The environment is stunning.
Location, location, location!
What a fantastic campsite. At the end of the valley (20km south of Olden) the drive is challenging at times but it's definitely worth it. Located between the glacier and the waterfall it is not absolutely silent - but spectacular. Walk up to the glacier lake and enjoy the sauna upon return - it's included in the not-too-expensive camping fee.

Lovingly designed campsite in beautiful natural surroundings
We spent 3 weeks in Norway in the summer and looking back we can say that Melkevoll Bretun was by far the most beautiful campsite. Beautifully done with great attention to detail, e.g. yoga room built around a rock, communal hut with fireplace, free use of sauna every evening with glacier stream, boulder... rocks directly on the site. And all this in the midst of the most beautiful nature with a view of the glacier and waterfall - what a place to be!

Rest gently
Our pitch was near a beautiful waterfall. You can hear the sound of the water everywhere on the campsite. The sanitary facilities were very well maintained. The site was spacious. Good starting point for a hike to the Briksdalsbreen.

Super campsite !
A very nice campsite that is well worth the money! Beautiful location where you can both relax and hike. Lots of nature. Very clean sanitary facilities and a very well-kept campsite. In the evening you can also use the sauna on request. You can order bread and rolls in advance and you can buy a small amount of groceries at the reception. The Briksdalbreen is about 45 minutes' walk away.
