Idyllic location, but sanitary facilities far too small
The campsite is actually a large garden that can be accessed via a narrow driveway from the main road. Nixx for large caravans or mobile homes. The owners allocate a pitch - but you always have to stand across the Altmühl and have your neighbor right in front of your nose. In the afternoon, 40 or more... canoeists sometimes arrive and set up their tents. Then 1 toilet and 1 shower (each for men and women) can get quite cramped, especially in the morning when everyone wants to get going and go to the toilet quickly. There can be quite a queue. Only cold water at one sink (outside on the wall of the toilets). The site is located directly on the Altmühl and away from the road, but the two-track railroad can also be heard well at night. Great for canoeists, there is a fire pit (cart of wood 5.00 EUR) and a roof over a few beer benches for bad weather. If you come with a caravan or mobile and need comfort or some distance from your neighbors, this is definitely the wrong place. Even in September, it often looked like a parking lot. And in between, queues of people wanting to go to the loo....

Nice operator. Directly on the water and cycle path. Very good for tents.
Negatiivsed
You have to be at the bakery very early. Very cramped for motorhomes in high season, but well placed by the operator. Only one shower.
Great place right on the water
Great starting point for hiking, climbing, water hiking and cycling.
