"No longer the campsite it was - We have just returned from camping in de Bongerd, it is no longer the site it was in the days of the Voss family. It is no longer well maintained, the office staff are overwhelmed because people are constantly asking about next year's pitches, there are no new flyers or price lists. You are put off. Since all the chalets are now supposed to be on the plot with its own washing cubicles, a lot of seasonal campers who would like to come further afield have to be accommodated, which in my opinion is not possible. I also wonder whether the manager still lives on the site, as it looks very uninhabited. Hopefully this won't backfire. There wasn't as much going on on the pitch at this time of year as there was in previous years, you missed a lot of familiar faces

"Everything fits here - Very well-kept site in the hinterland to the holl. North Sea Very nice, well-kept pitches, all of which are parceled out. Good sanitary facilities. Perfect location to the village. Just a few minutes by bike to the beach. Very relaxed camping possible

"Too bad what has become of this great place - We stayed here again from 29.03.2019 to 13.07.2019. So far we have always enjoyed coming here because the personality of the Voss family has never been missing. The place was always well maintained. This is not the case on this vacation. Everything has suffered due to the sale to Siblu. It got to the point where we had to mow it ourselves, otherwise you can only get to the car with a machete. The hedges were not cut for 4 months, so that our caravan was completely enclosed. We were barely able to open the windows or empty the toilet. We asked for a hedge trimmer. We are not allowed to cut the hedge and someone will take care of this problem in about 14 days. All in all, nobody here was interested in anything when it came to camping with a caravan. It was probably different with the chalets, as they had to be sold. We left a week beforehand.

"Easter vacation / Spring vacation - We were back at >in de Bongard< at the end of April 2018. We really enjoyed it again, although this time we didn't have a comfort pitch with a private bathroom on the pitch. We had decided too late for this short vacation. But we also felt very comfortable on a "small" pitch. Of course, the camper van shouldn't have been any longer, but it wasn't. Now we were able to enjoy the sanitary blocks, which are all very clean and well maintained. The restaurant on the campsite still has a lot of room for improvement as far as the service of the staff is concerned. But it was still the beginning of the season and they certainly still have time to learn. - But that wasn't so important to us. All the other staff on the campsite and at reception were always very friendly and approachable. We will be back. We stayed at this campsite for 2 weeks from Easter. The pitch sizes are great and the sanitary facilities are excellent. We had a private bathroom right on our pitch, which made it even more comfortable. The location means you can get to the town quickly and use the shopping facilities there, so there is no lack of a supermarket on the site. However, you can buy bread rolls on site in the morning. The site itself is also very well maintained and the layout of the pitches/mobile homes is well thought out. For families with children, this is probably an ideal site with an indoor pool and playgrounds spread throughout the campsite. WLAN is also available throughout the site. However, the registration/deregistration process is somewhat outdated and not necessarily suitable for cell phones. But doable. It is a good place for dog owners, as there are plenty of walking opportunities outside the campsite. The sea is within easy reach and the surrounding villages and towns are well worth a visit. We were very satisfied and will definitely be back
