It was only on the first day that we were bothered by the sight of the taller hotels / apartment blocks right next door, but on the second day we "no longer noticed" them. I'd rather not comment on the accommodation prices, they are through the roof here, like almost everywhere else. But you know that in advance if you're not naively traveling without informing yourself. Like everywhere else, I am annoyed by the tourist tax levied by the municipality (not by the campsite), especially here, as the path to and on the beach was not cleaned during our 7-day stay, and the pizza boxes from the event on the first evening were still lying around in the forest and on the beach a week later.
Central and only 100 meters to the beach, we will be back
Nice welcome at reception, friendly "escort" to the reserved pitch. We liked it straight away, like all the pitches (we had a comfort pitch) it was quite large. Well-kept grass everywhere, unless ignorant fellow campers had laid out their all-destroying plastic sheeting. The entire site, including the... sanitary facilities, was very clean and well maintained. The small shop had delicious bread rolls and lots of things that are always forgotten when packing. We ate twice in the small cozy restaurant, service and quality very good, prices moderate. The bus to Cuxhaven city center and the harbor stops almost directly at the campsite. We had chosen Helgoland and Neuwerk as our excursion destinations. I enjoyed Helgoland with the catamaran, but my wife got seasick as hell. That's why we canceled Neuwerk, which wasn't so bad for us as we were born in Buxtehude and had been there for the first time 45 years ago. One more thing about the beach and the North Sea: we weren't in the water and we're not mudflat walkers, we also knew that the water would be gone when we got there.

Beautiful and manageable campsite
A beautiful, manageable campsite with plenty of showers and toilets, which are always in exemplary clean condition - that deserves a special mention! The operators and all the staff are extremely friendly and courteous. Despite the central location, the site is pleasantly quiet. The proximity to the beach and the center of Duhn with its numerous restaurants and shopping opportunities rounds off the positive overall picture perfectly.

Great place in a top location!
A great "small" site with plenty of showers, toilets etc., the cleanliness of which should definitely be mentioned! Both the operators and the staff are very friendly and courteous. Despite the central location, the site is very quiet. The proximity to the beach and the center of Duhn, with its many... restaurants and shopping opportunities round off the whole thing!
What is a bit of a shame is the fact that dogs are not allowed on the beach..... (But that's not the fault of the operators... There are dog beaches nearby.... The dog area behind the dyke also fulfills its purpose! So everything is fine...)

Great small campsite in a prime location.
A great, smaller site with very nice operators.
We received a very friendly welcome and were shown to our reserved comfort pitch. It had water, waste water, electricity and satellite connection. The whole site is extremely clean and well-kept, the sanitary building is a little older but always spotlessly... clean. You have everything you need. There is also a store with fresh bread rolls and a small restaurant. The location directly behind the dyke is great and invites you to go for a walk or cycle.
Conclusion: Good value for money with a very nice feel-good atmosphere and peace and quiet, which helps you to relax. Special compliments to Julius Brütt, who always had an open ear.
Thank you and we would love to come back.

Evaluation of the campsite
Rarely have I experienced such a nice atmosphere with the guys from the campsite!
The sanitary area was always clean and looked well looked after, from our point of view, after over 30 years of camping experience, it couldn't be better.
The restaurant can still be expanded - but the food is good and... sufficient for a camper! They make an effort. The food on offer in Duhnen is of course unbeatable and cannot be compared.
The price-performance ratio is fine. We will be back!!!!

A beautiful place in a top location
We stayed at this campsite for the first time in September. Super great location, shopping facilities on site and nearby. The facilities on the pitches are great. The pitches are a bit cramped here and there, but that's fine. Everything nearby is easy to reach by bike. What can I say? We'll be back again.

Place was perfect, unfortunately the municipality has many restrictions for dogs
Best location, great service
Good service, the reception always tried to make something possible, despite high occupancy. Sanitary facilities were clean and would have been sufficient for a larger pitch. Showers with hand showers, perfect for the ladies. Unfortunately there were far too many people in Duhnen again, but we will be back.

Vacation at the North Sea
We spontaneously got a place for a longer weekend. The grounds are well maintained and the staff are friendly. It was a nice vacation

Cramped, expensive, few leisure activities on the pitch
Actually quite nice, but....
I was there for 2 nights with my little one (9 years old) and a tent. We were given a really friendly welcome. Electricity and wifi were free. Our pitch was shady and also slightly hidden, which we liked! Everyone there was very friendly and accommodating. The pitch was clean and well maintained, as... were the sanitary facilities.
From that point of view, everything was good!
However, I thought the price was too high, the pitches are very small and everything is very close together. Unfortunately, there is little to nothing to do on the site itself. To have some fun you have to go towards the North Sea, that's where everything is. Football and basketball courts, a large playground, mini golf course and not to forget: the North Sea with all its advantages!
Duhnen is also not far away.
We felt at home and if you like hiking, walking or just relaxing by the North Sea, you're in good hands here!

Very pleasant vacation in beautiful surroundings
Super nice staff and very helpful. In the high season it gets crowded but you are so close to the sea is hardly better. Shopping or shopping is within walking distance without any problems. We have booked again

Ideal location for a spa vacation or to recharge your batteries. There are dogs on the site, but they are more than well behaved (keyword: dog barking!) as are the 👶. The site management will continue to ensure that it stays that way.

The space in general is good but also quite tight. Even the XL pitches are not very big. The prices are a bit high in comparison. Proximity to the beach is included in the price.

Well-kept campsite in a top location
We stayed on the site for 1 week and felt very comfortable. The sanitary facilities are very clean, the showers are nice and big and you didn't need any shower tokens. There is also a small kiosk for emergency purchases. There is also a cozy restaurant with delicious food. All the staff were always friendly.... Our pitch was spacious and our dog was also very welcome. There is a small playground for children. The beach is a 3-minute walk away. It doesn't get any better than this.

Beautiful campsite
We (2 adults) had actually booked the place for 10 days. Due to my husband's illness we had to extend, but this was possible without any problems. The staff as well as the owner always tried to help me when problems arose. I think we will come back next year.

Good place in the immediate vicinity of the sea
The site is close to the sea (there are no closer sites in Duhnen). We had a comfort pitch. We booked this online, which worked really well. Unfortunately, we were informed on arrival that the pitch we had reserved was not available and that we would be given another one. We then had the choice between... two pitches. The sanitary blocks were cleaned several times a day. We stayed here for 14 days from the end of August to the beginning of September. You should definitely make a reservation during this time. The campsite was fully booked several times at this time. If we come to Cuxhaven again, we will book here again.

The site is very clean with good catering and roll service. For me personally, the pitches are too small and not separated from the neighbors, e.g. with a hedge. For those who don't care, the pitch is perfect.

We liked it.
Someone has thought about the shower cubicles, they are very well equipped (hand shower, bench, hook, water without interruption). We didn't have to pay extra for the 2nd car on the pitch. Comfort pitches are large enough. Food in the restaurant was good. Wifi worked perfectly.
