- 4.0PUPeter und Beate M.juuni 20254.0PUPeter und Beate M.juuni 2025PositiivsedLocationNegatiivsednoneNice campsite with many permanent campersWe stayed at the campsite for 2 nights and were very satisfied. The reception was very friendly. We got a discount with the ADAC Campingcard and got the last free pitch. The location is beautiful, you can easily get to Volendam by bike. Edam is within walking distance. There is a bread roll service and a restaurant. The sanitary facilities are clean and functional.Automaatselt tõlgitud.1 matkaja leidis selle hinnangu olevat abistav.

Sanitary facilities not used exclusively by campers, no dogs on the siteBeautiful campsite right on the waterNice campsite with its own beach, very friendly staff, bread roll service if ordered in advance. In one of the two sanitary buildings unfortunately no hand soap and no hand dryer, sanitary otherwise ok. But also used by the boaters mooring in the harbor. There is a restaurant right next to the campsite with street vending. Due to the location directly on the harbor, it was busier at the weekend and therefore a little restless.Automaatselt tõlgitud.1 matkaja leidis selle hinnangu olevat abistav.

Chris G.mai 20195.0Chris G.mai 2019PositiivsedQuiet location directly on the waterA week of pure relaxationChecking in with the ACSI club card went quickly and smoothly, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the location of the campsite on a headland directly on the Ijselmeer is quiet and a good starting point for cycling tours and various activities. The adjoining restaurant is highly recommended. Bread roll service at the reception.Automaatselt tõlgitud.Ükski matkaja pole pidanud seda hinnangut veel kasulikuks. We would describe the cabins as "functional", no more and no less. The location of the campsite is great, right on the Ijsselmeer and the associated marina. The campsite has an outdoor pool which is both a blessing and a... curse. It's great for children, especially the slide. Unfortunately, the bathers also use the campers' sanitary buildings and sometimes leave them in a very unclean state. Due to the cleaning intervals, this sometimes remains the case overnight. The operator should definitely plan an extra cleaning shift here. The restaurant and snack bar on the site are excellent and the reception staff are friendly. We will certainly come back again.Automaatselt tõlgitud.Ükski matkaja pole pidanud seda hinnangut veel kasulikuks. Ole esimene!
- 3.0A6Ad 6.juuli 20183.0A6Ad 6.juuli 2018Plenty of upside potentialWe stayed two nights with the motorhome on the CP. Registration very friendly, uncomplicated. First choose your pitch and pay on departure. The pitches are nice on grass and big enough. The sanitary facilities on the campsite are getting on in years and are also unkempt. We therefore used the building... on the beach, which is newer but not particularly clean. But this is also used by the beach visitors. The water quality on the beach is poor and not ideal for swimming. The campsite is in a good location for trips to Edam or Volendam. There is a nice playground at the entrance.Automaatselt tõlgitud.Ükski matkaja pole pidanud seda hinnangut veel kasulikuks. Ole esimene!

- 5.0CGChantal G.mai 20165.0CGChantal G.mai 2016PositiivsedCentral, clean, good opportunities for sightseeing, delicious food, good sports facilitiesNegatiivsedWashroom could be renovated (still very clean)Tent vacationWe were at Camping Strandbad Edam from 26.05.16 28.05.16 as a couple, with car and tent. The campsite warden was very friendly and helpful. We were given a map showing us where the nearest supermarket was and that there was a great fishmonger on Saturdays. For a deposit of 10 euros you get a card for... the entrance to be able to drive in and out. You can drive in and out at any time from 7-10 am. After that you have to park outside, but the campsite has a large parking lot 50 meters away where you can park very well. Otherwise you can park your car on the pitch. About the location of the campsite: Edam city center is not very far away, 2 minutes by car and 10 minutes on foot. Directly in front of the campsite is a large boat landing stage and the parking lot for visitors and if you can't get to the campsite after 10 am. There is a large, well-kept beach with benches right next to the campsite. A 2-minute walk away is the Fort bij Edam, which is well worth a visit but unfortunately is only open until 3pm. After that you stand in front of a locked gate and can only just see the building. There is a large main road close to the square which you just have to follow and you can get directly to Marken/ Volendam/ Monickendam/ Pumerend/ Alkmaar and Amsterdam. Everything is very well signposted and you don't even need a satnav. A little tip on the side! Don't go to Amsterdam by car unless you have too much money in your wallet... There is a large bus station in Edam where you can take the express bus to Amsterdam city center (just as fast as by car). Sanitary facilities: The toilets are standard white tiled and very clean, the only thing I missed was a mirror in the toilet. There is also a bathroom which could do with a new coat of paint but is also very clean. In addition, there is the possibility to wash your dishes there in large sinks or to get water. Shower tokens can be obtained at any time from a vending machine at reception. You can get 2 for one euro. One coin is enough for one shower. Catering: You can pre-order rolls, bread etc. at reception. There is also a restaurant with everything your heart desires. We ate there on the first evening. There are dishes from cheap to expensive and for wine drinkers I can highly recommend the dry rose wine and red wine. We ordered a delicious tomato soup filled with meatballs and a toasti. 2 tomato soups and 2 toastis cost us a total of 13 euros. A glass of wine costs €3.25 in the restaurant. If you don't want to cook yourself or eat in a restaurant, you can also find plenty to do in Edam City. There are lots of restaurants, a good snack bar, a bakery and a great ice cream store in the bakery that still makes its own ice cream. We were very happy with the campsite and would go there again at any time :):) The price-performance ratio is right.Automaatselt tõlgitud.Ükski matkaja pole pidanud seda hinnangut veel kasulikuks. Walter C.september 20143.0Walter C.september 2014PositiivsedLocation.NegatiivsedNoise (certainly not always), wetnessMoist place in a beautiful locationWe were there for a few days at the beginning of September. The campsite is beautifully situated on a peninsula and has lots of facilities. Bread roll service and a restaurant are available. Very nice and helpful groundsman. The sanitary facilities are good, the old site has obviously been renovated.... The pitches are spacious but very wet, even after prolonged dry weather. The chocks sank into the ground. I wouldn't want to stand here after prolonged rain. During our stay there was constant noise disturbance from several guests or long-term campers (booming rock music all over the site) until late at night. Some guests left early because of this, as did we. Unfortunately, the site management did not intervene. About 2.5 km to the center of the nice little town. There is also a bus stop, e.g. for a trip to Amsterdam. Price: €19 for camper van and 2 people incl. electricity and showers.Automaatselt tõlgitud.1 matkaja leidis selle hinnangu olevat abistav. - 4.0
Jančar J.juuli 20134.0Jančar J.juuli 2013The campsite is suitable as a starting point for bike tours to nearby attractions such as the cheese market in Edam, the fishing town of Volendam, etc. The campsite is large, rather noisy. When the operators saw that I was disabled, we were given a seat right next to the sanitary building without being asked. The only negative thing was the facilities in the older sanitary building, whereas the new one is tip-top.Automaatselt tõlgitud.2 matkajat leidis selle hinnangu olevat abistav.
- 5.0BLBea L.august 20125.0BLBea L.august 2012Highly recommended! On the short distance, a maximum of 2 km from Edam to the beach site, there is a lot to see for the eye. The first impression when we stepped through the barrier and went into reception was the extremely friendly staff who accompanied us to our campsite and informed us about the location,... the sunshine and the possibilities. The grass is wet - it rained all day - but there are never - ever any pesky snails. There were 3 of us on an Interrail trip, we expected nothing - and got everything. Of course, the sanitary facilities in the annexe were in need of improvement, but the ones in the main building were all the nicer. You have the opportunity to swim and there is even a kitchen for everyone - at no extra charge. But my personal experience was the best: After a hot, beautiful day, a storm blew in out of the blue - our tent became a pool. The staff took advantage of this. We asked if we could spend the night in the beautifully furnished social room as an exception. Not only would they allow it, they even offered us one of the expensive cabins for one night free of charge! So the staff get 10 out of 5 stars! Just really nice! A personal plus for me was the friendly, trusting ducks, which were the biggest source of entertainment on more than one occasion. I would also like to say something positive about the delicious beach restaurant, which not only boasts nice staff and a beautiful view, but also offers really great, delicious food at a good price. Highly recommended!Automaatselt tõlgitud.1 matkaja leidis selle hinnangu olevat abistav.
- 4.0PKpeter k.juuli 20124.0PKpeter k.juuli 2012Well located site by the Marken Meer. Sanitary facilities ok. You have to pay for showers and hot water. Friendly reception. No store, but bread can be ordered. With the GARMIN GPS you are guided to the wrong place, pay attention to the signs. Pitches are mainly on the grass, so if it rains make sure it drains well. The restaurant is very good, right on the water.Automaatselt tõlgitud.Ükski matkaja pole pidanud seda hinnangut veel kasulikuks. Ole esimene!

I have already been there in 2009 and have used the place repeatedly for vacation because of its top location in relation to Amsterdam. The description is no longer up to date! W-LAN is now available and bungalows... can be rented. For Amsterdam fans this place is a great starting point, every half hour buses go directly to the city (Central Station in max. 25 min there).
