The train station is within easy walking distance, and there are also shops directly opposite. There is also a bread roll service on site and a snack bar. Brings back old memories of the former TCS campsite in Davos.
Was a guest at Camping Viamala for 4 weekends in 2021 (3 x in a chalet and 1 x with a tent). This year... for the first time a whole week.
It was again very nice and relaxing days in Thusis.
A good starting point for various activities. Viamala Gorge, hikes, swimming pool next to the campsite, train rides to Chur or the Engadin......
I felt very well looked after by Mrs. Schön and her team. the site is pleasantly quiet. the facilities are clean. the town is a short walk away.
It is a pity that the stay does not entitle you to discounted use... of public transport.
Disentis is a good example.
The immediate surroundings invite you to go for a walk.
The floodlights of the sports facilities on two sides of the area are really very annoying.
The floodlights stay on all night.

The sanitary facilities, like the whole site, are clean and pleasant. Only the number of showers is a bit limited. But you can get around this by not showering at peak times in the evening.
It... is suitable for families with children, but also for people looking for peace and quiet, as it is pleasantly quiet (provided you don't camp right next to the playground).
In the immediate vicinity there is:
- a sports field and a 'red' pitch with basketball hoops and football goals.
- Outdoor pool (free of charge for camping guests, as of 2021)
- Bike trail center: https://www.trailcenter-thusis.ch/ very well maintained, with different levels of difficulty and a barbecue area
- The Vitaparcour is also located there
- There is a pump track near the school in the neighboring village of Sils im Domleschg, a little further away on foot
- Catering: The restaurant on site serves delicious food! And if you're self-catering, you can stock up on groceries at the nearby Coop Pronto petrol station. Migros/Coop Thusis is also within easy walking distance.

The team takes loving care of the guests and their pitches. Nothing is missing for a relaxing vacation. The campsite is in a great location for starting MTB tours.
