- Udo P.rujan 2025Hard to beat.The site is beautifully situated on a slope, directly below the massive Schlern. We had a quiet pitch, not so close to other campers, at least on one side because of a few trees. The really wonderful wash houses and toilet facilities are underground and you can't hear anything even when you walk past,... not even a hairdryer. We are absolutely delighted with the facilities. It's more like a 5-star hotel. We also had a private bathroom, which had the advantage that we didn't always have to walk around with our toilet bag. The restaurant "Zur Quelle" is hard to beat. There are no covered outdoor areas sheltered from light and rain.
It is essential in my opinion to provide a refrigerator and a stove.
The bathrooms are too far from this area of the campground.

The sanitary facilities look good, but there are far too few showers. The exhaust air in the showers was very bad, at times it had a sauna character.
The reception including the staff and the store were great.

A good starting point for experienced hikers - or those who want to become one! We always go there on our MTBs and like to spend the night at the hut - usually in combination with a via ferrata! The beautiful, but also overcrowded, Völser Weiher is a great place to... relax. Good themed trails, also for smaller children, nearby - especially the geology trail should be mentioned (but not for the untrained). Great public transport connections in both directions,... thanks to the South Tyrolean guest card you can travel by bus for free. The infrastructure and organization is like in Austria, so tip top! =)
We also used the "Deluxe" rental pool for a week, which we really appreciated. Otherwise many people had to queue for a shower at peak times. For the price, however, I think spare rolls of toilet paper, hand soap and towels or at least a shower mat should be provided. The other sanitary facilities were also very clean and well equipped (dishwashing station incl. dishwasher and laundry room with tumble dryer.) The campsite managed to amaze us with the care and elegance of the facility, the quality of the services, and the kindness of the staff. We... have stayed at the best campsites in the Alps but the Seiser Alm is in a category of its own ! Not to be missed the aperitif with a view of the Sciliar moreover the cable car to the alpe is only 3 stops from the camping with buses running every 15 minutes in summer.
