"Expensive, customer unfriendly and rigid organization. - On the 15 to the 16 May 2024 I stayed one night at Glyttinge-Linköping campsite. There I had to pay 375 SEK for a tent with electricity. I thought it was a lot but only had one experience a day before with a Swedish campsite for 300 SEK so I didn't know what was fair! On my return trip I was also at a First Camp campsite near Malmö, there I paid 221 SEK. That seemed a more fair price for the same kind of place (1 person in a small car without a tent). Because I thought it was strange and expensive, I sent First Camp an e-mail and asked for an explanation. They responded only after 11 days with this sentence: "Our prices are dynamic, providing flexibility similar to that seen in the rail and airline industries. This means that prices are adjusted according to demand. To help you find the best prices, we have our Low Price Calendar, where you can explore our destinations with just your desired price ranges." Then I took another look at Glyttinge-Linköping's site myself and it showed that here too and place cost 221 SEK! Strange that I was then charged 375 SEK? Almost 70% more expensive than Malmö, unbelievable!!! I sent an e-mail asking for a refund of what I thought was an overpayment. After 2 days I received the same answer as the first time! In response to a third mail I received the answer that I accepted the booking. So no compensation at all. Unfortunately for me a bad experience with First Camp as an organization and the Glyttinge-Linköping campsite. WARNING for others: PAY ATTENTION WHEN REGISTERING OR BOOKING AT FIRST CAMP Glyttinge- Linköping!

"Dubious - It was only possible to view the pitches after paying in advance (1 overnight stay). Unfortunately, we agreed to this. The pitches for tents are in the far corner at the edge of the forest. The edge of the forest was teeming with ants (large wood ants). The electricity connection was over 30m away (who has such a long cable in their tent luggage). The receptionist supposedly knew nothing about these problems. We didn't want to stay at this campsite (with a baby and without electricity but with lots of ants in the tent). They didn't want to give us our money back. The receptionist referred us to the Firstcamping website (this was the only way to get our money back via a complaint). We drove to the next hotel (baby and evening). Back home again: We were told by the receptionist at the time that we could only claim our money back via the online complaint, because clarification at reception was not possible. However, after we checked the Firstcamp homepage, it referred us to the reception of the respective campsite. The receptionist at the campsite should have known this. So she lied to us. As did the supervisor who was consulted by telephone! Is this the method at Firstcamping? In Germany, this is a criminal offense (fraud). We are going to hire a lawyer.

"No room for tourists! - Nice place with decent sanitary facilities. However, in mid-May, when we visited this site, it was 80% populated by people with a migration background or Sinti and Roma who lived in the huts. Some Swedes who lived there in their caravans hid in their caravans or attached steel bars to the caravan door when they went to the toilet. We, as paying tourists, were allocated a place right next to this spectacle, although there would have been enough places further away. Extremely unpleasant atmosphere. Not suitable for paying tourists on vacation.

"Camping - Friendly and maintained campsite with shade and surrounded by greenery. Social facilities clean and maintained. Be sure to stop here again. Friendly staff.

This makes Glyttinge the perfect starting point for fun day trips. At Camping Glyttinge there is always something fun to do. With the city of Linköping close by you will have a variety of culture, activities, sports and shopping for the whole family to choose from. Here you will find Gamla Linköping Open-Air Museum, the Museum of Östergötland, the Swedish Air Force Museum and also a very popular water park. Glyttinge is also a perfect starting point for those of you who want to take a boat ride along Göta kanal or make a day trip to Kolmården zoo and Astrid Lindgren theme park. At the camping site there is also a big and beautiful playground for the children and a mini golf course for the whole family to enjoy.
