"Beautiful, but shriveled place - We were on the site from 07.8. to 10.8.2020 and found a place that used to be beautiful. Beautiful old trees with many shady places. In the part of the square towards the Weser a lot of sun. The sanitary facilities were outdated but also modern again, rain showers and automatic taps. Overall a place between genius and junk room. Central pitches were blocked with parked tractors, rubber dinghies, straw bale storage in the large tent and old trailers. As a band was playing on Saturday, a makeshift stage with a tarpaulin roof was set up on an old trailer. Everything looked very improvised. The advertised times for using the sanitary facilities were also incomprehensible to us. In the ladies' toilet, the tap of the only washbasin could only be used if it was turned and held so that it could be used in the middle. And this was a hygiene deficiency in times of Corona. We ran out of toilet paper on Sunday and there was still no toilet paper in the men's toilet on Monday. We had a nice pitch on the western meadow where the grass was 20 cm thick and not mowed. Behind the main building there were various "smelting works" and an old lawnmower that had been in repair for some time. The path to our pitch was also paved with puddles after the overnight thunderstorm. Shoes could then be cleaned in the tall grass. With a little more effort and a clear structure, this site could be restored to its former charm and beauty. Rating not comprehensible for us.

"great place - We stayed at the campsite from Friday to today and out of 10 people, 1ß people were thrilled. We were given a great welcome, the rooms were a bit small but still great. The pizza and the service was great and the waitress was just as nice as all the staff. Even the small breakfast was plentiful and good. I don't think this was our last visit

"Simply beautiful - We stayed at the campsite as family tent campers. The site is quietly located on the outskirts of Hemeln directly on the Weser. Everything is just right here, price/performance, food and drink at reasonable prices. Very friendly staff, we felt very comfortable and will definitely be back. Our dog too, of course. Everything was very clean and well-kept and we would absolutely recommend it. Göttingen or Hann Münden can be reached in a short time.

"Small, simple campsite on a busy road - The site is located directly on a main road and not far from another busy thoroughfare. So there can be no question of pure tranquillity. The restaurant only seems to serve pizza. It may be good, but what do you do if you don't like pizza? The bread rolls are not a hit either, presumably prefabricated buns. The site consists of the actual campsite and a simple meadow in front of it. To get from the meadow to the simply equipped sanitary facilities, you have to walk over a well-worn "staircase" made of individually laid and totally displaced paving slabs. This path is also unlit in the dark, so there is a clear risk of accidents. What use are planted paddle boats, for example, if you then break your bones on the "steps"? There is an urgent need for action here! The sanitary facilities are rather basic and certainly no longer meet today's standards. The disabled toilet, for example, is always locked, so you always have to ask for the key or search for it. The reason given by the operators is that "as the use of the shower is free of charge, there is a risk that one or two people will use it to shower for free". Even if everything else is supposedly problem-free and relaxed, the behavior here is very petty in my opinion. Moreover, given the level of fees charged, showers etc. should generally be free of charge. Then the annoying search for 50-cent coins would be a thing of the past. For the reasons mentioned, I think the price-performance ratio is rather unsatisfactory. We probably won't be coming back so soon, if at all. You can expect more for the money and is also offered at other places nearby on the Weser.
