" Just come - "we'll find a nice place for you;" by the way, the place doesn't have 20, but about 100 places.
And then we chose the best place for us together - without any complications :-).
We were promised that... our unobstructed view of the water would not be blocked by a motorhome or caravan - and the promise was kept! Simply TOP !!!
There is a Netto about 6 - 7 km away - so it's also easy to reach by bike.
By the way, tent travelers always find a place!

The site is located directly on the E9 long-distance hiking trail and is... very quiet.
It impresses with a high degree of cleanliness and the garden is also very well maintained (flowers)!
The infrastructure of the village of Stahlbrode is not overwhelming, but you can get dinner and breakfast.

There is a lot of nature and tranquility around and an ideal starting point to explore the Hanseatic cities of Stralsund and Greifswald. The island of Rügen is in view and has given us many wonderful memories and is... always worth a trip. In conclusion, I would like to say that the price ratio at this campsite is unbeatable and we had a wonderful stay. Unfortunately, we don't like going back to the same place, but I would like to thank the owners for their fairness and friendliness. A great natural site with a view of the sea/bodden. The pitches are far too small, no real privacy. Sometimes so narrow that our neighbors couldn't even pitch their awning properly. The staff on site is a bit moody, sometimes nice, sometimes not. Electricity columns too far apart take a proper... cable with 50m +. There is only 1 fresh water point directly in front of the registration. The sanitary facilities were always clean but bathroom and toilet together in one room is not necessary. The existing bathing area is good for cooling off but not for swimming. Very friendly and helpful staff, a beautiful panoramic view of Rügen, small beach right on the site, strategically located to explore Stralsund, Greifswald and Rügen. You have to drive a bit to go shopping, but you can get fresh and smoked fish at... the harbor, which is within walking distance, and you can eat quite well at the Fährhaus. One small drawback: the toilets and washrooms are not separate. But you can live with that in the end. We are a young couple in our late 20s ;-) As we actually wanted to go to Stralsund or Altefähr, but unfortunately this campsite was already full, we made a quick call to Stahlbrode and were able to come straight away. "We can always find a... place for a tent" we were told on the phone. So we set off. The drive there was very pleasant, via the A11, A20 and then the B105. The campsite and Stahlbode are very easy to find and we found it even without a satnav. The reception was unfortunately not manned when we arrived, as the manager was out and about on the site, but she appeared after only about 5 minutes. The boss (that's what I'll call her now) is very, very nice! We stayed for 3 nights but couldn't pay straight away because we didn't have enough cash with us. But that wasn't a problem, we could just pay the next day. We were then briefly explained everything (but had to ask again later because we had already forgotten half of it ;-)) and she showed us the meadow for the tents. "Choose a nice spot" we were told. "Then park the car up here, where there's space" No sooner said than done, we picked a nice spot for the tent. There really is space! We could easily set up a tumble dryer (for hanging up) etc. around us without getting too close to the neighbors. It was very pleasant that we weren't allocated a pitch and weren't really restricted in our space. We were also allowed to drive the car onto the meadow to unload and load the tent. Very good, so we didn't have to lug all our stuff around! About the pitch. Directly with bathing facilities! Very nice meadow to linger and sunbathe, not so crowded. Unfortunately, the water was very muddy and not exactly inviting for a swim, but that's not the campsite's fault. The site is otherwise very uneven and hilly. But well looked after. About the sanitary facilities: The sanitary building looks quite new, but is already showing signs of wear. But that's just the way it is. Everything worked, but unfortunately I had no hot water for showering on all three days. But that toughens you up and was quite pleasant at almost 30 degrees outside. Unfortunately(!!!) a big minus point for me personally. Washrooms and toilets are in one room, so to speak! While one person does their business there, the other brushes their teeth at the washbasin. As I always combined brushing my teeth and showering, I didn't find it that annoying, but you have to be pretty hard-boiled to brush your teeth at the washbasin while the other person next to you is relieving himself. It would have been nicer if the washroom and toilet rooms were separate. The toilets and shower rooms were cleaned at least twice on all three days! Everything was very clean and the campsite management can't be held responsible for some guests who simply behaved like pigs! The paths from the tent meadow to the washroom and toilet block are acceptable! The other facilities: Camper kitchen with: - Microwave - hotplates - kettle - 2 fridges These are freely available to all camping guests, but were full to bursting even at the above-mentioned temperatures. Nevertheless, this is a very great service! - Small oven - 1 sink Unfortunately, the sink is very full at peak times and you have to bring time to wash your dishes. Another negative aspect is that the hot water runs out when the sink is full. There is a small pavilion in front of the camper kitchen, which you could use for breakfast etc. All in all a nice place! It is wonderfully located between Stralsund and Greifswald! The team is really nice and the site is very clean! Nothing is with 20 pitches, much more. Washing up is also a bit difficult with one sink for the whole site. Especially as there is only boiling hot water, according to the boss there is cold water outside.... Incidentally, this is the only fresh water tap we were told about, for all campers. You can tell that the camper, the boss, personally serves you here. An employee would not be allowed to do that!
