Marga D.agosto 2025ΘετικάWe konden met onze tent zelf een plek uitzoeken op het tentenveld. Ruime plekken, sanitair schoon en voldoende, in de avond lekker rustig. Heerlijk gegeten in de bijbehorende bistro.ΑρνητικάRivetsGeweldige ruime camping in mooie omgeving en prima restaurant.Dit was onze vierde camping van deze vakantie en ook de beste. Veel ruimte voor onze tent, mooi uitzicht, in de avond lekker rustig, sanitair was schoon en voldoende en in de bistro hebben wij met onze familie 3 van de 6 dagen heerlijk gegeten. In het tegenoverliggende zwembad zijn wij ook 2 keer geweest... (prijs 3 euro). De supermarket Norma met lekker brood is 700 meter van de camping en om 7 uur in de ochtend al open. Leuke uitstapjes gemaakt met fiets naar Kulmbach en Kronach en nog 1 van de vele wandelingen die 200 meter vanaf de camping staan aangegeven. The check-in went very smoothly, even though we arrived much later than planned.
The site has terraced pitches and two sanitary buildings, which were always very clean -... a big compliment!
A little tip from us: take a long power cable with you, as the power columns are not always in the immediate vicinity of the pitch ;-)
Tent pitch for groups and playground for children available.
Even if the weather is bad, it won't be boring, because you can play billiards and table football (for a fee).
The restaurant/bistro on site is also highly recommended. The price is absolutely fine and the food is really delicious.

Thanks to its proximity to Untersteinach train station, you don't need to move your car to explore northern Franconia. You can get everywhere easily.
Although located directly below the main road, the site is very quiet, especially at night. The meadow pitches... are slightly sloping and there is plenty of water and electricity nearby. The owners run their site with a lot of love, you can tell. Everything is very clean and well-kept. In the off-season, the restaurant is closed and the bread service is discontinued. But you can be in the town center in five minutes by bike. A supermarket is just around the corner. There is really nothing negative to report. The site is nicely laid out, with pitches separated by hedges and some with tall trees. The sanitary facilities are well maintained. At the time of our stay at the beginning of August, the site... was only 50% full. This was probably because the adjacent outdoor pool was closed for renovation. This didn't bother us as we were more interested in hiking. As a starting point for excursions to the Franconian Forest or Fichtelgebirge ideal location. There is a bistro with a beer garden and a kiosk with a bread roll service, but unfortunately both are understandably closed as it is November. There is a nice playground for the children and the pool is just across the road. We spent a lovely week despite the rain and did a lot in the area.

Unfortunately we had to realize that the barrier is closed from 12:00-15:00. We were there at 12:10 and were then very unfriendly... instructed to leave the barrier backwards with the caravans.
After 15:00 we were then able to drive onto the site.
We were also surprised that the site is so expensive in the low season.
Even if you don't do anything yourself and have everything done by contractors.
The whole area with the hedges looked very unkempt.
For us very incomprehensible that a place operator 3 hrs.

We were guests of CP Stadtsteinach over a long weekend (from August 19 to August 23).
Unfortunately, we spent very little time on the campsite, sleeping there and using the sanitary facilities. The sanitary facilities are not the newest but technically in order and well maintained.... During our stay the sanitary facilities were always clean. The campsite is beautifully landscaped and well maintained.
Dogs are welcome on the campsite, but there are no dog showers or dog stations. However, it is possible to walk dogs from the campsite without any problems.
The campsite is ideal for city tours or as a starting point for hiking tours. Due to the lack of cycle paths and rather narrow side roads, it is better to refrain from cycling tours. Camping guests can currently use the municipal swimming pool across the road for 50 cents. All in all, there is absolutely nothing to complain about. What struck us as absolutely positive was the friendly tone on the site. The site is generously designed (both the pitch and the paths).
Gastronomy:... Great value for money. The quality and taste of the food was excellent.
Swimming pool: absolutely ok, just a bit cold. But changes are to be made there.
Sanitary: a little older, but always clean. The shower heads have been replaced by rain showers.
