This open layout offers plenty of space and a relaxed atmosphere, especially for guests who appreciate uncomplicated, nature-loving camping.
The facilities are kept simple overall. Hot water... is only available by inserting a coin - an outdated system that no longer meets the standards of many campsites today. WLAN is not offered and there is no drinking water connection directly at the pitch.
A clear point of criticism was the bread roll service: on the website, it is advertised for Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays - but it was not actually offered on Fridays or public holidays. This discrepancy is annoying for guests, especially as they rely on it in advance. Transparent communication or a clear indication on site would have been the least we could have done here.
Communication could also be improved in other respects. Important information, such as the codes for the sanitary facilities, was not communicated automatically and had to be requested first. The coordination between the campsite operator and the catering staff seemed disorganized and poorly coordinated.
The sanitary facilities were basically functional, but were not well maintained. There is a clear need for action here. The small petting zoo deserves a positive mention - the animals made a good impression and offered added value, especially for children. The playground is okay, but largely without shade, which can be a problem in warm weather.
Conclusion: If you want to camp close to nature without any great pretensions, you can find a quiet spot here. However, if you are looking for reliable service, clean sanitary facilities and an offer that matches the online presence, you will be disappointed. The price-performance ratio is currently on the borderline. Much more would be possible with more commitment and better organization.Automaatselt tõlgitud.

It was confirmed by a third person in the presence of the groundskeeper that this person had witnessed a similar incident. According to telephone information, the employee in question was probably given a warning and that was it... He is still allowed to work with the animals. In the senior boss's own words: "He apologized. Sorry, I can't accept that. If that's the way they do business: the animals were mistreated, but the employee apologized... Datteln is easy to reach by bike. Cycle paths are also in the immediate vicinity. It was quiet at night, with campers only leaving at 6am. There is no barrier, so you can apparently drive in whenever you want.
Otherwise, the groundsman was very friendly, we were able to welcome friends without any problems and at no extra charge, and everything was very relaxed when we left. Large lawns with free choice of pitches. The playground is fine and the animals, donkeys and goats, are an attraction for children, you can stroke them.
We ordered fries, currywurst and meatballs in the restaurant, which was very tasty and reasonably priced.
Bread roll... service was also recommended.
Negative to mention are the 2€ for 6 min shower, even for hot water in the dishwashing house are min 40 cents due.
Electricity costs 5€ per day.
