RN L.mai 20263.0RN L.mai 2026PositiivsedGood cycle path connection to Kalmar QuietNegatiivsedThe new sanitary building is not so functional! Washbasin only in the WC. Fresh water supply at the sanitary ok. At the supply station bad, because there is only a fixed mounted hose! Directly with the disposal! It looked very unhigenic!Place in the forestA pitch in the "forest" It was quiet.
The supply of fresh water was only okay at the sanitary building. There was only a washbasin in the WC. We would have liked an area with washbasins better! Overall, the site didn't look ready for the season.Automaatselt tõlgitud.Ükski matkaja pole pidanud seda hinnangut veel kasulikuks. Ole esimene! - 4.0
A. K.august 20254.0A. K.august 2025PositiivsedThe location, the new wash house, direct proximity to the city of KalmarNegatiivsedThe smaller wash houses, plenty of shade as they are forestRural, quiet place by the waterWe stopped here for two nights to pass through. Many did so. Between a few permanent campers, many were only here for 1-2 nights and traveled on. We liked the location close to the town of Kalmar. The forest surrounded by water with lots of bathing spots was also great. Everything was within walking... distance. Unfortunately, our wash house number three was very small and getting on in years. We used the newer wash house one field away, which was great. Electricity was directly at the
and the size of the pitch was as indicated. There were two small playgrounds with bouncy cushions and a small store at the front of reception.Automaatselt tõlgitud.Ükski matkaja pole pidanud seda hinnangut veel kasulikuks. The location is partly very shady, sometimes not at all sunny, you should check Google Maps before booking to find out where you want to stand. The pitches were the right size and we couldn't... complain. The site has cooking facilities for tent campers. There is also an area for tents. The wash houses are in a condition ranging from "okay, to all good and inconspicuous". The forest paths are great for walking. Or even swimming. The site offers various places to do this. Kalmar is close by and is a beautiful city.Automaatselt tõlgitud.Ükski matkaja pole pidanud seda hinnangut veel kasulikuks. Ole esimene!
- 4.0GRGabriele R.juuli 20254.0GRGabriele R.juuli 2025PositiivsedGreat location in the forest. Bathing area within walking distance. Minigolf course on site, go-karts for the kids. Very nice staff. Kalmar is a nice little town with a castle. You can easily take the bicycle ferry across to Öland.NegatiivsedSanitary facilities could be cleaned more often. Lots of youth groups having fun, but a bit noisy as a result. We also stood directly opposite the service point for camper vans, which made it a bit more noisy.beautifully situated campsiteVery nice campsite in the forest. Lake with bathing spots nearby. Pitches are slightly staggered. There is an entertainment program for children. The restaurant is closed.

The camping itself is nice and The facilities are OK.
The staff was friendly and helpfull, more about this a little later.
So why a bad note ?
This note is not for the camping itself but for the "FirstCamp" Company.
Let me explain:...
We arrived at 18:30, and the reception was allready closed with a paper on the door saying it closes at 17:00.
That's very early, especially when you think that Kalmar is a big city.
There was another paper on the door saying that you have to call the number +46 77 110 12 00 to get a place after 17:00
As I learned later this number is Firstcamp's callcenter for ALL Firstcamp sites in Sweden.
So I called, for a total of SEVEN times, after choosing the right options with the phone's keyboard, and each time the call ended with a message "We are encountering a problem and your call cannot be completed".
Well...
There was also a paper saying you can make a reservation and pay on FirstCamp's internet site, but only before 16:00...
In this case, once you have made your reservation and paid on this internet site, FirstCamp will send you an SMS, giving you the code to enter in the camping.
LUCKILY (for us), one person from the camping's staff arrived while I was trying to call FirstCamp for my reservation for the seventh time.
I explained her that I wasn't able to reach Firstcamp's callcenter, and finally she gave us a badge permitting us to enter the camping.
Otherwise we would have had to look elsewhere.
The staff explained us that the decision to close the reception of ALL swedish FirstCamp sites at 17:00 has been taken by the company, and that the problem that we encountered on the phone was due to not enough people at FirstCamp's callcenter, especially since all FirstCamp sites close at the same time, causing an increase in calls in the evening.
So shame on you Firstcamp to treat people so casually.
In the future I will take care not going into one of your campingsAutomaatselt tõlgitud.Ükski matkaja pole pidanud seda hinnangut veel kasulikuks. Sanitary house 4 with cooking facilities is new and topNegatiivsedThere is the sanitary house 1 is very outdated and not very clean and the house 3 has a renovation backlog and needs to be cleaned better.Very beautifully situated campsiteThe location of the campsite is great. On a headland surrounded by water. We hardly had any mosquitoes, although we were there at peak mosquito season.
There is also a small supermarket at the reception where you can get bread rolls from 08:00. Also on Sundays. But you sometimes have to wait, as there... are only ever a few rolls on offer.
You can organize great tours from there. We went to an elk park 35 km away which was really great. Glassblowing is also close to the moose park. There is a James Bond Museum on the way.
From the campsite you can reach the city center, marina, cathedral or castle by bike along a great cycle path, 2 km away. Sanitary block 1 is very old and not very clean. Sanitary block 3 needs to be cleaned better and has too few toilets. Sanitary block 4 is great and very new.
The dog beach is the opposite of the bathing beach. Small but you can manage there. You can take a circular route around the campsite or go hiking. It ranges from 3.5 km to 5 km or 6.5 km. There is a climbing forest at the campsite.Automaatselt tõlgitud.Ükski matkaja pole pidanud seda hinnangut veel kasulikuks. Unfortunately, this does not apply to the CP in Kalmar. The location is basically not bad, very quiet, the town is easy to reach. BUT: the sanitary facilities are not only old, but unkempt and even dirty. The organization on the CP is chaotic, the SP is sometimes... very small. We didn't find the staff unfriendly, but not very professional either. For 1 night to see Kalmar, the CP is ok, but not for more. It is then better to drive the 6 km over the bridge and use one of the many sites on Öland.Automaatselt tõlgitud.1 matkaja leidis selle hinnangu olevat abistav.
