A Good Starting Point
A beautiful, spacious site surrounded by nature on Lake Müritz. Our campsite was in a very nice, quiet location.
However, during our stay, construction work was underway on the restroom building located right nearby, so it wasn’t available for use (we had been informed of this in advance), which meant... the walk to the restrooms and waste disposal area was considerably longer. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The bus stop is right nearby, and rides are free with the guest card. Overall, a highly recommended campground.

The campground is very large—there's something for everyone. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful.

Ecktannen Campground—Highly recommended!
I highly recommend the Ecktannen Campground. Spacious campsites, the restrooms were constantly cleaned, and the staff were incredibly friendly and always looked out for our well-being. The food at the bistro was absolutely delicious—very tasty and, best of all, not overpriced! The swimming area was also very clean and absolutely beautiful! We’ll definitely be back! All the best to the entire staff! And thank you so much for everything!

A beautiful, quiet spot by the water
A clean, quiet campground. The restrooms are well-maintained and clean. One minor drawback: the showers have a bit low water pressure. It’s a bit like a light drizzle. But that’s just nitpicking ;-)

The campground’s restaurant offers good food at fair prices with friendly staff. You can also buy ice... cream and drinks here. A small shop where you can buy fresh bread rolls early in the morning rounds out the overall experience.

The small beach, which you can reach directly from the campground, is great.

For the kids, the playground and petting zoo were the highlights :-)

The perfect campground right on Lake Müritz
An absolutely fantastic campground in a perfect location right on Lake Müritz. Extremely friendly, knowledgeable staff in every area. The restrooms are perfect in terms of amenities and cleanliness. The range of activities on offer (especially for families with children) is second to none. The beach party was great, too! We’ll definitely be back!

A wonderful, relaxing campground
We had a thoroughly relaxing stay at the Ecktannen Campground. We really liked the campground’s layout—everything is well-thought-out, well-maintained, and perfect for unwinding.

We were particularly impressed by the cleanliness. The entire campground and the restroom facilities were always very clean.... Added to that is all the greenery, which creates a pleasant, peaceful atmosphere.

The location is also ideal: The town of Waren is just about 3.5 kilometers away and easily accessible by bike. This way, you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the campground while still being able to get into town quickly.

A big shout-out also goes to the entire team. All the staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and warm, making us feel welcome right from the start.

We’d love to come back and can wholeheartedly recommend the Ecktannen Campground!

A campground I'd recommend
A very nice, well-maintained campground with a wonderful couple who manage the place—they supported and helped us when we had a medical issue and even made it possible for us to leave early because of it. It’s a shame we couldn’t stay here the whole time; there would have been so much more to discover. We’d like to come back and make up for it.

Arrive and Feel at Home

Ecktannen Campground, Waren
A very nice and well-located campground! The food at the bistro is excellent, and the bread roll service at the mini-market is wonderful!
We also had three small dogs with us, and there weren’t any problems at all! There’s a very nice, wooded, and fenced-in dog run, plus a designated dog swimming area... by the lake!
The only downside was that our campsite was quite steep!
Otherwise, we’d love to come back—but we’ll choose a different campsite next time!

Pretty good, with a few drawbacks
The campsite was too noisy because of the nearby dog-swimming beach; there were generally too many barking dogs. The doors to the restroom building need to be soundproofed (e.g., with rubber buffers). You almost fall off the toilet because the doors often slam shut so hard. The staff at the front desk and in the bistro were very attentive and friendly! Otherwise, it’s a very nice campground!

Construction noise instead of peace and quiet at the campsite
Unfortunately, our stay was marred by construction noise from the shower building. Under such circumstances, we would have preferred to move to a different campsite. Unfortunately, this wasn’t communicated to us upon arrival. Once we had set up our awning, moving to another spot was no longer an option, as it would have taken several hours of work. We will therefore not be returning for another stay.

A very nice campground on Lake Müritz
A very nice campground where you can choose your own spot. The restrooms are cleaned constantly and are modern. It’s just a few meters to the beach, and there’s a dog beach for your dog. The food at the bistro is delicious and reasonably priced, and the drinks are nice and cold. Overall, we found it... very relaxing.
A note about excursions: The buses won’t take dogs without muzzles, but that isn’t mentioned anywhere. Our dog is too small for that.

Very good, starting on the second day
The campground was perfect, if it hadn't been for the really loud construction work that started on Monday. We then moved to an open site and had a few quiet days. It would have been good to mention the construction noise from the start.
And for such a large campground, I think it’s outdated to only accept EC or cash.

Great for biking—a beautiful trail to Waren. The restrooms were very clean, although the 6-minute shower time is sufficient,
even if you then have to wait what feels like an eternity for another 6 minutes.

Great
A very clean campground in a convenient location close to nature and easy access to local attractions. The somewhat unconventional, mostly open-choice system for selecting a spot allows for individuality in where you set up camp. The restroom facilities are constantly monitored during the day and are therefore absolutely clean. Very friendly, helpful staff and great bike paths all around.

Camping Vacation
The place is totally fine, but we wouldn't want to be there during peak season! The bistro is really great, and the mini-market is good, too.
We'd recommend making the bike path along the water even more visible! You can't get past the slow, older e-bikers with cars and trailers on the road!

Very nice and highly recommended
A very nice and quiet campground. The staff is very friendly, and the restrooms are very clean.
The only thing is that the kiosk on the campground—which is actually quite nice—could stay open a little longer in the evenings. It’s such a great beer garden, but you can’t get anything after 9 p.m.

Great Service
This was our first time (my parents and I) at this campground. Due to a minor mishap, we were forced to buy a new gas cylinder on site. It was carried into our RV and hooked up right away. The campground and the restrooms were very clean, the staff was very friendly, and we were completely satisfied. What more could you ask for?

If you're looking for peace and quiet, this is the perfect place for you
If you’re looking for peace and quiet, this is the perfect place. That said, the campground wasn’t very crowded, which certainly added to the tranquility. We really loved the proximity to Waren on one side and the nature reserve on the other. I’d especially like to highlight the friendliness of the entire... staff—from the reception desk to the groundskeeper, the housekeeping staff, and the team at the snack bar and campground kiosk. A very nice campground
We’ve been coming to the Ecktannen Campground regularly for the past two years—both for long weekends and longer stays—and we always feel right at home.

The staff is always friendly and helpful, and the restrooms are clean and well-maintained. Our children are especially thrilled with the large playground.... There are play options suitable for every age, so there’s never a dull moment.

The beautiful location and the family-friendly atmosphere make this campground a go-to destination for us. We’d love to come back and can wholeheartedly recommend the Ecktannen Campground.

A Relaxing Stay
A lovely campground surrounded by greenery and close to the lake. You can walk to Waren or bike along the Müritz.
This time, we stayed at the RV park.
The restrooms were spotless, and all in all, we had a few relaxing days there.

We stayed at the campground from June 2 to June 9, 2026. The campground has few designated sites; otherwise, you just find a spot and set up there. This was new and a bit unusual for us, but it has the advantage of giving you more space than a marked-off plot, since the other campers prefer to keep a... bit more distance. The site is partly grass with many sandy areas, which means you end up tracking sand into the trailer. The restroom facilities are partly new, but very well-maintained and clean. A cleaning staff member is on site all day, so you can be sure to find a freshly cleaned toilet and shower at any time. We haven’t experienced that at any other campground yet. The kiosk doesn’t open until 8:00 a.m., but it has fresh rolls and everything else a camper might need. The bistro is self-service; we got pizza there twice, which was okay for the price. The campground is located outside the city but is easily accessible by bike (about 4 km). The bus stop is about 200 meters from the campground, and there are plenty of parking spots and restaurants at the harbor/Müritzeum. Waren is definitely worth a stop.

Pure relaxation
I was there at Whitsun, it was quite busy, but no reason to complain, it is pleasantly quiet, there are parceled and unparceled pitches - shady to sunny, a lot is done for children here - a large and modern playground, a bistro and direct access to the lake, in my opinion everything is available

We would love to come back
However, I would like to make two comments for improvement: In sanitary building 4 (all great), however, the shower heads are too fine-jet, so the water jet is unsuitable for a personal shower. The water jet cannot be used optimally due to the thin and wide distribution.
The second relates to the WiFi,... where the quality could be improved, we were less than 80 meters away from the transmission mast and it was constantly interrupted. (It's just annoying)
