No online booking portal, therefore no free choice of pitch on the terrace pitches, because they are trying to optimize the occupancy of the pitches, I can understand, wishes are also taken into account, but I am a fan of knowing BEFOREhand where I am standing.A place of longingWe were there in May with our 3 children on a terrace pitch with a view of the lake.
The site is manageable in size and actually offers something for everyone, there are parceled out areas as well as the large meadow. There is a wash house for the whole site, which is always very clean, showers are included... for 3 minutes, then the hot water pauses for a few minutes and then you can shower for another 3 minutes and so on. In the middle of the site, like a tower hill castle, is an area where vacation homes are available for rent, with the pitches around the outside. Half of the site is surrounded by Lake Luckow and the other half by a forest. The view over the lake is picturesque. There is a bathing area with a playground (walking barefoot is not recommended here because of all the duck poop) and an entertainment program for children. Sternberg is within walking distance, where there are stores for daily needs. The place is very well maintained and still exudes a little GDR flair (Plattenweg am See), but that is gradually disappearing, I think they still try very hard, we felt very comfortable there.
All in all, the location is ideal for us, the site is picturesquely situated in a beautiful area and yet centrally located to be quickly in Wismar, Schwerin or Güstrow, where there is plenty to explore for young and old.Käännetty automaattisesti.- s j.huhtikuu 2023PositiivisetWe were able to choose a pitch as there wasn't much going on yet. All pitches with water, electricity and satellite connection. Sanitary facilities, kitchen and washroom very clean and spotless! The water runs for 3 minutes when showering and is really hot. Bread roll service works great. The kiosk has everything you have forgotten 😉 the dogs both got a welcome box. enough garbage cans for the poop bags and a constant supply is available.NegatiivisetThe water for showering could be increased to 4 minutes as I'm not that quick. The dog bathing area is full with 2 dogs, could be tight at other times of the year. If the paths were gradually adapted and repaved, my little inner Monk would be happy.nice clean placeWe were there for the first time and can recommend the place with a clear conscience!

The staff at reception were very friendly and courteous. You immediately feel well looked after. If you are looking for peace and quiet then you are in good hands here. The dog owners get their money's worth. poop bags are offered everywhere... and that's good. we were allowed to choose a place. The pitches are super large except for a few. The most pleasant thing about the pitches is the water connection, electricity connection and satellite connection. This eliminates the need to set up your own satellite system. The sanitary facilities are spacious and are cleaned several times. You can leave the site with your dog through a side gate and you are immediately in the forest, which is very pleasant for your furry friends. There is also a dog beach, which is not very big, but there are places all around the lake where your dog can go into the water. For families with small children there is a nice playground with a sunbathing area. For the older ones there are canoes and rowing boats and pedal boats to hire. All in all, an all-round successful campsite where there are many possibilities. The choice of pitches really offers everything, sunny,... shady, semi-shady, evening sun, view of the lake, whatever, there is a suitable pitch. They are also large enough. We quickly found the perfect pitch for us, centrally located, not far from the lake and the sanitary building. Really great.
The sanitary building also offers everything your heart desires. Sufficient toilets, showers (3 minutes hot water, then 3 minutes to warm up). 3 minutes sounds really short, but it's enough), wash cubicles, washbasins. There was even a children's/baby bath for smaller mice in both the men's and women's areas. In addition, the sanitary facilities were always clean and tidy.
There is also a laundry room and washing machines & dryers, which we did not use.
The beach was great, there was also a lifeguard on site. There is a jetty from which you can take a dip or two. You can hire pedal boats and canoes. There is also a small snack bar with the world's best currywurst and absolutely friendly service.
In the main building there is also a small café and a small kiosk, which actually has everything you could possibly need. There is also a daily bread roll service, where you can order rolls the day before and pick them up warm the next morning. Super.
There was always something going on for the children, playground anyway, but also fishing for beginners, bike tours, puppet theater... All in all really great, so great for us that we extended our vacation by 2 days. We will definitely be back soon :-)

We found it very negative that the mask requirement and distance regulations were not observed. This is indicated on various... signs, but very few people adhere to them.
You could say that it's not the operators' fault. However, if nobody but us is wearing a face mask in the morning in the bread roll queue and the staff don't say anything, we think that's bad.

There are also good opportunities for anglers here. There is a wide range of activities for children and adults. A very nice place to explore the surrounding area.
