Short breaks on Akkerleven
We (in our early 50s with a dog) have already spent two long weekends at Mini Camping Akkerleven in Zonnemaire this year. The owners, Yvonne and Bart, are very warm, friendly, always in a good mood and try to make their guests as comfortable as possible. Children and dogs are very welcome here (playground... and petting zoo available). The sanitary facilities are always very clean and still quite new, showers with coin-operated machines. Price-performance ratio = TOP! If you love peace and nature, this is the place for you, surrounded by fields on the edge of Zonnemaire. We are planning another 3-4 day stay this year from August to October. We already feel a bit at home at Mini Camping Akkerleven and can only recommend it!

Small and fine mini campsite....We liked it very much
Camping Akkerleven is, as the name suggests, a small site in the middle of the fields on the outskirts of Zonnemaire. It belongs to a family-run farm. If you are looking for peace and quiet and don't need any entertainment, you will receive a very friendly welcome here. We stayed here for a few days... over Whitsun and felt very comfortable. You shouldn't expect the comfort of the large campsites, but there are plenty of play facilities for children. There's play equipment, a soccer pitch, Kettcars and a small petting zoo. Our 13-year-old son enjoyed himself, although there wasn't much on offer for him. We would particularly like to emphasize the cleanliness of the sanitary facilities. There were 2 showers and 5 toilets which were always well maintained. The whole mini campsite looks very well maintained and everything is kept in good condition. The pitches are spacious and our large caravan had plenty of room. Dogs are allowed but should be kept on a lead. We can also provide some information about the surrounding area. We saw 2-3 small restaurants in Zonnemaire. The next town, Brouwershaven, offers a little more around the beautiful little harbor. The next larger town, Zierikzee, is about 10 km away. There are also two large discount stores there. The town itself is also worth a visit. There is a lot of culture and if you fancy shopping, you will also get your money's worth here. We think you can go on some nice bike tours in this area. However, a car is absolutely essential here, as you have to drive quite a distance to the sandy beach and shops. We would love to come back again when the noise of everyday life makes us feel the need for peace and quiet.
