"Lack of camping feeling - Large campsite on flat terrain with mostly Italian permanent campers and many bungalows. The pitches are arranged in a military style, gravel ground everywhere in which you can hardly put a herring, large pitches, covered with a net. Cars must be parked in a separate parking lot, although there would be enough space on the plots, large swimming pool with swimming cap compulsory. There are two restaurants and a shopping center on the campsite. Nothing else available in the immediate vicinity. Very nice beach accessible via footpath, but at least 400 meters from the campsite. If you don't want to rent a sun lounger with parasol on the beach, you have to walk about 200 meters along the beach until there is no row of parasols. (At the beach section with the rental umbrellas you will not be tolerated without rental. (Price for a sunshade with two sun loungers min. Euro 25.-- per day, low season)

"Top campsite - We will be coming for the 5th time this year. It takes us 10 hours to get here, which is worth it. We are always here towards the end of the main season, when it gets quieter from day to day. The campsite has everything you need, but you can also get to supermarkets quickly by car to buy cheaper and with a larger selection. Follonica is a great place to cycle to. Our main reasons for coming here again and again are the private kitchen and sanitary facilities (both with key!) and the drinking water system. You don't have to buy water. This free service is unique! The entertainment team is from Your Friends, who provide similar things every year in top quality (cheerfulness, friendliness, variety, very child-friendly), there are musicals, dance shows, parties and also guest appearances (magic shows, bands etc). When we are there, there are no problems getting sun loungers by the pool at any time of day, I don't know what it's like in the weeks before. There is also a relaxation pool with a massage function. We didn't mind the mandatory swimming cap, it is very strictly controlled. There is a great playground for small children, including a bouncy castle etc. There is a huge meadow for dogs and even the possibility of looking after them. This means that there are also lots of dogs, but rarely on the beach. We have often gone on boat trips to Elba, information about excursions is available at reception. Checking in is very straightforward and quick, the staff speak very good English and sometimes very good German. There are mostly Italians on site, towards the end there are a few more Germans, Austrians and Swiss only occasionally. I think it would be great if there were bookable bus excursions to cities or beautiful sights. The train is a great way to get from Follonica to Pisa, or to Florence if you change trains. There are water parks in Follonica and Cecina. The site is generally relatively quiet, it has lots of green areas with shade, a few stores and apo

Camping Village Pappasole is an enchanting place located in the upper Maremma near the island of Elba. Here you will find a wide choice of holidays: from a sport holiday to a relaxing one, up to a very funny holiday …in the company of animation. The sea is certainly one of our strengths, as well as the many services we offer. The beach of light and fine sand has been awarded the blue flag for years and here you have the possibility to choose whether to use the beach for a fee or the free one. Inside the camping village you can choose between green areas and swimming pools, between sport and complete relaxation. And for children the fun is guaranteed with the animators of Your Friends, the same animators who guarantee the fun of adults in high season. Sports lovers will find here a paradise of sports facilities from tennis to padel and swimming in the pool. And if you travel with your 4-legged friends, we have created various relaxation areas for them and an area where they can run and have fun with their human masters!
