It is very quiet, sanitary facilities are clean, as long as others keep to leaving it clean. The operators are nice, courteous and helpful and make a great effort, you get a few groceries and fresh bread rolls on request, and... should consider that you go to a supermarket before arrival to shop. The place is very well located for hiking and biking. We thank you for the hospitality and would love to come back. Rüdiger G.september 2021PositiivsedProximity to natureNegatiivsed-Quiet place in the northern Black ForestWe were there for three nights with our caravan and mobile home. We were able to check in at 3 p.m. sharp and were shown to our pitch. The pitches are not subdivided so that you can stand individually. There are few pitches in the shade, which is an advantage in the early and late season. If it rains,... it gets very damp on the lower meadow. The power distribution is not ideal. In some places you should have a large cable drum with you. The sanitary facilities were clean and modern. The pitch was also not very busy. Wifi only worked at reception. You can start hiking immediately from the campsite. There are plenty of options. Baden-Baden can be reached quickly by car. The very friendly owners and the good sanitary facilities.NegatiivsedFar out, no shopping facilities.Wonderful place in the northern Black ForestWe really liked this campsite (we stayed in a camper van). The site is beautifully situated near the Black Forest High Road in the small village of Herrenwies, close to the cross-country skiing center and the Mehliskopf ski center. The Schwarzenbachtalsperre, where water sports are possible, is also... close by and there are many hiking possibilities and especially mountain bikers will find a paradise. It is about 12 km to Forbach, where you can take the train to Freudenstadt and cycle the wonderful Tour de Murg. This is also no problem for "normal cyclists", as the route is almost always downhill through beautiful countryside. The campsite owners are extremely friendly and very helpful. The sanitary facilities are well maintained and very clean, there is even a washing machine and dryer. There is also a sociable lounge with internet available for guests. You can get fresh bread rolls in the morning and fresh fruit and vegetables on Thursdays. Some shopping facilities in the kiosk. There are many permanent campers on the site. - Michael R.august 2013A site dominated by permanent campers. As you stand on your own large meadow between the edge of the site and the stream, this doesn't bother you at all. The meadow is ideal for tents. Mobile homes and camper vans are often placed on free pitches between the permanent campers. But this is also ok and... possibly more practical. The camping store has the essentials, bread rolls in the morning (the normal ones are not recommended) can be ordered in advance. The surroundings are magnificent, pure Black Forest! Hiking, cycling, mountain biking in abundance. Small children's playground but great play stream on the edge of the campsite. Recommendation for everyone who doesn't need a Remi-Demmi!
