"Top-managed campsite in a beautiful and quiet location - We were last at this wonderful campsite in 2019 and have now (2025) spent the Whitsun weekend there with our caravan. The new operator couple Wanke took over Camping Emstal fresh in April 2025 and you can tell from their positive energy how they want to carefully optimize and design the site according to their ideas. It makes a very fresh impression. However, what could be improved on the site? The pitches are all very generously sized and - apart from a few undulations - are also fairly level and very easy to drive on. The sanitary building is as well maintained as ever and the layout is almost luxurious. The service and facilities are unchanged - even under new management. The campsite is in a very idyllic location. You can't get away without your own means of transportation (bicycles are ideal), but this also perfectly describes the target group of the campsite: here you are looking for peace and quiet and closeness to nature and you get this in the best possible way. This relaxed atmosphere is also noticeable in the guests. If there was anything to optimize, it would be the access road to the campsite. It has become quite bumpy and as you wouldn't be able to find the site from the access road without a sign, it's hard to believe that this is the access road to the site. No big deal, but this entrance could perhaps be tackled. But I'm sure that this will be on the agenda with the new operator couple sooner or later anyway. I wish them all the best with it. We'll be back 😊!

"Super campsite in the countryside - Very nice, quiet campsite in the countryside! Located in the middle of nature on the Ems. Lots of opportunities for cycling or just relaxing! We would love to come back!

"Super resort - We have just spent a week at the Emstal campsite. We were given a very warm welcome and were able to approach the owners at any time with questions. The site has very large pitches which are fenced off with trees and bushes. The sanitary building is very well maintained and there are very large shower cubicles. We can highly recommend the site, if you like absolute peace and quiet (only the cuckoo and birdsong could be heard) and cycling along the Ems, you should definitely spend your vacation here.

Leave the stress of everyday life behind and enjoy scenic cycling or hiking tours, as well as excursions to cultural and technical landmarks such as Clemenswerth Palace, the Meyer Shipyard, or the International Nature Park “Bourtanger Moor.” Our pitches are equipped with electricity, water, and wastewater connections, are individually parceled, and vary in layout—ranging from open pitches with views of the Ems to secluded spots enclosed by hedges. Our Emstal shop provides fresh bread rolls and a small selection of groceries, drinks, and ice cream. A modern supermarket with a wide and fresh selection is just 3.5 km away. Enjoy our modern sanitary facilities, designed with high-quality finishes, bright and welcoming interiors, and separate private areas for each guest. We look forward to welcoming you!
