You can really feel the staff’s love for the place. Dennis is always around and there whenever you need him. He knows all his guests and is always up for a chat. I especially love the two bocce courts, where we’ve played the occasional Germany vs. Netherlands match in the evenings.

Sophia G.juuli 20265.0SGSophia G.juuli 2026PositiivsedPeace and quiet, cleanliness, pool, a great team, and the natural surroundings with bike pathsNegatiivsedNIXA true camping gem in the Weserbergland regionIt really should be 10 stars!
We felt right at home at the Weserbergland Campground in Heinsen from the very first moment. Even the warm welcome at the front desk was simply great—you can tell right away that guests are welcome here.
The campground is wonderfully quiet, cozy, and extremely well-maintained.... We were particularly impressed by how clean the restrooms were. No matter what time of day—everything was spotless and exceptionally well-maintained. There’s really nothing at all to complain about.
A huge thank you goes to Dennis! It’s rare to meet someone so helpful, friendly, and dedicated. No matter what question or concern we had—he was always there to help us with a smile. Kudos to him for that!
With the summery temperatures, the pool was simply a dream and the perfect way to cool off. We were also particularly thrilled by the beautiful bike paths right along the Weser River. The scenery is simply gorgeous and invites you to spend hours out on a bike.
For us, it was a place where you can instantly unwind and simply leave everyday life behind. This is exactly how we imagine camping should be. The whole package is just right here—from the friendliness of the staff to the cleanliness and the beautiful location in the heart of nature.
Officially, we can only give five stars—but if it were up to us, it would definitely be 10 out of 10 stars. We’ll definitely be back and can wholeheartedly recommend this campground!Automaatselt tõlgitud.Ükski matkaja pole pidanud seda hinnangut veel kasulikuks. Everything super.NegatiivsedNoneThis makes camping fun, a very nice place, large clean pitchesSuper place in very beautiful nature, directly on the Weser.
Very large pitches on a green lawn and everything well maintained
Operator very friendly.
Pleasantly quiet during the day and at night, no groups are allowed.
Swimming pool is top, WLAN available free of charge, in the reception area.
Shopping... in 2 KM in the NP supermarket in Polle.
Bread roll service available.
So it could hardly be better.
This is how camping should be, without a lot of frills.

- 5.0FGF´rank G.september 20215.0FGF´rank G.september 2021PositiivsedReally beautifully situated campsite on the outskirts of the village of Heinsen. The site looks very well-kept and is really right on the Weser. We were only there for one night, but will definitely be back for a few more days. The sanitary facilities are in top condition. Bread roll service is also great.NegatiivsedNoneBeautiful and quiet campsite directly on the WeserVery well run campsite. There are quite a lot of rules to follow, but this is self-explanatory and doesn't really get in the way.
The operators are competent and helpful.
The seating at the reception invites you to linger.
There is a swimming pool which we did not use due to the weather conditions.
The... bread rolls come fresh from the bakery in the morning and are very tasty.
If you want to be spoiled in the evening, you should go to Stahle (about 7 km by bike) and eat at the Hotel Restaurant Kikenstein. Very fair prices and really delicious.Automaatselt tõlgitud.Ükski matkaja pole pidanud seda hinnangut veel kasulikuks. The campsite is an ideal starting point for exploring, especially as the small passenger ferry in Heinsen is back in operation. Whether you want to head towards Holzminden/Höxter or Bodenwerder, Heinsen is a great... place to start. The site itself is well maintained and all the sanitary facilities are very clean. The pitches are not parceled out, but are really spacious (some with paved terraces!) and in very good condition. The location directly on the Weser is a dream, and the peace and quiet seems to spread to all the guests. We would have liked to stay longer ...... but we will definitely be back.Automaatselt tõlgitud.2 matkajat leidis selle hinnangu olevat abistav.
