"Excellent quiet location bombastic view - I was there 3 times in the 2 weeks vacation price performance is great. The staff super friendly. Nice small and cozy direktckt on the cathedral lake of Ratzeburg. To do big shopping you have to drive about 20 minutes through the forest at Bäk and on the water by bike, by car about 20 minutes ebndfalls through Bäk. The bathroom was very clean. The place is with lawn as well as with plates. Electricity is also available everywhere. If the weather is not suitable for swimming, you can also fish there or you can rent a boat and go to the Domsee or Ratzeburge See. The water there is clean and the bathing area for dogs is a little out of the way, but we also went swimming there. The view of Ratzeburg Cathedral is also very good. I have lived in Ratzeburg for many years and didn't know that there were such beautiful places now that I have seen this, I will enjoy the view more often and visit this place with the camper.

"Great place - To be honest, the entire facility and the colorful camping experience on the meadow are truly exceptional. But let's be clear: the standard of a 4-season hotel? No, thank you! After all, we're here to camp, aren't we, fellow campers? Regardless of whether you arrive with a tent, camper or motorhome - the unparceled space for tourists is simply great. There are also shady spots if the sun is beating down again. And the sanitary facilities? Yes, there are, and during our stay they were absolutely clean and in good condition. And hey, you can order bread rolls in advance at reception, where the friendly staff are always on hand. What more could you ask for? Satellite reception at every pitch (even under trees!) and lightning-fast Wi-Fi with an incredible 1000 MBit/s perhaps? Oh, and those wonderfully straight pitches that prevent you from dragging a blade of grass into your 7-star motorhome? Hmmm... what else makes camping so special? Perhaps the opportunity to be in nature? Away from the stress of everyday life? Reading a good book or chatting with others instead of staring at a screen? And the journey there as a little adventure? Well, a real sense of adventure doesn't really come with cobblestones and sandy paths, does it? But maybe that will keep the eternal whingers away. Okay, enough complaining about some people's exaggerated ideas. For everyone else, this site is definitely a clear recommendation. This campsite combines exactly what you are looking for when camping: functional facilities, cleanliness and relaxation. No excessive luxury, but honest comfort and genuine friendliness in a fantastic setting for those who want to camp! If you want to wake up by the lake in the morning, go for a paddle and sit around the barbecue in the evening while you unwind - this is the place for you and you'll be happy to come back!

"First and last attempt to get a parking space - I can't say anything about it because we didn't go to the campsite because we were really pissed off 😡😡

"A place with many downsides - Tourist pitches on some meadow areas with extremely high, unkempt trees and shrubs. Lake view and SAT reception impossible or severely restricted. Part of the site with permanent campers where the first row is barred from access to the water by fences and prohibition signs. The only thing missing are the automatic firing systems from the former nearby GDR border, Outdated sanitary facilities. Supply and disposal for campers / caravans behind the house are unreasonable and disgusting next to the dishwashers. Incorrect cables and sockets on the ground. Baked bread rolls are available in the morning from 8-9 am. Nothing else. The location is great, but everything else is not worth €29 a day.

"Beautifully situated natural campsite - The site is very quiet and certainly interesting for water sports enthusiasts. Not particularly suitable for motorhomes and cyclists. The cycle paths around the Ratzeburger See are quite demanding and not for the normal touring cyclist. Only 3 points were awarded for the catering, as there is only a bread roll service and more would also disturb the character of this place.

The Campsite The Campsite Schwalkenberg is situated away from the hussle of the daily traffic, in the attractive countryside on the Eastbanks of the Ratzeburg Lake. With a unique view of the Cathederal you are assured of a relaxing and …restful visit. The wonderful countryside invites you to go by bike, or wander along the banks of the Ratzeburg Lake, alternatively you can go sailing, and Courses (for Groups ) can also be arranged if required. Enjoy sightseeing in the nearby cities of Hamburg, Lübeck (Luebeck) or Travemünde (Travemuende) direct on the Baltic Sea, or visit the wonderful historic Castle in Schwerin. To bring the day to an end enjoy a bar-be-que or an evening at the Campfire. Domestic Pets are also welcome on the Camping Site. You will find the Campingsite spaces for Tents and Caravans/Mobile homes on a sunny dry meadow, under the shaddow of the Beech Trees. Facilites for slipping Boats and spaces for guests Boats are available on our own Footbridge. Canoes, Pedalboats and Rowingboats are available for hire direct on the Campingsite. On site are new modernised sanitation with Disabled Facilities. showers can be taken at no extra charge. But of course a swim in the Ratzeburg Lake is also refreshing and relaxing. There are facilities on site for Washing up/Crockery, Washing maschines and dryers are also available for use at a small charge on site. We also exchange Gas Bottles and Sanitary Waster Disposal area are also available for Caravans and Mobil homes. At our Kiosk you can order Fresh Bread Rolls and local Newspapers, small grocery items are also available.
