The view was stunning. We had the campsite all to ourselves (is it closed?) We had an issue with another camp and needed somewhere to stay, we started to worry and found this little campsite last minute. I tried ringing but the man on the end of the phone didnt understand me. So we drove there and there waa no one around besides a kind dog walker a d few of the residents in the wooden huts. They were friendly and told us to stay. We absolutely loved the spot- the view, the tranquility. It was just beautiful!

The website says €16.50.. we paid a man 40 euro for one night, can't believe it! We didnt use electeicity or the water, only had a shower which was freezing. We were a bit confused to whether it was open or not anymore??

Paid maybe too much? But not sure.
Absolutely stunningly peaceful. We loved it.

Proximity to the ski area; peace and quiet
Idyllic campsite in the foothills of the Alps
The approach to the site is via the mountain road from Flums to Flumserberg with 4-6 hairpin bends. Although the steep road is well constructed, it is so narrow in some places that passing with an over-wide trailer can be a challenge. When you arrive at the campsite, you are greeted and instructed directly... and in a very friendly manner by the site manager. The campsite is dominated by permanent campers. Only a small meadow in the form of a pitch is available to tourists. Two power boxes are available in the middle of each pitch (please note: only Swiss power plugs - no CEE standard available - you must bring your own adapter). Campers have access to a 60s-style sanitary building (you feel like you've stepped back in time ;) ). The sanitary facilities are clean and sufficient for the size of the site and the time available (about 20 permanent camper families and us alone on the tourist site). The showers are excellent, albeit for a fee. The site doesn't offer much variety. A small playground for the tourist children... It is particularly suitable as a starting point for skiers or those with a fascination for the mountains - the view of the Kurfirsten is outstanding. What cannot be included in my rating points is the price/performance ratio, which is more than right. Insider tip: the restaurant at the crossroads offers good local home cooking at moderate prices

Although it is heavily frequented by permanent campers, it has a meadow/pitch for caravans and mobile homes. Good starting point for skiing vacations on the Flumserberg. Free ski bus to the center of the ski area and to the Flumserberg indoor swimming pool. The CP is located at approx. 900m, the ski area starts at 1400m, snow guaranteed until Easter
