We specifically chose Frutigresort because of its extensive facilities for children and were willing to pay the corresponding price for them.
Unfortunately, we found out just before our stay... that the outdoor pool was closed. Upon arrival, we also found that the advertised inflatable water slides were not available. The indoor pool was not a viable alternative for my 8-year-old son, since children under 10 are only allowed inside when accompanied by an adult.
Frutigresort later indicated that this rule is listed on the external sports center’s website. However, I believe that such an important restriction on a facility that a campground uses to market itself to families should also be clearly communicated by the campground itself in advance. If I had known this beforehand, I could have factored it into my decision.
As a result, we drove to another pool several times. The extra fuel and parking costs alone amounted to over CHF 100, not to mention the travel time and the loss of the freedom to, for example, just go for a quick swim in the morning or after dinner.
After my complaint, Frutigresort ultimately offered a 5% discount and a free round of mini-golf. Given the unavailability or limited availability of several facilities, our additional costs, and the fact that mini-golf on our last day of vacation wasn’t a viable alternative for us, I didn’t consider that an appropriate compensation.
I then politely and thoroughly asked if they would reconsider their offer. Even after two weeks, I have not received a response.
That last point is perhaps what I find most disappointing. Things can always go wrong during a stay, but for me, it’s especially the way a serious complaint is handled afterward that makes all the difference.

The location of the campsite is excellent - ideal for hikers and cyclists. The surrounding mountain region offers numerous tour options in a beautiful natural setting.
A particular highlight of the campsite is that both the... indoor and outdoor pools are included in the price. This is a big plus point, especially in changeable weather, and is ideal for families with children or for relaxing after active days outdoors.
The sanitary facilities are modern and clean, but not barrier-free, which can be a restriction for guests with limited mobility. An improvement would be desirable here to make the campsite even more inclusive.
Overall, the Frutigresort offers a great combination of nature experience, leisure activities and comfort - a highly recommended place for active vacationers.

We've been on this site since 2019. The infrastructure is getting better and better. The prices too. CHF45 excl. electricity in the low... season for 2 adults on a standard pitch per night is too high. The sanitary facilities are still in a civil defense facility.
