Then the Montiggl Campground is the perfect place for you. Your belongings and your every move are monitored by cameras. The restroom facilities are top-notch. It’s only when it comes to manners and friendliness that the staff doesn’t... quite measure up to the top tier. But if you enjoy paying a lot and getting relatively little in return (limited space, limited direct access to the lake), this is the place for you. A swimming pond—sterile and devoid of any sense of nature—offers the same swimming experience as a conventional swimming pool. You’re rich, older, conservative, and love to show off everything you own. Nowhere else will you feel more at home. From the very first moment, you feel an atmosphere of tranquility and well-being that clearly distinguishes it from other facilities.
The absolute highlight is the fantastic natural swimming... pool, an oasis of coolness and relaxation that blends seamlessly into the surrounding landscape. It is a pleasure to immerse oneself in such a harmonious environment, far from the chlorine and crowds of traditional pools.
The pitches are exceptionally large, providing enviable privacy, a true luxury nowadays. You have all the space you need to fully enjoy your own corner of nature, without feeling crowded or disturbed by neighbors.
Another aspect that impressed me positively is the quality of the facilities. They are spacious, brand new, fully automated, and impeccably clean at all times of the day. This is a detail that really makes a difference and demonstrates the camp's attention to the well-being of its guests. In addition, the presence of several service blocks scattered around the campsite ensures that all guests have easy access and efficiency at all times, avoiding queues or inconvenience.
In summary, Camping Montiggl is the perfect choice for those seeking a high-quality camping experience, surrounded by nature, with excellent services and a relaxing atmosphere. - 5.0USUlf S.september 20235.0USUlf S.september 2023PositiivsedClean, modern, new and perfectly laid out, restaurant, pool, homemade ice cream, homemade cakes...NegatiivsedIt would be nice to have disinfectant dispensers for the seats in the toilets. I'm not complaining, just a suggestion.Modern new campsiteBeautifully laid out and easily accessible new campsite with a natural pool in the middle. Good restaurant, but upmarket price range. Alternatively there is pizza from 7 euros. The pitches are large enough and filled with gravel. The gravel on our pitch was quite loose, which was a bit unusual. Gravel... may not be everyone's cup of tea, but we found it very clean and the awning carpet stayed in the car.
There are cherry laurel plant partitions between the pitches - very nice. There are also small lawns behind the pitches at the edge (fence with barbed wire). Please note: The site is irrigated, so our rotary dryer was in an unfavorable position - but we were warned in good time.
There are several modern sanitary buildings, I think 4, which makes for short distances. We only had 2 toilets and 2 showers (men) in the building, but I only had to wait once during our week's stay when the pitches were full. Showers are free and equipped with timed hand showers in shared cubicles. Overall, the concept seems to fit, everything is very well organized, well thought out, modern and ideally located.
A matter of taste, but I think it's good that you can get through the barrier during the day. Only from 10.00-7.00 p.m. is night-time rest and driving on the site taboo - completely okay.
The staff are very friendly, a small store is well equipped and offers, among other things, a varied selection of bread rolls without pre-ordering. We will definitely include this site on our list of favorites.Automaatselt tõlgitud.1 matkaja leidis selle hinnangu olevat abistav. - 4.0
Siegfried N.mai 20234.0Siegfried N.mai 2023PositiivsedBeautiful pitches, electricity columns with fresh and waste water, beautiful bathing pond, peace and quiet, cleanliness, friendliness of all staff, location of the site, nice self-service store.NegatiivsedNoneSuper campsite with minor criticism, therefore only 4 stars. It was our first time here and we felt completely satisfied and welcome right from the start. The site is still very new and very well laid out and equipped. Therefore one star deduction, because all 3 sanitary buildings have only "1" urinal directly between the washbasin and hair dryer without a reasonable... separation. Unfortunately, there are also only two shower and toilet cubicles per sanitary building. I don't think that's up to date for a newly created site of this size. Otherwise everything, but really everything, is very clean, extremely friendly staff 😊, a great swimming pond, a super well-stocked little store with good breakfast rolls and a higher-priced but excellent restaurant. We can highly recommend this place and will definitely be back again.Automaatselt tõlgitud.3 matkajat leidis selle hinnangu olevat abistav. - 4.0JUJürgen U.aprill 20234.0JUJürgen U.aprill 2023PositiivsedVery clean campsite. For us it's an ideal location for hiking and cycling, away from the towns, but no problem for us. The food in the restaurant is really delicious and the owners and staff are so helpful. It therefore has modern facilities. However, there is hardly any greenery on the site: graveled pitches, very low hedges and small trees. And when there are a lot of very large motorhomes on the site, you sometimes find yourself standing between white walls up to four meters high. Not our thing. - 3.0SRStefan R.juuli 20223.0SRStefan R.juuli 2022PositiivsedSo far a nice and tidy placeNegatiivsedCaravans are absolutely not welcome at Camperstop. Not desired for camper stops with caravansAlthough caravans belong to the origins of camping, they are not welcome at the camper stop on this site.
However, no clear explanation could be given to us.
A WW team would be too big if a large Morelo camper van were to arrive. But if a second Morelo arrives and there is already a Morelo in the camper... stop, it's no different. Our team is no longer than a proper Morelo. What's more, we would have taken the last space at the back.
You could unhook the camper and drive out again with the car and then the barrier counter would no longer be correct. Then why are vehicles only allowed with a tent? They don't even have to park without occupying a space with their tent.
In the end, we had to drive into the site and didn't even get a discount for it.
We won't be going back to this campsite because we didn't feel worthy enough as WW drivers.Automaatselt tõlgitud.1 matkaja leidis selle hinnangu olevat abistav. - 4.0ELElke L.juuni 20224.0ELElke L.juuni 2022PositiivsedNew campsite near the Montiggl lakes, with a small natural pool. Very well maintained.NegatiivsedNothing.Top campsite with goodwillAlthough the site is located on the road to the large Montiggl lake, it is well protected by the wall facing the road. The sanitary facilities are modern and very clean. The green center with playground and natural swimming pond, around which the pitches are arranged, loosens up the facility very nicely.... The pitches vary in size and all have electricity and water connections. The 4 sanitary facilities distributed around the site with recycling areas behind them are arranged in such a way that they are easily accessible from the individual pitches.
We had to leave early for private reasons, the receptionist was very understanding and only charged us for the time of our stay.
Overall, a very nice place that has its price, but justifies it.
A note if anyone wants to do laundry: Please buy the appropriate coins at reception beforehand as the washing machines do not work with money.

M.september 2020PositiivsedNice reception with friendly staff; spacious pitches and everything easily maneuverable even with a large vehicle and trailer; infrastructure; cleanliness; good location in the Überetsch; good restaurantNegatiivsedThe pitches and roadway are all gravel, which does have a rather sterile effect.Place with good infrastructure and extremely nice receptionWe had reserved a large, quiet Premium pitch for our large motorhome and were given a very large pitch. Everything is easily accessible and easy to maneuver, even with a trailer. The reception was extremely friendly and we immediately felt welcome. We were given a connector for the unusual 32A power... connection without being asked. The infrastructure is state of the art with electricity, water, swimming pool, store, restaurant, bar, café, supply/disposal, rental bikes, etc. Everything is available. The restaurant on site is highly recommended. Our pitch was as far away from the road as possible and therefore very quiet.
It takes about 35 minutes to walk from the campsite to the center of St. Michael and about the same time to the small Montiggl lake (if you choose the shortest walking route, you only have to walk a short distance along the road). The pitches are separated by low hedges. Because everything is gravelled, the whole thing looks a bit sterile. However, the pitches and sanitary facilities are very clean, although we hardly needed the latter. We are self-sufficient in our motorhome in this respect.Automaatselt tõlgitud.2 matkajat leidis selle hinnangu olevat abistav. - 5.0CAChristian A.august 20205.0CAChristian A.august 2020PositiivsedLocation, sanitary facilities, service, e-carNegatiivsed-Great place with swimming pondThe pitch is convincing. It is extremely clean - both the sanitary facilities and the outdoor areas. The staff are very service-oriented, the boss is pleasant and sociable. We rented a VW E-Up one day, which cost €50 including electricity - very OK. The location and the outdoor seating in the restaurant... are great. The restaurant service at dinner did not convince us for the price level. The food was good.
