"Short trip at the end of October - Due to the late travel time, the pitches were unfortunately very shady. Either no sun or max. 3.5 hours of sun. The location is probably great in summer. Beautiful view towards Merano. Sanitary always clean Staff very friendly and helpful.

"Camping in the middle of Tyrol! - We found the organization at the campsite to be excellent. The hotel is upstream, registration, payment and all processes run via the reception. This means that someone is always available. The hotel infrastructure with pools, restaurants and bars can be used. A bread roll service is available directly from reception. The campsite is in an excellent location in the middle of a small plateau. The Merano 2000 gondola station is just a 2-minute walk away and takes you up to an altitude of over 2000 meters. There are also several hiking tours within easy reach. An excellent vacation.

"Disappointed - One third of our pitch consisted of metal lids, underneath were some kind of water containers (for which we paid €75 per day!!!) Modern wash house was run down, probably no investment here. Location was not ideal for us, no cycle paths down to Merano (cycle back up 300 meters in altitude).

"Never again - Another hotel that tries to do a bit of camping (although many hotels also do this very well) This has nothing to do with camping. 3 terraces laid out like a parking lot simply for large cars. No idea who likes that. We got a maxi pitch for 70! Euro a night excl. fees and electricity. No problem if the infrastructure was also 70 euros. The sanitary facilities reminded me of the shelters in our community. Instead of building useless sloping walls, it would have been better to make them straight with windows. All the wet rooms are a hole. Dark and very outdated. As the toilet and showers are still in the same room and there are no windows, the odor emissions were really bad. Anyone who advertises modern sanitary facilities on their website should at least have clean ones that people like to use. A place for 30 euros but certainly not for 70 euros. The site is right on the main road at the end of the 50km zone. Everyone pulls up their vehicle there. We were with our bus for about 3 hours during the day and the night. It was annoyingly loud the whole time. Quiet location my ass. The pools are quite small. Hopefully the weather won't be as good as ours. It quickly gets uncomfortable if everyone wants to swim. One of them is a paddling pool only about 30 cm deep. Wellness can also be booked. We heard from other guests that it is good. We had booked 3 nights and left after one. We had communicated honestly why we wanted to leave. It was then finished quite quickly with very friendly...

"Unfortunately disappointing! - We have been there several times and were very disappointed this time. For example, I had asked for us to be seated in a certain row. This was apparently not possible, but I then realized that some of these seats were not occupied at all. On the second day, others came and walked around with the plan and chose a seat. I can't recommend this place to anyone.

Camping Hermitage is located in an especially peaceful and idyllic setting, surrounded by fragrant orchards, just above Merano in the elegant district of Maia Alta. The city center is only 3 km away, and you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic …view of Merano and its surroundings. A bus stop is located directly in front of the campsite. We are a small, family-run campsite offering modern facilities and a well-maintained atmosphere. If desired, you can also rent your own private bathroom. From mid-May to mid-September, two small outdoor pools and a rooftop relaxation area at the adjacent Hotel Prinz Rudolf are available to our guests free of charge. Additionally, guests aged 16 and over can access the exclusive wellness area – which includes two saunas, a heated infinity pool, and various relaxation zones – by reservation and for a fee. Culinary delights await you in our restaurant or pizzeria, where we serve carefully prepared cuisine. Our terraced pitches are partially equipped with cable TV connection (satellite channels), Wi-Fi, drinking water supply, wastewater disposal, and electricity (2.3/3 kW, 10/15 amps). Fresh bread, milk, and other basic groceries are available daily. The entire campsite is barrier-free and accessible to guests with disabilities. Camping Hermitage is ideal for hikers, families, and anyone looking for an active yet relaxing holiday in South Tyrol. Numerous hiking and cycling trails start directly from the campsite. The Botanical Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle are just 1 km away, and the valley station of the Merano 2000 cable car is only 400 m away.
