Recommendation
Idyllic vacation homes on the water with a great view, living areas very clean,
Comfortable furnishings and appropriate for the price, a paradise for our dog (fenced outdoor area)
Room for improvement:
Boat dock often occupied by foreign anglers (despite prohibition sign), no WLan (good that our teen stayed at home), previously negotiated CheckInn special time not kept.
But we would love to come back!

A place that leaves nothing to be desired
We were on the site in mid-April. Everything was great...very good pitch, main sanitary building in very good condition, everything well maintained and clean.
Price performance is right here, many activities nearby

Nature and relaxation
Beautiful nature campsite that is very well maintained, nice and helpful staff, very clean wash houses.

Easy self-service check-in and check-out. Nice view of the lake.

The amenities are basic.
Perfect for a quick overnight
We used the Wohnmobilstellplätze for a stop over on our way south from Berlin. The self-service machines and bathrooms worked well for us. I did have some confusion when checking in regarding paying for electricity, and so ended up not doing so.

The site is simply beautiful and the sanitary building is absolutely great.

Of course, there are always one or two little things that you don't like, but the overall impression is consistently positive.
Again and again with pleasure
Our children always had something to discover. The site is wonderfully spacious and the lake is a dream. Our pitch was wonderfully located under trees and surprisingly quiet despite the proximity to the barrier and the sanitary building. The food was delicious (but you should make a reservation).
The... beach is quite crowded when the weather is nice (which is to be expected), but you can always find a little spot.
The playground is absolutely great for children aged 3-4 and the nearby (new) sanitary building is second to none. We would love to come back!

Our pitch was in the year-round area, which provided us with shade from the old trees. The site has its own sandy beach. You can also take advantage of the bread roll service and a restaurant.
Negativa
There is a rather old, outdated sanitary building, which is located in the year-round area. But if you don't like this, you can also use the very modern sanitary building about 200m further on. The arrival zone in front of the campsite is very narrow and at peak times you don't know where to stop.
Very nice campsite
Very nice campsite. Our pitch was in the year-round area, which provided us with shade from the old trees. We came with our dog. The pitches are large enough for a caravan + awning and car.
The site has its own sandy beach.
You can also take advantage of the bread roll service and a restaurant.
There... is a rather old, outdated sanitary building, which is located in the year-round area.
But if you don't like it, you can also use the very modern sanitary building about 200m further on.
The arrival area in front of the campsite is very narrow and at peak times you don't know where to stop.

Location at the lake / location to excursion possibilities

Very cramped entrance and exit area. In summer, access to the peninsula via the beach. Permanent camping area very neglected in places.
Beautiful Lake Resort no
We chose the site because of its central location for excursions (Wittenberg/Wörlitzer Park/Ferropolis). We were placed on the HI. As the vacations had already started it was of course quite full. The arrival and departure of the HI via the beach is unfavorable. You have to be very careful with children,... cyclists, children's toys, balls, etc.
The sanitary building on the beach is new (built or renovated). The building on the HI was fine.
I find it outrageous that the washing up also has to be paid for from the rechargeable (shower) card.
The location on the lake is very nice. Bike paths from the campsite directly available. Shopping facilities in the village. Bread roll service works perfectly. The area for permanent campers is partly neglected and does not make a good impression. Perhaps something can be improved in the future.

The access road to the campsite is actually a bit bumpy, but that has nothing to do with the view of the site.
So there are no complaints.
It's a beautiful spot by the lake and in the countryside.

Beautiful quiet place by the lake
A nice and quiet place right on the lake. The access is a bit bumpy via an old village road with cobblestones. The site is visually very attractive with large trees and beautiful pitches. The sanitary facilities could do with an update.

We found the peace and quiet on the lake the most beautiful the first time until some people spread out so much that we no longer had a great view ... but the second time we had the island all to ourselves. And friendly staff wherever possible, even after the terrible storm where our entire awning was under water, we were helped. That we could get out of the water.
Negativa
I am totally satisfied okay the old cobblestones in the village... could be a bit freshened up but no matter if you drive slowly you will arrive at your destination. I will gladly come back when we are in the area again.

I have nothing to criticize, everything is already written above.

I would love to come back.

The partly neglected permanent campsites, the old sanitary facilities
They simply make too little of their great potential
The campsite is in a very idyllic location directly on the lake. The pitches are a little uneven and poorly demarcated. But you can live with that.

The area for the temporary stay is ok and you can see the efforts of the operators to modernize the facility.

Now to the disadvantages.
As soon as you... get to the permanent pitches, the whole thing looks like a garbage dump. The restaurant, the utility buildings, water taps, etc. are completely outdated and certainly not up to scratch in terms of hygiene.

The worst thing is the permanent tenants (campers can't be that). The dwellings are often completely overgrown, sometimes moldy and totally run-down. There is also a lot of junk and garbage lying around that could be dangerous for children. This is not acceptable. This is not a resort but a rest place!

I spoke to the operator about this. They are aware of the problem and are trying to solve it over time.

However, this should happen more quickly, as the site really has great potential in an up-and-coming region with a great landscape and lots of leisure activities.

Wonderfully situated
A very nice campsite. The pitches have a pleasant surface, so it's no problem to hammer pegs into the ground. There is plenty of shade for hot summer days. The lake is beautiful, crystal clear and there are many small bathing bays on a circular walk. There is a lovely beach right next to the campsite... with a sunbathing area and jetty for jumping. The sanitary facilities were perfectly adequate for our needs and were also clean. The surrounding area offers plenty of variety for nature and culture lovers.

Beautiful lake, wonderfully quiet
Camping in the middle of nature
A beautiful, idyllic and clean lake. The campsite itself is very simple. The pitches are not really demarcated, but you have peace and quiet. Under no circumstances should you forget to bring mosquito repellent, which is normal on a lake. The sanitary facilities are unfortunately without a preparation... room, but this is not a problem for a few days' stay. What we really can't recommend is the food at the beach snack bar. We have rarely eaten such "disgusting" fast food, which wasn't even cheap. At the reception you can get fresh organic cucumbers and tomatoes in season for a normal price. The staff were super nice. All in all, we would possibly come back for a short trip.

Dog allowed and paid for

Dog igendwie unwanted, were expelled from the beach at 30 degrees. Dog was 12 years old and slept in the shade.
Dogs are actually unwanted guests
With dog and child not combinable, because the dog is allowed and must be paid but he is not allowed anywhere, beach, playground etc.. No extra dog beach. Even with the permanent campers you realize that dogs are unwanted. On the positive side, there are dog bags at the reception, but only for your own safety ;)

Have experienced a great short vacation at Bergwitzsee.staff super nice sanitary facilities very clean (although place was completely full) and everything functional.water in the lake topp and surrounding area very beautiful, very nice for cycling.

Easter vacation
Very chic place with an effort to preserve nature. The staff are very committed and friendly. Children have complete freedom here. Dogs too, unfortunately. All in all, highly recommended!

Well, a little disappointed!
The Bergwitzsee campsite, so highly praised by the media, unfortunately does not deserve this praise in this form! Place very obstructed. Sanitary facilities unhygienic, four of six toilets doors not lockable! Staff at the beach snack bar slightly unfriendly!
