Like every year, we had a wonderful week here. This year, I was here with my daughter and two grandchildren. The older one took a surfing class, and we really enjoyed the great playgrounds and the surrounding area. We’d love to come back.

A really beautiful place, with very clean restrooms and showers, and lots of sports activities, from fitness to Pilates and yoga. The surf school is right on the premises—what a luxury. The supermarket is well-stocked, and the restaurant serves great fish sandwiches. So, as always, everything was absolutely wonderful. A big thank you to all the hardworking staff who help make us feel so at home here.

Great place
As always, we were very satisfied with the campground and the restroom facilities. Unfortunately, we had some bad luck with the weather, but that’s not the campground’s fault. We’d love to come back.

The beach was only partially usable due to a large amount of seaweed that had washed ashore, even though it was cleared daily. But maybe that was just because of the time of year we were there.
Great campground
Spacious campsites, very clean restrooms and showers. Good restaurant on site. Nice beach bar. Friendly staff. Supermarket with a good selection, though some items are a bit pricey.

My First Time on Fehmarn
We visited Fehmarn for the first time on a recommendation, specifically the Strukkamphuk Campground. We were pleasantly surprised that, despite the size of the campground, everything was well-organized.

We stayed on a very large site (approx. 128 m²) that we had chosen in advance online. It was located... right behind the dike and was very easy to get to; the walks to the beach and other places were also quite short.

Unfortunately, we had bad luck with the weather, and it got very stormy; and here we would have liked to have received some advice during check-in regarding the proper placement of the trailer—specifically, that strong winds can occur and it makes sense to position the trailer as a shield for the awning, that is, to set up the caravan perpendicular to the dike and the awning facing inland.

Otherwise, we had nothing but positive experiences: the restaurant was good (reservations recommended), the self-service market was great, the beach bar was fantastic, and the relaxation factor was perfect.

Unfortunately, some campers don’t follow the rules and just cut across the sites because it’s a shorter route, and when it got crowded, the restroom facilities were also quite dirty. The staff, however, did their best to keep things in order.

There were a lot of pigeons in the big trees, and they had pooped all over the trailer and the awning. The whole campsite was basically covered in pigeon droppings. You constantly had pigeon droppings under your shoes.
A Wonderful Vacation
The campground fully met our expectations. The restroom facilities deserve a very good rating. There is very little grass on the campsites. You’re not supposed to use tarps, but there’s practically no grass. I’ve described the pigeon problem under “Cons.”

A very nice campground
We spent 14 days at the campground. We really enjoyed it. It was close to the beach, had spacious campsites, very clean restrooms, and very friendly staff. We'll be vacationing there again next year.

I can't really think of anything. Except that the beach bar doesn't have restrooms, so you have to go back to the campground. It's no big deal and doesn't take long, but……
Megaplatz
We were there with our dog, and everything was truly excellent. The new washhouse is really amazing.
The washhouses are incredibly clean and modern. Okay, so there was a bit of paper on the floor once, or the toilet brush was missing—but that’s not the operator’s fault. Otherwise, the other visitors... and campers were very tidy.
Refrigerators, ice compartments, and the microwave were available for everyone to use.
The campsites were larger than average.

June Vacation at Strukkamphuk
The restrooms are top-notch and very well-maintained. You can find everything you need for daily use at the small market.

Hello, dear campground operators. I stayed with you with my motorcycle and tent. I didn’t arrive until 7:00 p.m. on the day I checked in, and you were incredibly friendly in assigning me a spot on the tent field, even though I arrived much too late. The campground is very well-maintained, and the restrooms... and shower areas were always spotless. That really makes you feel at home. It was only a few days, but they were absolutely perfect for me. The other campers were all really friendly, too :)

The lawn mowers. Especially when it's dry and all sorts of things are being blown through the air—it's a nightmare for people with allergies. The washrooms could be cleaned more thoroughly, since so many people use them.
Perfect in every way
In our last review, we mentioned that the beach wasn’t being maintained properly. This time, we were pleasantly surprised. The beach was regularly cleared of seaweed and even smoothed out—thumbs up for the work. Please keep it up. :-) The vacation got off to a stormy start but ended up being 14 days... of a dreamy summer getaway with plenty of sun, lots of cocktails, many great experiences, and a sunburn ;-). Everything went perfectly again, and we met lots of nice people. The sundowner at the beach bar is still unbeatable. We were even able to extend our stay despite it being peak season, though we did have to move rooms. But everything went smoothly. We’d love to come back.

We were out cycling and wanted to find a spot to pitch our tent there. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't great, and there was hardly any shade; plus, the few shaded spots were taken by campers, even though it's supposed to be a tenting area. Unfortunately, the site is once again designed primarily for RVs and not for cyclists.
Disappointing
Maybe make it look nicer in some places, so you don't have to look out at the boat parking lot. You could park RVs there—they don't have to be parked on one side anyway.

I think it's because of the times and the stress that not everyone can always be nice. I've known this place for 20 years, and I always enjoy going back there. But still, I have to say that everything goes really smoothly at check-in—but that's about it.
Once again, everything was great as always, but!
I used to really enjoy going to the restaurant on the square. The staff and food are terrible—absolutely unacceptable. Unfortunately, a new owner took over a few years ago. Since then, both the quality and the service have become really bad.
