- Benno S.October 2019Dobre straneNice receptionNegativne straneEnvironmental pollution characterizes the region, access not optimal, ugly area of permanent campers. It must have been nice here once!We chose the site for those passing through, as dogs are allowed. The entrance is located on a kind of highway exit and is therefore not safe to reach by bike. At first glance and in the entrance area, the site is quite inviting. The ladies at reception (some of whom also speak German) were very friendly.... The fact that the dog was allowed on the beach - contrary to the stated prohibitions - was due to the fact that it was simply unvisited. The Mar Minor is no longer suitable for swimming. The water is hopelessly polluted. On the lower part of the complex there are many permanent campers who have extensions to their weekend huts here and there, giving the whole thing the dingy appearance of favelas. Dogs are not allowed in the local restaurant. To the east, on the beach, there is a very nice bar. From there you can also see the concrete castles on the opposite side of the beach. It's a mystery to me how this area could be so unrestrainedly disfigured. After all, we were infested with all kinds of flies, mosquitoes and other blood-sucking insects on our tour of Europe, some of which lasted several days at 13 campsites. This site was the only one that left us with bad memories. The site itself is well-kept, the pitches OK, the possibilities for excursions by bike are limited.Automatski prevedeno.
- Frank D.September 2017Dobre straneGood location, nice reception, large spaces, visually separatedNegativne straneThe sea is inland: lukewarm and somewhat murky. Sanitary facilities are outdated, but OK and clean. No hot water for washing up.Good space in need of modernization in an outdated environment. To be honest, the campsite and the whole area have seen their best days. We are now here in the off-season (Sep 17), still looking for warmth in the evenings and have found what we were looking for. The site is large (you need a bike to get from the beach to the entrance), well parcelled out, the 100... m² pitches are recommended and have their own water supply. You can also jump around in front of the campervan in light clothing. Campers looking for a lot of contact will be disappointed here. If you like, you can park the camper van sideways and isolate yourself. Also ok. There are many permanent campers and tinkered mobile homes here. It looks a bit like a slum or a bazaar: if you walk through the rows, you have a lot to look at. However, it's a different story. The sanitary facilities are plentiful and very clean, although they are quite old. No investment has been made here for decades, but it is easily adequate. There are toilet seats and single-ply toilet paper from a central dispenser. What is bad, however, is that there is no hot water for flushing. I got hot water from the shower, but it's a nuisance. The shopping facilities are good if you are here by car: the Euro-Spar on site is very well stocked, with lots of products from the UK, NL and D as well as lots of technical spare parts for winter campers. There are plenty of supermarkets in the neighboring villages, but these are thinned out in winter. If you cycle across the island of La Manga, the morbid charm of the 60s/70s/80s catches up with you: The sins of construction that grow into the sky, this is mass tourism in its purest form. Everything is slowly falling into disrepair and doesn't look nice, especially in the off-season. The CP beach is nice: lots of palm trees, fine sand, constant wind. But the bay is an inland saltwater lake. You walk for ages into the warm and murky water and yet you're only in the water up to your waist. Conclusion: We were looking for sunshine and balmy evenings, whereas in France and on the Costa Brava it gets very chilly in the evenings. We found what we were looking for, we enjoy it, but don't need more than sun, a bit of beach, our bikes and a few local products. We didn't try the restaurant.Automatski prevedeno.
- Regina F.March 20171000 € damage !!!!!In spring 2017, we went on a round trip through Spain. We were guided by a campsite employee to a pitch that was not suitable for a motorhome of our size. When we tried to leave this pitch, the access roads narrowed to such an extent that we could no longer maneuver with our camper van and therefore... suffered damage to the rear. The site management and the employee who instructed us should have known that the designated site was not suitable for us. We were left with the damage of 1000 €. We will not be using this site again!Automatski prevedeno.
- Felix S.March 2017Dobre straneProper infrastructureNegativne straneRestaurant not recommendedThe little things are not right hereThe site is large and has plots separated by hedges. There is both electricity and water for each pitch. The ground is coarse gravel. The sanitary facilities are clean, but there is a maintenance backlog. The restaurant serves poorly prepared frozen food. Wifi costs extra. Ideal for windsurfers due to the constant windsAutomatski prevedeno.
- Uta J.January 2017Dobre straneA good place to spend the winterNegativne straneI can't think of anythingPrice - performance is rightWe were there from Jan to April 17 and liked it so much, we'll be back from October 1 and stay until April. I think that says it all.Automatski prevedeno.
- Peter W.January 2016Negativne stranePromises not kept. Only received a small seat, although a larger one was reserved. Not recommendedSome of the pitches are very small. Mar Menor is very dirty. Fertilizer is washed into the water from the surrounding fields.Automatski prevedeno.
- Hrnčíř J.July 2015Caravaning in La MangaLarge camp with works of 80 or 100m2, which are bordered by zeb three sides of oleanders. In the camp there is a large well stocked Spar shop where meat is also available for purchase. The camp is situated at Mare Minor with healing water (in summer the water temperature is 34 degrees). The Mediterranean sea with sandy beaches is about 4 km away. Surfing is possible in the bay of Cala Reona or on Cabo de Palos.Automatski prevedeno.
- Nicolas P.December 2013Dobre stranePosti grandiNegativne stranePosti annuali con strutture a volte un po' troppo disastrate.Immenso !!!!Moltissimi posti annuali. Piazzole OK, ristorante carino e buono. Ci siamo stati in inverno quindi la cittadina era deserta.Automatski prevedeno.
- Hansruedi B.November 2013Good place to spend the winter. There are lots of activities on offer. Great climate in winter. Beautiful, large pitches separated by hedges. Lots of English people. Much more needs to be invested in the good but outdated infrastructure.Automatski prevedeno.
- Martin G.April 2013Dobre straneLarge plotsNegativne straneExtensive groundsPleasant campsiteThis 32-hectare site is mainly used by permanent campers and winter tourists. The spacious pitches are all gravelled and divided by high hedges. The sanitary blocks are practically furnished and clean. Adjacent to the site is a sandy beach overgrown with palm trees. Shopping is available in the campsite's own store or in the Spar supermarket approx. 5 km away.Automatski prevedeno.
- Markus und Barbara L.February 2013Super nice campsite. Very nicely situated. Each pitch is separated by hedges. The staff are very friendly. We had our two dogs with us. It was tip top and we were able to go on very nice hikes. There is a large Spar 2 km away. Highly recommended for shopping. (The meat is not as fresh in the Spar at the campsite)Automatski prevedeno.
- Hans-Peter H.January 2013Ideal place to spend the winter. Costs for long-term stays (winter) over 60 days very reasonable. Well-stocked supermarket on site. Restaurant open 7 days, reasonable prices, good quality. Sufficiently large pitches, separated by hedges, electricity, water, waste water on each pitch. WiFi for a fee.... Good transport connections to Cartagena/Murcia every hour. Bus stop directly at the entrance. Good hiking opportunities in the Parque Regional de CalblanqueAutomatski prevedeno.
- Jörg L.October 2012The place has a fairly wide spectrum from loud (on the street) to quiet (on the Mar Menor). The sparse greenery always gives the impression of dust and dirt. The pitches, some of which are covered in gravel, are particularly unsightly with a tent. On the other hand, the Manga offers everything you could wish for, from nature to parties. The area is really beautiful, where else do you have two seas?Automatski prevedeno.
- Christian W.October 2012Very large site, mainly frequented by seasonal campers in the fall. Has the character of a village, from the pitches enclosed by fences to the department store (which is no longer a store) and its own chapel. Very beautiful beach with palm trees, but the lagoon is shallow and hardly suitable for swimming.... Not suitable for campers with a penchant for individuality (travelers). Despite the abundance of facilities, we felt out of place with the children, as the site is 95% geared towards the needs of seasonal campers. Restaurant on the beach too expensive and unfriendly.Automatski prevedeno.
- Holmer L.December 2011Dobre straneSupermarket very good.Negativne straneDifficult to walk a dog as pitches near the exit are occupied by long-term campers. No side exits.Large CP on the Mar MenorToo much shade on the pitches as a winter camper. The best pitches occupied by long-term campers. Not so great with a dog. Long walk to the beach. Good supermarket on the site.Automatski prevedeno.

- Norbert S.October 2011We stayed at the campsite from the end of September 2011 to the end of March 2012. We liked it very much. Only the sanitary blocks are not to my taste, they could be modernized. However, they were always clean (cleaned 3 times a day), so there's nothing to complain about.Automatski prevedeno.
- Jürgen K.October 2011Definitely the most beautiful campsite in southern Spain with great leisure facilities. The staff are super friendly (a few words of Spanish don't hurt) and the sanitary facilities are cleaned 3 times a day and are very clean. The location on the mar menor is a dream and the view of the La Manga skyline... from the restaurant in the evening is amazing. The pitches are nice and large (don't save on space and take a small one) with their own water and waste water connections. The campsite is ideal in the low season and of course great for wintering. The price-performance ratio is also excellent. The CP is highly recommendedAutomatski prevedeno.
- Bill A.October 2011Poor showers, (either cold or hot, can not be regulated.) Dusty, poorly maintained plots, tall trees and hedges that block the sun.Automatski prevedeno.
