will definitely come back. I really enjoyed my stay here. Thank you very much and I highly recommend it to anyone.

Very nice, clean campsite
The access road to the campsite, including the waiting area, is large enough and the barrier opens with license plate recognition. The check-in went very smoothly, even though we arrived much later than planned.
The site has terraced pitches and two sanitary buildings, which were always very clean -... a big compliment!
A little tip from us: take a long power cable with you, as the power columns are not always in the immediate vicinity of the pitch ;-)
Tent pitch for groups and playground for children available.
Even if the weather is bad, it won't be boring, because you can play billiards and table football (for a fee).

The restaurant/bistro on site is also highly recommended. The price is absolutely fine and the food is really delicious.

Friendly campsite
This friendly place is beautifully situated for hiking, cycling tours (more like trekking or mountain biking), but it is mountainous.
You can tell that the owners are campers themselves and have a healthy sense for the needs of their guests.
Everything is great for the price.

Short trip July 2024
A really great campsite with lots of charm and a positive atmosphere. Cleanliness, friendliness, size of the pitches, location of the site, catering, atmosphere among the campers ... Everything was just TOP! And then there was the wonderful outdoor pool right next door... I've rarely been so positively impressed from the very first moment. Well-deserved 5 stars from me and keep up the good work.

A great campsite, everything fits. Jörg and Manuela very nice, sanitary always clean, bistro and service very good. Outdoor pool right next door in good weather. Great for walking the dog. We were there for the 3rd time and certainly not for the last time 😊

Bistro Campsite Visit
We were at the Bistro Campsite last night with 8 people. We tasted and felt the passion and love with which the kitchen team and the service spoiled us. Thank you to everyone involved.

Ideal for cycling tours
The site is ideally located for cycling tours. Thanks to its proximity to Untersteinach train station, you don't need to move your car to explore northern Franconia. You can get everywhere easily.
Although located directly below the main road, the site is very quiet, especially at night. The meadow pitches... are slightly sloping and there is plenty of water and electricity nearby. The owners run their site with a lot of love, you can tell. Everything is very clean and well-kept. In the off-season, the restaurant is closed and the bread service is discontinued. But you can be in the town center in five minutes by bike. A supermarket is just around the corner. The only thing that is outdated is the prescribed midday rest, which is typical for Germany.

If you want to attach an awning or awning to the ground, you will need very strong pegs, screws etc. Some of the ground is heavily compacted with gravel in the lawn.
Idyllic and clean
This campsite impresses with its overall impression. It is very well looked after by its operators and guests are given a very friendly welcome. Problems are solved immediately. Tips on hiking and excursion destinations are gladly given. This site is perfect for relaxing. Many trees and hedges divide... the site into several well-kept areas. The "plots" are generously divided. We will definitely come back here. Franconian hospitality is very important here.

Beautifully situated site on the edge of the Franconian Forest
We stayed at the campsite for a weekend as a family with a dog. There is really nothing negative to report. The site is nicely laid out, with pitches separated by hedges and some with tall trees. The sanitary facilities are well maintained. At the time of our stay at the beginning of August, the site... was only 50% full. This was probably because the adjacent outdoor pool was closed for renovation. This didn't bother us as we were more interested in hiking. As a starting point for excursions to the Franconian Forest or Fichtelgebirge ideal location. We would love to come back for a weekend.

We spent 10 days at this beautiful campsite, which we had chosen online. We felt very comfortable thanks to the always friendly staff, the cleanliness and the well-kept grounds.

Very nice operator couple and nice staff. The sanitary facilities are old but very clean. The food in the bistro tasted very good. The pitches are well maintained and large enough. A second sanitary building is under construction.

Very nice campsite
Keep up the good work. We felt very comfortable during the week and if the swimming pool opposite was still open that would of course be great. But the operator couple really can't do anything for the renovation of the swimming pool.

Beautifully located site on the outskirts of the city, operator very friendly and helpful, sanitary facilities not new, but technically in order and very clean. Finally a toilet that smells good.

Unfortunately, the bistro and kiosk were closed, but that's understandable in November.
Beautiful fall week
Found by chance on the internet, but in our opinion a real tip. Very nice and helpful operators,
the pitch is nicely laid out and the connections are close by. Everything you need is available, including a washing machine and dryer. We noticed positively that there is a disabled toilet and all the sanitary... facilities are very clean and smell good. There is a bistro with a beer garden and a kiosk with a bread roll service, but unfortunately both are understandably closed as it is November. There is a nice playground for the children and the pool is just across the road. We spent a lovely week despite the rain and did a lot in the area.
We will definitely come back when it gets warmer.

Never again on this campsite
We received a very unfriendly welcome.
Since I was a permanent camper on this site for a very long time, we assumed that the barrier would be closed for 2 hours at noon.
is closed.
Unfortunately we had to realize that the barrier is closed from 12:00-15:00. We were there at 12:10 and were then very unfriendly... instructed to leave the barrier backwards with the caravans.
After 15:00 we were then able to drive onto the site.
We were also surprised that the site is so expensive in the low season.
Even if you don't do anything yourself and have everything done by contractors.
The whole area with the hedges looked very unkempt.

For us very incomprehensible that a place operator 3 hrs.
