Tour of Sardinia by motorhome in October: stop in Torre del Porticciolo.
The campsite is very nice and clean, right by the sea. The pitches are large and there are no price differences like at other campsites. The showers are nice and large and are cleaned frequently.
The bar opens at 7.30am and bread... can be bought at the market from 8.30am.
There are a lot of people, but the campsite is very large, so you hardly notice it. The Wi-Fi is excellent and free (at the other campsite in Palau where we stayed, you have to pay for Wi-Fi - this is simply not acceptable in 2025).
There are 3 very nice beaches near the campsite and the Grottoes of Neptune are also nearby

Schöner Urlaub in Alghero und Sardinien-Tour
Nur selten habe ich auf meinen Reisen so viel Grün und Natur gesehen: Der Campingplatz ist wirklich sehr gepflegt, mit vielen Pflanzen und offensichtlich auch viel Arbeit, denn man findet kein Papier oder Schmutz auf dem Boden.
Alles ist sehr sauber und ordentlich - die Stellplätze, die Häuser, die Sanitäranlagen....
Bei der Ankunft wählt man seinen Stellplatz aus: 2 Personen + Stellplatz = 33,00 €.
Schwimmbäder, Duschen, WLAN, Tennis - alles kostenlos.
Ich empfehle, eine Pizza zu holen und bis zum Turm zu gehen, um den Sonnenuntergang zu sehen - besser als ins Kino zu gehen.

Beautiful holiday without booking
We've just returned from 5 days in a camper at Torre del Porticciolo (two people and our dog), and we already miss the special atmosphere of that place. We chose the end of August to avoid too many crowds, and it turned out to be the perfect decision: the campsite was peaceful but still lively.

The... beach quickly became our daily haven: crystal-clear water, rocks that turn magical colors at sunset, and-something that mattered a lot to us-spaces where our dog could move around freely without anyone frowning. Walking along the shore with him early in the morning was one of the highlights of our trip.

The natural park around the village gave us simple but breathtaking hikes, surrounded by the scent of Mediterranean scrub and stunning views. Every evening we paused just to admire the silence and the colors of the setting sun over the sea-moments that stay with you.

We also tried the restaurant at the campsite: genuine dishes, fresh seafood, and perfect portions (the fregola with clams is a must-try!). One night we went for pizza and were pleasantly surprised-crispy and light.

A special thanks to the staff, always smiling and helpful: they shared tips on nearby beaches, trails, and even dog-friendly spots. You can really feel how much they care about making guests feel at home.

As for the camper, everything was great: shaded pitches, clean and convenient facilities. Even at the end of the season, everything was well looked after.

All in all, it was 5 days of pure relaxation and discovery, with our dog enjoying the holiday as much as we did. Torre del Porticciolo truly won us over: nature, sea, and hospitality in perfect balance. We'll definitely be back. 🌊🐾❤️

The cell phones don't have particularly good reception, but we were told that no antennas are allowed to be installed in the nature park. This is somehow a disadvantage - but actually also an advantage, because it keeps the surroundings more natural and peaceful. Perhaps even more of a plus.
Relaxing vacation in a well-kept vacation village right by the sea
Well-kept vacation village, just a few meters from the sea, with the Torre del Porticciolo towering on the horizon.
The accommodation was new and clean and was handed over to us in the morning at check-in. You also receive a digital card which is used for payments at the bar, restaurant and market (it... is topped up with cash and the remaining balance can be withdrawn from an ATM on the day of departure): a good idea.
The pools are nice, sun loungers and parasols are free of charge.
The Wi-Fi is fast and works well, even on the beach.
The restaurant and market are good, there is something of everything - except frozen food and fresh fish

the campsite itself is a good address.
the tent pitches are well-defined, fairly spacious, and the soil is loose, so you don't have to worry about planting sardines.
the landscape is magnificent, with a cove and a Genoese tower (a must-see, as the sea is magnificent here).
the sanitary facilities are... brand new and very large, with clean showers.
the only downside: the restaurant is a nightmare.
We waited an interminable time for our order to be taken: a swordfish fillet, grilled vegetables, a zucchini gratin and two Catalan creams.
the fish fillet was good, but very small and naked as a worm. no accompaniment, not even a poor salad leaf.
the grilled vegetables were raw, inedible. the zucchini gratin was acceptable.... and the creams catalanes were good but.... frozen!
I thought I was getting fresh fish, but I deduced that it was also frozen.
and the highlight: a glass of wine worthy of a piquette in a plastic bottle...all for 70 euros!!!!
it still sticks in my throat.
to eat badly, to wait more than 30 minutes for your order to be taken and then an interminable time to eat this junk food and to pay 70 euros is just to be taken for a ride.

the restaurant manager needs to be changed urgently.

In the off-season, only one sanitary building was open, where many showers could not be used because they had no (!!!) shelves (for glasses, brushes etc.) and only one double hook. Also in the toilets (integrated in the showers as a bath) no storage space for toilet paper. Only cold water at the sinks. The bar is not open in the afternoon - so lying by the pool and eating an ice cream is not an option.
Good place with small weaknesses
We were there for a week at the beginning of October with motorhome and dog - very nice and lovingly laid out place mainly intended for vacationers with tents or those who rent a bungalow. However, due to the sheer size of the site (which is very large), there is also enough space for motorhomes.) There... are 65 steps to the bay (some of them a bit high) - so you should be reasonably good on foot.
Also well suited for dogs, as you can go for a walk or hike from the site (very fascinating coastline - definitely take a walk).
The only downside is the sanitary building. Very nice at first glance, new... ...but in detail it is difficult to use, as there are no shelves anywhere (washbasins, showers, toilets).

Rental accommodation is miserable
The rental accommodations (chalets) are a big disappointment and offer a miserable price-performance ratio. Absolutely NOT recommended. We rented a bungalow ("chalet") during the Whitsun vacations in 2022 (and unfortunately paid in advance). The "chalet" was an old dump with inferior, partly defective... equipment. The mattresses of the beds were of the cheapest kind, just like the furniture and kitchen utensils, which were only sparsely available. Crockery and glasses were also limited to the bare essentials. The bathroom didn't seem to have been renovated for 30 years. The toilet seat broke the first time we used it. We even had a better shower on the ferry. In general - talking about "premium" on the website is a joke and deliberately misleading. We wanted different accommodation straight away, but the chalets are all equally shabby. The chalets have the comfort of south-east Asian backpacker accommodation for the price of Swiss 4-star apartments. An outrage. Although the campsite itself is nicely laid out, it is run-down and makes a neglected impression. The bar unintentionally exudes 80s charm (although the prices are "modern"), the "restaurant" is a cheek, the supermarket only offers the bare essentials at pharmacy prices. Internet (Wifi) is available in the bar and reception area, otherwise not even 3G. The organization and administration is cumbersome. On the homepage and on Facebook/Instagram the place presents itself as a "glamping" facility. The reality is truly different. We cannot recommend this site. The location of the campsite is relatively remote, it is about 30 minutes by car to Alghero, otherwise there is not much except beaches nearby. The coastal area around the campsite is picturesque and beautiful. The pool area is also simple, but well-kept and tidy.

We would love to come back. Swimming cap required in the pool. We were in the low season (Whitsun vacation). The offers were still somewhat limited.

Opening hours (10.00) wird rel strikt gehandhabt,auch in der Nebensaison kann man nicht nicht etwas länger am letzten Tag stehen bleiben. Rundherum ist ausser einem (empfehlenswerten) Restaurant nichts in der Nähe.

Camperservice outside, with the chemical toilet up to 1km to walk, then only a disgusting shaft to tip in. Fresh water only in the 2 wash houses, here time buttons, takes forever for a watering can. Campsite, store, restaurant, snack bar very expensive, other shopping facilities far away. Many excursion... destinations by car. Photogenic sandy bay, but lots of stones, sea urchins and stone slabs, great for snorkeling, otherwise Sardinia has many great beaches. Our off-season discount of 7 days pay, 8 days stay only applied to the pitch, people and electricity had to be paid for. A real mess, best to send money and not come.

Unfriendly and expensive.
Pure unfriendliness
We were allowed to pay a lot of money, but nothing else. Everything possible and impossible is forbidden, children anyway and woe betide you if you don't know the rules. Shoes in the sanitary facilities have to be washed off beforehand, bare feet are not allowed. Pool only without shoes, no walking. It's best if we send the money without showing up in future, but then we can't be milked any more. Don't go there!

Very great and new sanitary facilities
Great but expensive CP. The sanitary facilities are relatively new and fantastic. The path to the beach is steep, the beach not so great. Very pleasant live bands played in the evenings without annoying entertainers. The pool is very nice. The store at the campsite is completely overpriced and therefore not very busy. Nearest supermarket a long way away.

Great campsite!
We almost didn't go to this campsite because of the reviews here ... Fortunately, we did and even extended our stay! This campsite is a feel-good place. The thresholds in front of the entrance are moderate. All the pitches for tents are shady, fairly level, under pine trees, with stone slabs leading... to the sanitary building. There are plenty of sitting toilets and free showers. The staff are courteous and friendly. The pool area is great, very clean and large! If you like it: there is animation at the pool almost every day. The best thing is the view of the bay and the beach, although it is a bit rocky. The café and the store offer everything for daily needs, the restaurant is unfortunately not very good (neither in terms of service nor quality). The dog still barks - it is better to avoid pitches in the lower area by the fence. The restaurant in the immediate vicinity of the campsite (on the access road on the right!) is highly recommended, as are the beaches of Porto Conte. The north-west of Sardinia is easy to explore from this campsite, but is still completely quiet and off the beaten track. There is tasteful live music every evening. We felt very comfortable and would come again!

Die Lage ist super, sehr ruhig, man ist in 5 Minuten in einer traumhaften Bucht. Die Sonnenuntergänge sind atemberaubend.
Traumurlaub
Eine wunderschöne Landschaft mit Blick auf einen Berg, der aus dem Meer ragt und einem Turm. Jeden Abend konnte dort ein traumhaft er Sonnenuntergang beobachtet werden. Ein überdurchschnittlich gemütlicher und gepflegter Campingplatz der Zeit und Ruhe zum Nachdenken lässt. Und hervorzuheben ist das stets... freundliche Personal. Alles in allem ein erholsamer Ort mit Flair bei dem das Preis Leistungsverhältnis absolut stimmt. Obwohl ich sonst nie zweimal an einem Ort un Urlaub fahre, werde ich dort sich wieder hinfahren. Auf den Stellplätzen steht man schattig unter Pinien, der Platz hat einen traumhaften und großen Swimmingpool mit Süßwasser.
fast perfekt
Wir waren im August 2018 in Campeggio Villaggio Torre del Porticciolo und es war fast perfekt. Sensationelle Lage, im Vergleich zu vielen anderen Campingplätzen auf Sardinien ist der Platz selbst auch sehr schön (bei manch anderen meint man sie machen nächstes Jahr nicht mehr auf, so "rumpelig" sieht's... dort aus) und man bekommt alles was man braucht - so nötig. Toller Pool. Mobilheime Torre Smeraldo sind sehr luxuriös, neu, schön und mit großer Veranda in toller Lage. Es gibt nur wenig was den Platz von "perfekt" abhält, als da wären: 1. der kleine Laden ist sehr teuer und entsprechend wenig besucht (was sich wiederum auf das Angebot auswirkt aber das Nötigste bekommt man). Alternativ fährt man knappe 5 km in den gut sortierten CRAI-Markt in Guardia Grande. 2. alle Mobilheime haben auf der Veranda nur einen Schirm als Überdachung - das ist sowohl bei Regen als auch bei starker Sonne zu wenig da bei einer Familie von 4 Personen immer mindestens einer im Regen oder in der starken Sonne sitzen muss. Hier wäre eine kleine Überdachung die 1/3 oder die Hälfte der großzügigen Veranda überdeckt besser. Das war's aber auch schon an nicht so schönen Dingen - alles andere ist sehr, sehr schön.

Beautiful place
Beautifully laid out site approx. 15km outside Alghero. Many pitches in the shade under pine trees. Sanitary facilities all renovated and clean. The beach can be reached via a long flight of steps, but it is essential to buy food beforehand as the market is totally overpriced (pasta €3).

High security wing
The location of the pitch is very nice above a small bay. All the pitches I have seen are sloping. On the driveway you have to drive over an exaggerated number of bumps and this continues on the pitch itself. In the store, bar and restaurant you can only pay with a magnetic card, which you have to charge... beforehand. Electricity boxes are locked and you have to wait until someone comes to connect and disconnect the cable, wristbands and stickers on the car, why all this? BUT the worst are the sanitary facilities. Only squat toilets, the showers spray everything wet in the cabin including the towel (shower head not adjustable) and go out again after 30 seconds. When washing up there is only cold water, the tap has to be pressed every 10 seconds. There are several cats running around the place and sometimes they fight with each other which can be noisy. They also like to clean out the garbage can at night. In between, a dog also belts several times in the middle of the night for a few minutes (no guest, is a neighbor or the operator). Can only advise against this place.

Very nice location with bad sanitary facilities
We were with caravans in the front area (pitch 7). Good organization. All pitches under trees. Very quiet (wild boar outside the boar-proof fence in the evening). Great location. Sea can be reached via short steps (no problem!). Water only gets deeper slowly and the bottom is full of stones. Completely... unsuitable for children. But very suitable for snorkelers. No algae. No jellyfish. Very nice pool. Animation and evening music were never too loud or intrusive. Payment is made on the premises with an anonymous prepaid card. The sanitary facilities get 0 stars. Only ever cold water, all taps only supply water briefly when pressed, which usually splashes somewhere due to leaks. No soap. No dryer. Only squat toilets without paper. Own rental toilet costs 7€ per day. Sanitary area was always sufficiently clean. Very friendly staff. Nobody could speak German, English is fine. WLAN costs and only works near the building! Conclusion: We got used to the disgusting sanitary facilities after a few days. The atmosphere on the campsite was great and we went on lots of great excursions. So all in all, 4 stars.
