"See super sanitary minus - The site is accessible via a gate which can be opened at any time. There are lots of garbage cans on the beach which was very positive and the beach is naturally sandy. This is great large open spaces for volleyball soccer and much more. The negative thing is that there is no tree or shade on the motorhome pitch. You stand in the blazing sun all day. The sanitary facilities with the hot showers are really bad. There are three showers per gender, two of which are locked for the permanent campers. This means that the other users only have one shower available for everyone. There is no stool inside the shower, no shelf where you can put your glasses or anything else. It only has two small hooks. There are also sanitary facilities on the beach. However, they only have cold water and no showers, just an outdoor shower for the sand. The water is very warm and pleasant for swimming. Surroundings very nice. We had no water connection only electricity.

"Very nice campsite - Super site with large pitches for campers and a large meadow for tents. In the months of June, July and August, the kiosk is open on the site. There are German bratwurst, chips, meatballs, ice cream and much more. The municipality of Seltz runs the campsite and the groundskeeper is very friendly and helpful. The campsite is located on a great bathing lake with a large sandy beach and is also supervised by a lifeguard. On the other side of the campsite is the beautiful Rhine with a free ferry to Germany.

"Simple, inexpensive place in a beautiful area - I've been going to the campsite from time to time for many years. I've always loved the car-free tent pitches. The staff also make sure that there aren't too many people on the site. The staff could sometimes be friendlier, but you don't have much to do with them. If you're expecting the full infrastructure of an upmarket campsite, you're in the wrong place. If you simply want to camp in beautiful natural surroundings between the Rhine and the lake at an unbeatable price, this is the place for you. Ideally, you should bring a bike. You can order bread rolls on the site itself and there is a simple kiosk. A few meters from the site there is a larger kiosk on the Rhine and a good tarte flambée restaurant. The Rhine ferry to Plittersdorf is free, where you can also reach a very good and inexpensive German restaurant on foot. To go shopping in Plittersdorf or Seltz, you have to use a bicycle or car. When my son was little, there was regular drama when the short vacation was over and we had to go home again. But I still enjoy being there without children today....

"We've never experienced anything like it. - No electricity and a site ban on critical request. The receptionist is - as we experienced on the much nicer French alternative campsite, which welcomed us in a friendly manner - a well-known German hater. We were not the first to leave. That explained everything to us. It was a bad experience for our young people after many good exchanges with France via school.

"Never again!!! - The reception was unfriendly, nothing was explained and if you asked, you only got unfriendly announcements. We camped however we wanted because nobody was interested. You don't get electricity even though we were registered. The sanitary facilities are ancient and dirty. There are no leisure facilities and not even a store on the site. There is no peace and quiet, as nobody is there after 6 pm and some campers, who know this, are loud until late at night. We will never come back.

Profiil

The “Les Bords du Rhin” campsite is open every year from April 1st to September 30th. It is a municipal campsite managed by the local town hall. There are a total of 150 pitches available. Of these, 77 are fully …equipped "grand comfort" pitches intended for permanent residents, with connections to drinking water, sewage systems, and 6A electricity. The other pitches also have electricity connections, and there is a separate parking area for motorhomes. The campsite is surrounded by greenery in the Rhine plain, nestled between a small lake and the Rhine River, just a short distance from the Sauer Delta Nature Reserve. In the warm season, you can swim in the lake, which features a fine sandy beach and is supervised by lifeguards. The area is ideal for cycling and hiking, with many trails starting nearby. Children can enjoy a playground and another play area located right on the beach. The site is also accessible to people with reduced mobility, and free hot showers are available. A two-star classification is currently in progress. Just steps away from the campsite, you'll find two restaurants and a bar serving food. The site connects directly to the international cycle path running along the Rhine. Hiking trails also start nearby. A cross-border ferry allows pedestrians, cyclists, and vehicles to cross the river. In the surrounding area, you’ll find various leisure options such as fishing, fly fishing, tennis, and a media library. For shopping, a supermarket and various stores are located just 2 km away in the village center. Rates are designed to be flexible: you can book by the day, by the month, or for the entire season, including winter storage for your caravan if needed. During June, July, and August, the campsite office is open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Your contact person is Ms. Bernadette Royer, available at +33 3 88 86 85 90.
