"Kato Alissos is more of a transit point for waiting for the ferry. - This is not a place for campers who want to stay for several weeks but really only a transit site. We drove on the next day because of the condition.

"Suitable for overnight stays to and from the ferry - The site is conveniently located for arrival and departure near Patras. The restaurant in front of the campsite is highly recommended.

"For 1-2 days - July 2009: Ideal CP to wait for the ferry. You can stay until the ferry departs at no extra cost on the day of departure. We have been visiting this site with our WOMO for many years. The food in the taverna is good and reasonably priced. There is also a beach bar on the beach. All in all, very pleasant. July 2014: Unfortunately, the beach bar was washed out by the sea and is no longer in operation. Also the showers are no longer active, showers are now about 50m from the beach at the restaurant.

" - Small, unpretentious campsite with a friendly welcome. Very shady. Dogs (of which there were many during our stay) unfortunately cause noise pollution. Good sanitary facilities, shared fridge and kitchen. Unfortunately, the poorly maintained beach was not very attractive. Very pleasant restaurant with typical cuisine.

" - CP near Patras with lemon trees. However, these are probably the only positive points. The beach is dirty, narrow and the water is full of algae; not really usable. There is a restaurant and a small store, but it doesn't offer much. The sanitary facilities are barely okay. We originally wanted to stay 2 nights, but then changed to the Akrata Beach campsite (60km east of Patras) for the second night. We would also recommend CP Akrata Beach, which is a little further away, for transit to/from the ferry.

" - Small place that is not directly on the beach. The beach itself is very narrow and not very clean. The sanitary facilities on the site are old but still in good condition and reasonably clean. The taverna in front of the campsite is highly recommended with delicious food and a great view. The prices were reasonable. The site is best suited for an overnight stay before the ferry departs or after arriving by ferry, as it is only a few kilometers from Patras.

Profiilini

Our campsite is located in the Peloponnese, 21 km west of Patras, on the beach of KATO ALISSOS. It is located in a natural and green environment. Olive trees, orange trees, lemon trees and many other types of trees and …plants adorn the entire site. You can go for a swim on our long beach. Try our traditional recipes in the shade of the 1000-year-old and huge wild olive tree overlooking the bay of Patraikos and the city of Patras. Visit the attractions of our region and learn more about ancient and contemporary Greek culture. The campsite has a restaurant that serves Greek cuisine, fresh fish and beef for lunch and dinner. There is also a bar on the beach where you can enjoy your favourite drink. The campsite also has a mini-market where you can get fresh bread and milk every day, as well as other products. There are showers with free hot water throughout the day, sinks with hot water for washing dishes, washing machines, a place for hand washing clothes with free hot water, a place for ironing and benches for cooking, as well as a place for emptying chemical toilets. There is also the option of electricity for all locations and the supply of drinking water. There is a simple playground for children with a seesaw and swings. There is also a facility for bad weather. In the high season, folklore evenings with folk music and dancing take place regularly. This is a pleasant way to get in touch with typical Greek culture. Cooking classes and wine tastings are also organised.
