The campsites are fine, too—though at the S sites, it’s a long walk from the RV to get water.
You can also wash dishes, but unfortunately there’s a fee. The sinks are huge—if you don’t bring your own extra container, 10 liters of water is... barely noticeable in the sink.
The restrooms are very well-maintained, modern, and always clean.
So we can definitely recommend this campground.

We loved the view of the lake and the activities at the campground and around the lake.
We both really, really enjoyed it—kudos to the friendly staff and the cleanliness of the campground.
This won’t be our last visit, but next time we’ll stay even longer.

- JPJulia P.August 2026A beautiful spot by the lake with a lot of long-term campersThe new area on the beach, the playground, and the new restroom building are really nice and clean, too. The restroom building near the reception desk by the G-sites needs to be renovated as soon as possible.
Also, there are lots of spots that are littered with trash. What’s with all those blue bins?...
Many long-term campers don’t maintain their sites, and it looks very overgrown.
There’s still a lot of work to be done!
Overall, it’s really nice here!

The restrooms are clean and tidy, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the overall atmosphere is neat and orderly yet cozy.
For anglers, a break from work or family could be made even more enjoyable. Perhaps... a longer dock, separated from the swimming area, that extends beyond the weed line and allows for a cozy fishing spot.
For shore anglers, the lake is difficult to fish, especially when considering the swimmers and private shoreline boundaries.
The boat service is good.
Otherwise, there’s nothing to complain about.

We were once again very satisfied with the team, the service, and the friendliness.
The service in the library was also very good.
However, as described in the email, the food was very poor.... The meat wasn’t cooked through, the schnitzel was too dark, the vegetables were mushy, and the fries had been in the fryer far too long.
And during our stay, we learned that we weren’t the only ones who felt that way.
Unfortunately, this is a major shortcoming.

The lake is perfect for swimming and stand-up paddleboarding. We tried to address our concerns, and they were resolved. The old washhouse is really very old, but the new one is all the more beautiful. It... would be nice to remove more cobwebs from the shower ceilings; otherwise, everything was clean. The grounds were well-maintained, the newly built restroom facilities were great and clean—there’s even a dog shower 😀👍—and the staff was very friendly. The location on Lake Bergwitz is unique, and the water is clean and crystal-clear, with an abundance of fish.

The beach area is especially great, with volleyball, a playground, and a snack bar. The new Sanitary Building 3 there is also fantastic.
However, we were staying near Sanitary Building 1, where the premium campsites are located. This building is in terrible condition. It would be nice if the cleaning of Sanitary Building IV were a little better. In my opinion, unfortunately, the cleaning is too superficial and, compared to Sanitary Building III (the new building),... significantly worse. Sure, experienced campers can deal with it, but this is my—and our—opinion, and the operators should be aware of it. The campground’s location is very nice. You can go on some really beautiful bike rides, whether to Wittenberg, FERROPOLIS, or wherever else. In Bergwitz, there’s a relatively new NETTO supermarket with a very decent bakery. (a five-minute bike ride away)
In conclusion, I have to say it was a wonderful vacation—right on the lake, surrounded by nature, and in a beautiful area. We’ll definitely be coming back to visit you in the coming years and will certainly recommend this campground.
