Everything a bit thrown together. It works, but the taste is different.
Beautiful place right on the lake
Directly on the lake, shady meadow.
Noise from the nearby main road at night, unfortunately.
At least there is a lounge. The seating is comfortable, but stylistically there is room for improvement.

For 1st night ok, but nothing more...
The tent meadow is generally very nice and if you check in early enough, you have a pitch right by the lake. However, the site is correspondingly full on a nice weekend.
There are a few nice pitches for camper vans/camper buses. However, all the other pitches are very narrow and there is hardly any space....
We were surprised by the unfriendliness of the staff. When registering (we came with our bikes and tents) I was asked in an unfriendly manner: "What do you want from me? You're not even here with a tent".
When I then told them that we had made a reservation and that my tent was mounted on the back of the bike, nothing came back......
The modest store has completely exorbitant prices. It's normal and understandable that it's a bit more expensive than in the supermarket. But not such exorbitant prices as this store.
Card payments (EC and credit cards) are generally not possible. However, there is an ATM on site.

- Non-parceled pitches - Swimming in the lake - Barbecue areas directly on the lake - approx. 1.5 km on foot to the shopping facilities in Walenstadt - ideal for bike tours towards Weesen at the other end of Lake Walen or towards Flums, Mels/Sargans, Bad Ragaz or Vaduz (L) - Many hiking possibilities in the Flumserberge or with the Palfriesbahn in the direction of Alvier. - By boat from Walenstadt across Lake Walen - Stand-up paddling, rowing, kayaking etc

As with many Swiss campsites, the ratio between permanent campsites and tourist sites is 2:1 rather 3:1. The sanitary facilities are a bit outdated, but clean, hot water for showering, for washing up you have to pay 20 centimes with an ancient meter.
Beautiful campsite right at the upper end of Lake Walen
The campsite is located directly on the "upper" shore of Lake Walen, right where the Seez flows into the Walensee. In summer. It has relatively few caravan pitches. A little more for motorhomes, but they are not allowed directly on the lake. The site is quiet, although the main road and the SBB line are directly above it. The site and the sanitary facilities are clean. We really liked it there.
