Mareike P.juuli 2026PositiivsedModern and clean restroom facilities (showers cost extra) Direct access to a beautiful, clean, and DLRG-supervised sandy beach Bakery, small grocery store, ice cream shop, snack bar, and restaurant with reasonable prices The train station is a 10-minute bike ride away (to Karlshof or Rostock, for example) The town center is about a 15-minute bike ride away. There you’ll find a medium-sized Edeka, a Penny, and a bakery.NegatiivsedNo designated sites; spots are assigned upon arrival (we saw a few disappointed faces here and there) Most sites are in the woods and get little to no sun. At 30 degrees, this was very pleasant—even during heavy rain—but we often found it too cold in the shade to sit outside for long (18 degrees). The operator can’t change that, but it’s something you should be aware of. After assigning us a spot, the nice gentleman was in a rush and left right away. Since he had to open the box to connect the power, we had to “catch” him again and ask him to do it. It took about 45 minutes, due to the rush and only two staff members. We set up quickly and wanted to head to the beach, so this annoyed us a little. But it’s vacation—so no stress! Since electricity is included anyway, here’s a suggestion: make the boxes freely accessible.We really liked it. RecommendationAll in all, a great place if you like camping in the woods without designated sites. Excellent facilities. It was an outstanding claim of just €26.20. Instead of looking for an uncomplicated solution, a law firm was called in.
Due to the costs for the lawyer and the registration information, the amount has now risen to... almost €80. I find this procedure extremely disproportionate and not very hospitable. Even though everything may be legally correct, I would have preferred a more humane approach with such a small amount. There is really nothing missing at the campsite.
The beach is made like new every morning (which is certainly not always easy with the many holes and castles that are... always being built).
In a nutshell: EVERYTHING was really great and special praise goes to the cleaning staff, who certainly get to see a lot.

The number of these old trees is rare and it is not a matter of course to be allowed to live there. But 5 euros for parking should always be enough, no, it got 20 percent more expensive again! And the current visitor's... tax is also no longer a celebration. The bungalow prices have multiplied compared to previous years for the same service. Camping will now only be for the rich. What about the normal families who have made the site successful since the fall of the Berlin Wall? They are being punished today because it is no longer affordable! GREED eats BRAINS! And one blames it on the other. The landlord wants more, the municipality always wants more. Of course, the almost constantly beautiful, sunny weather contributed to this, but the site itself also impressed us with its location right by the sea, without a fence. A lot has happened on the site in recent years,... for example a large and modern sanitary and kitchen building has been built. We used one of the private bathrooms again because it is simply practical for just under two weeks.
The restaurant on site is highly recommended, the menu is small but there is something for everyone and it tastes excellent.
There is a small supermarket with a wide range of fresh bread rolls.
Graal Müritz is a small, tranquil seaside resort with supermarkets, restaurants, a petrol station and much more. You can let the wind blow around your ears on the pier.
A few kilometers, about 20 minutes by car, you are at the ferry across the Warnow in Warnemünde. There is a small harbor for cruise ships here, an impressive spectacle when these giants arrive or depart.
Another recommended excursion destination is Karl's strawberry farm in Rövershagen, the city of Rostock, Rostock Zoo or the Ozeaneum in Stralsund.
