"Beautiful and quiet location - The reception was friendly. The site is characterized by permanent campers. We were given a nice, large pitch on the edge. Electricity connection with CH plug. Water tap nearby. Sanitary facilities in the basement of the reception building. Everything is old, but in good condition and clean. There is a cozy restaurant, but it was not in full operation due to Covid. Bread can be ordered.

" - We stayed at Le Bivouac during the high season with two small children. In summary, this is a very quiet campsite and very reasonably priced (for Switzerland). Positive elements: + great location for Vevey (10 mins), Montreux, the ski areas of Les Paccots. + Really good price (about CHF 35 per night) + quiet + although pretty full with 'Dauercampers' (permanent residents), this actually meant that it was really quiet + great children's facilities, especially those under the age of say 6 (sandpit, swings, small pool) + very friendly warden + water tap nearby + very large pitch (100sqm?) - What was not so good were the showers - just not really enough pressure, and sometimes not that hot. Toilets though are clean. - There isn't a restaurant, more of a bar. In summary: recommended.

The campsite is beautifully located in the center of the French part of Switzerland, in Châtel-St-Denis, up to Vevey.. Le Bivouac is a small, well-kept site surrounded by scented pine woods, brightly coloured meadows and traditional wooden chalets. It is …an ideal base for walking over the hillsides and valleys - the views to the French Alps are breathtaking. Lake Geneva and the cosmopolitan resort of Montreux are close enough (10mn) for day trips, or why not visit the medieval town of Gruyères and the local cheese and chocolate factories ?

The campsite is located between Châtel-St-Denis and Les Paccots, on the left side of the road leading to Les Paccots. Coming from the North, in Bern, follow the direction Fribourg (A12). Coming from the South, in Lausanne, follow the direction …Vevey (A9) and in Vevey, follow the direction Châtel-St-Denis (A12 direction Fribourg). On the motorway A12, at the exit of Châtel-St-Denis (between Vevey and Bulle), follow the direction Les Paccots. It's then very well signposted.
