Room for improvement
It’s the many little things that spoil the experience. Somehow, a lot of it seems to have been built without much thought.

1. At just under €31 for two people, including electricity, it’s quite expensive considering how little you get for the price.

2. A fancy fire pit with a diameter of at least 2... meters. But there’s no hole in the bottom. It’s unusable after the first rain.

3. A really great, new restroom building. But there’s no signage for the women’s restrooms, one door hasn’t been installed (yet?), and there’s a high-quality air conditioning or dehumidification system—which isn’t in use, though. Instead, the windows are open and the place is swarming with insects.

3. If you don’t want to make the long walk to the restroom building, you can get water at the old wash area—if you can even reach it. There are new campsites down below it; from above or from the side, you can make your way down a steep path through the weeds that gets slippery when it rains.

4. To get to one of the two nice, covered picnic areas, I first had to use scissors and gloves to cut back the nettles across the width of the path. That’s just not right...

5. Each site has an electrical outlet box nearby. The standard 25-meter cable should always be enough.

6. A “hill” with a small tent area is ideal for cyclists.

7. Yes, you’re camping close to the city, but considering the lack of Wi-Fi, a store, and any extras, we find the price of just under 31€—including 4% lodging tax and electricity—too expensive.

8. For lack of alternatives, we’ll definitely come back again sometime.

Sanitary building unfinished, no mirrors, too far away, too few flushing facilities, description of the site incomplete, site names missing, lack of contact persons (only at the cash desk of the swimming pool), no recommendation for disabled persons, price too high in relation to what is on offer. excessive in relation to the facilities on offer
Insufficient space
1. the campsite was absolutely unsuitable as an overnight pitch at the time I used it, June 3-5, 2026, there was no pitch marking. It turned out that our pitch had only been created a few months earlier.

2. there was no contact person on site, only at the cash desk of the swimming pool could we describe... our concerns.

3. the sanitary building is a building site. Do you know any men who have ever shaved wet without a mirror?

4. there is only one sink that works, all the others are not connected.

5. there is no reference to toilet disposal in the site description

6. due to heavy rain it was not possible to leave the pitch without outside help, there was no tractor or similar. Help was cumbersome and quite time-consuming despite the helpful lifeguard and outside help.

7. no generally available WLAN access, sad!

8. due to the inconvenient accessibility (approx. 400m) of the newly built sanitary building, there is only a poor rating for your place, especially as the costs are incomparably high. Unfortunately I had paid in advance without knowing the circumstances, I will never do it again!

Super quiet at the beginning of September, very central, friendly lady at the cash desk. Covered places to eat, fireplace, if you are not looking for luxury, this is the right place

The tent meadow is well maintained. Close to the Saale river, which you can hear rushing. At night there are lanterns that illuminate the site. However, there are not enough sanitary facilities. 1 toilet block each for men and women. Neither can be locked. This is not only impractical but also out of... date. There should be at least 3 of these containers per gender. But at least they are very clean and well maintained. There is no kiosk or similar. Campsite prices are moderate.

Sufficient for one overnight stay
The pictures are from the swimming pool. There is a non-lockable container for M + F on the pitch. No dirty water, no cooking, no washing up - nasty! Could be really nice.

Actually beautifully situated on the banks of the Saale, about 5 km from the old town. But only one sanitary container, although it was clean. The outdoor pool is next door and you pay for it. You could make more of it.

Terrible camping
We stayed there for 1 night while passing through. You can't enter the pool from the campsite, you have to make a huge detour. Plumbing is terrible, dixi car, incredibly dirty. Water taps on the spots do not work. At night there was party at the pool, loud music until 5 o'clock in the morning. The cups were shaking in the cupboard. We were not warned about this at registration. We had a terrible night there!

Unkempt, shadeless meadow next to the swimming pool 4 km north of the center of Halle. Moderately maintained sanitary facilities in two small containers with only the bare essentials. Hot water included. The swimming pool costs extra, although the place is quite expensive considering the facilities and... condition. You pay at the cash desk of the swimming pool, get a key to the site gate, otherwise the site is left to its own devices. No one is interested in nightly disturbances caused by drunks breaking into the swimming pool. No store, no restaurant, but good Chinese restaurant 500 m away and bakery 1000 m away at EDEKA. Miserable access to the site. Only for an overnight stay to see Halle. Everything worth seeing can be reached from the square by bike or streetcar,
