Great location, very well maintained, super nice staff, beautiful view of Volterra, a piece of Etruscan wall next to the site with a wonderful view of the countryside, table football and table tennis table. You can walk into town.

Friendly campsite
We traveled from Pisa it was spectacular to drive through the beautiful Tuscan countryside in the fall. the road was not easy with a big camper but it works. We received a warm welcome like nowhere else on our trip... Friendly set up. We were allowed to order bread rolls right away and the nice lady... then briefly explained the way to Volterra on foot.
We were allowed to choose our pitch and stand on it. The pitches are a bit uneven but no problem for us. In the evening we went for a walk to the beautiful church which was so beautifully illuminated with the mystical fog it was really great. We then found a small bar. The sanitary facilities are really a bit outdated (no toilet paper) no problem for us. Showers and washing up were functional. Pool would have been open but we didn't use it. We slept peacefully. The next morning we explored Volterra which is a bit touristy but beautiful. Conclusion Great campsite without a lot of frills

Large pitches, also for camper vans. Many pitches with plenty of shade. Volterra can be reached on foot in a short time. Bread and other things directly on site. Very friendly staff throughout.
Negatiivsed
The sanitary facilities are a bit outdated. Swimming cap for the pool...really now? You can hear the road sometimes more, sometimes less... Otherwise it was very quiet.
A beautiful place to explore Volterra and San Gimignano.
I stayed here for 4 nights in the high season and was satisfied. Beautiful e-bike tours to San Gimignano or Castello Querceto are possible. Volterra is right nearby anyway.

- Great location - Beautifully landscaped close to nature

- Sanitary not clean
beautiful, super located place with cleanliness problems
A campsite couldn't be better located next to a town - the grounds are landscaped with trees and there is shade when you need it.
The pool was unfortunately just tipped over.
Sanitary facilities very old, dirty, not cleaned, didn't like using the toilet or shower. It was also brittle, tiles were missing and cobwebs were everywhere.

Sanitary facilities well
Real camping without the glamping nonsense
We received a very friendly welcome on the site and were able to choose a free pitch easily. The site is quite natural, so some of the pitches are quite uneven. If you want to stand upright with a camper van, you can use a gravel plateau.
The pitches vary greatly in size and are divided up using ropes....
The small swimming pool is well maintained. Bread rolls can be ordered at the reception.
The sanitary facilities are simple and dated.
Volterra is easy to reach on foot.

The location of the campsite is great - you can reach the town quickly. Beautiful views and a very quiet campsite. There was plenty of shade.
Negatiivsed
Unfortunately you have to bring your own toilet paper and soap. The sanitary facilities are very basic and getting on in years.
Perfect starting point for exploring Volterra
The campsite is in a great location and we could reach Volterra on foot. It was also nice that there were plenty of shady pitches. The Wi-Fi is included and also had sufficient range.
Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities are a bit outdated and could do with an upgrade. You have to bring your own toilet paper and soap for washing your hands.
For us, a good place for a stopover.

Nice and very clean place after the city center of Volterra
The site is located on the edge of Volterra. You can get to the center on foot. The sanitary facilities were perfectly in order during our visit and, above all, clean. The only thing missing was a washing machine. We had plenty of space for our camper van. Bread roll service is available as well as a swimming pool and a small bar. Highly recommended!

Beautiful campsite in Tuscany
Beautiful campsite in Volterra. From the parking lot above the campsite you have a fantastic view of Volterra and Tuscany. Also the friendliest campsite owner we have ever met! The campsite also has a pool. The sanitary facilities are getting on in years.

Close to the city of Volterra Plenty of space in low season, few people Central to other cities in Tuscany Nice staff

Smelly sanitary facilities uncleanliness Street noise and ringing bells
High expectations, nasty surprises
The photos on the homepage of this campsite look very promising. But as soon as you arrive here, you quickly realize that photos don't always reflect reality. The site itself is well located, you can get to the town quickly and the proximity to other towns such as San Gimignano or Siena is also a plus.... Our dog can finally run free here and be a dog again. Nevertheless, we don't stay here for more than a day. The sanitary facilities are an imposition. Apparently nobody cleans here. It smells like rotten eggs, the showers and toilets are almost dark as soon as you close the door, and there are bugs, ants and other creepy-crawlies everywhere in the toilet. So even on a campsite I expect a certain level of cleanliness! Nothing is mentioned on the homepage about the half-hourly and one-hourly church bells and the noise level of the street next door. You have nature all around you, but you can't enjoy the peace and quiet.

unclean, overfilled garbage cans, faulty electricity systems
A bitter disappointment
Old, partly defective and unclean sanitary facilities. We did not see a cleaning lady in 2 days. Some of the electricity boxes are defective. Our electronics started to burn because there was electricity on the neutral conductor!

Sanitary facilities - not possible
Just one word: too bad
CP is well located, Volterra can be reached quickly on foot or by bike and is definitely worth a visit. The pitches are large, level and everything is possible from sun to shade. But cleanliness is something else than wetting the toilet garden hose, ugh. Even if the site is older, cleaning is always... possible. We were there on 19.05.2017 (and only one day, then the stench is enough), should cost a maximum of 15€, because you have to use your own sanitary facilities, definitely not 30€! A real shame.

Unclean and broken / worn-out sanitary facilities that stink
Perfect place to explore Volterra
The campsite is located directly below the old town of Volterra and can be reached by bike within a few minutes. The staff is very friendly and courteous, but the first positive impression is significantly diminished by the sanitary facilities. They are very old and partly broken. They are also not very clean, which results in an unpleasant smell. Unfortunately, this is a reason for us not to recommend the campsite.

long travel times to Florence, Siena, Pisa
Super campsite
We (me and my girlfriend) used the campsite as a starting point for sightseeing in the provinces of Siena, Pisa and Florence, as the site is very centrally located. Unfortunately, it takes quite a long time to get to a faster road where you can go further. Nevertheless, the campsite is really great.... Above all, you have a wonderful view of the old town of Volterra and can easily reach the center (if you walk fast) in a quarter of an hour. There are plenty of places to eat around the campsite. The cleanliness of the sanitary facilities is also okay, but could be better (the chemical toilet was quite smelly). Actually a great campsite, the only thing is that the pitches in the main area are not parceled out, so you have to make sure that you find a small free spot to put your tent or caravan. Despite the few drawbacks, I would definitely recommend the site. The price-performance ratio is definitely right :-)

Good, barely parceled-out site for visiting Volterra. If you walk from the pitch to the right into the district, you can easily reach the town on foot. Pitches on grass are not paved, muddy in the rain and partly sloping. The road is within earshot. Relatively expensive despite some discount in the low season.

In itself nice location on the outskirts of Volterra. Plumbing smelled, although it did not look very dirty. Walking from the campsite to Volterra is doable but far! Not a campsite to stay 3 weeks but enough to see the area. Unmarked sites with plenty of shade. Swimming pool on the campsite.

Nice place right on the outskirts of Volterra - perfect for exploring the city. You can reach the city center on foot in about 15 minutes. Very open and simple site; friendly staff; small grocery store; not a camping revelation, but nothing really negative either

great location, very well taken care of (feels like a beautiful garden) and clean. The people very very nice. You can easily walk to the center of Volterra and just outside the campground a nice walk along the Etruscan walls. Ideal for those looking for a convenient location for excursions and for those who like peace and relaxation. Thank you very much:-)
