Disappointment
Sanitary facilities worn out supply & disposal insufficient for the condition much too expensive.dogs tolerated but 3€ as expensive as 1 child not recommended!!!

Idyllic location with ancient sanitary facilities
First the positive: very friendly and nice operators. The wife and daughter try to make the best of the run-down place. There are bread rolls to order, coffee, drinks and always a friendly smile. There is a barbecue hut and a large party tent for guests with tents. The adjoining pony farm with rabbits,... goats, donkeys and of course ponies is a little paradise for children. But now for the downside: the sanitary facilities are ancient and the boss of the family refuses to invest even a little. The shower cubicles are covered, but when you get out of the shower you are out in the open. In Spain or southern Italy that might just about work, but not in Rüdesheim. A wooden bench serves as a clothes rack. Opposite 2 washbasins where the drain is in front of a shaft. If you are not careful, the waste water flows over your feet. To the right of it overflowing garbage cans. Only the owner knows why they are in the sanitary facilities. Chemical toilets should be disposed of in the normal toilets. All in all, a lot of room for improvement. I can't understand why this site is rated with half an H = hygiene standard by the DCC. 3 stars for this site is too high. With all goodwill 1-2 stars.

Beautiful location, great opportunity for pony rides for kids and for walks in the woods or just for a relaxing weekend.

Catastrophic plumbing from around 1940.
Very nice pony farm in a fantastic location
Paid for in advance on arrival, I was able to choose almost any spot on the entire meadow. Very beautiful in autumn because of the many colors of the surrounding forest. So first the negative things: You could do more with the catering, actually there is only coffee and cake. The meadow has enough power... connections but only 1 water tap and no waste water (!). Even chemical toilet should be tipped into the toilet, there is no chemical toilet disposal (!) The sanitary facilities are from 1940, covered with plexiglass practically in the open. However, you are offered the opportunity to shower in a guest room, which was not necessary for us due to a full shower in the caravan. Next to the meadow are several "stored" caravans and mobile homes. These are not visually separated. Not a nice sight. Now the positive things: Very nice operators, very nice pony farm with a 2KM long fenced circular path that parents can walk with their children (8€). Great surroundings, also excursions to the Rheingau and to Rüdesheim very close. There are good bread rolls to order in advance. We will definitely be back.

Very old and unkempt sanitary facilities, unheated, far away. Outdoor sink not covered. Lots of day trippers at the weekend.
There is still plenty of room for improvement
Nice owners. Unfortunately very low standard. Ponies are tied up for a long time, hooves poorly maintained.

Hello everyone, the Ponyland site is in a quiet location with plenty of space. If you have children who like to help out with the ponies, this is the place for you. There is also a farmyard atmosphere here (chickens, cats). Free pitches on the meadow round off the natural camping site. Rüdesheim is approx.... 4 km away, free parking spaces are available in Rüdesheim. Sufficient connections for electricity available on the site. Water taps rather few. Bread rolls can be ordered the day before, there is also the possibility to have breakfast at the farm. (by arrangement) In the season, the kitchen serves small dishes all day. The sanitary facilities are located in the courtyard and are old but well maintained. Showers are free of charge and hot water comes quickly from the tap. During my visit, the site was not very busy, so encounters with other people in the sanitary facilities were very rare. At night it is better to bring a flashlight, the site lighting was not active during my visit. If you camp for a week, you get a free carriage ride as a bonus. Best regards Fritz

Beautifully situated site. Pitches not parceled out on a large, level tree-lined meadow. Shady and sunny pitches. Plenty of space. Electricity easily accessible everywhere. Water supply only in a few places on the meadow, very long way to sanitary facilities. Sanitary very old but clean. Some showers... outdoors. Very quiet at night. Close to nature. On summer weekends it's a bit busy because of pony rides and helicopter tours. Caf'é. Only opportunity to eat hot food on Sundays. No shopping facilities. Place lives from the idealism of the owner. Lovingly cared for. Youth campsite integrated.
