"Very unpleasant experience due to treatment and huge list of rules at campsite - The reception was extremely unfriendly, almost hostile (especially the owner and two of the employees treated us this way). We got the feeling that by the grace of God we were allowed to pitch on an almost empty camping field and were immediately given a sheet of paper with camping regulations in our hands. Instead of a spot for two small tents of 2m x 1m we were charged for two spots for large tents, we heard later from a friendly employee. A refund of money paid in excess was not possible. We first booked for one night. I was told that I had to stop by the reception before 11 a.m. the next morning if I wanted to rebook. When I had decided to do so and was there in time to rebook and pay, I was told that I could come in the afternoon from 2pm and no later than 7pm, at this point it was absolutely impossible. Not very nice when you are going out all day, or rather want to go out. I could not get a reason for this from the employee. The next day I wanted to rebook again (since there was no other campsite nearby, otherwise we would definitely have left immediately): same story; only come back in the afternoon after 2 p.m. to rebook and pay. Again, no reason was given. Later another, more talkative, employee told me that new bookings, including additional bookings, could only be accepted from 2 p.m. onwards. Bizarre! I did not like the price-quality ratio, also considering the fact that on top of the high tent- and step price I also had to pay for internet and had to come and get a new login code every 24 hours, and pay of course. I found the place where you can eat something very unsociable, in terms of decoration, and while eating you had a view on the entrance of a toilet building whose doors were wide open. Anyway, the campsite has no atmosphere at all.

Profiilini

The campsite Illertissen is located in a quiet area at the foot of the Iller Canal. Surrounded by trees and meadows, terraced and barrier-free. The three-hectare complex is open from April to October and offers about 150 parking spaces. In …addition, 5 caravans with awning can be rented. In the wheelchair-accessible sanitary building, among other things, two single washing cubicles and a baby changing room are housed. In addition, campers can use a kitchen with electric hob and a laundry room with washer and dryer. As far as the catering of the campers is concerned, there is a small kiosk serving fresh bread every day and a restaurant. Furthermore, a small swimming pool and a children's playground are part of the equipment of the course. In the vicinity there is the opportunity to go horseback riding and play mini golf or tennis. The Legoland Günzburg can be reached from Illertissen in about an hour's drive.
