Very nice campground, conveniently located
The campground is conveniently located near the city, in a quiet part. Very easy to get to the center on foot. In the low part of the campground there is shade and there are spacious camping areas. In the high part the distance to the city is much greater and there is less/no shade. Close to the restaurant again, though. It is located just below the Wolfesschlucht. Many hiking possibilities.

Quaint campsite
In 2016, I spent almost a week at the campsite on my motorcycle. The entrance area exudes a southern flair with its open sanitary facilities and colors. I found it very cozy. With simple means you have given the older building charm. The location on the hillside with terraces is very nice and there are... plenty of shady spots. There is a southern relaxed atmosphere everywhere on the site and the staff are super friendly. The sanitary facilities are very simple but clean and you can shower for free with a flood of water 😂 If you don't want luxury but a good atmosphere, friendliness and low prices (11€ all in tent, motorcycle high season), this is certainly not the wrong address.

We were on the upper part. Very quiet and beautiful view. The pitches are sloping, so we needed several beams to level the caravan. The plumbing is outdated but clean.
