Even at the last minute, there's still plenty of room during the vacation season

You're constantly being reminded of rules and restrictions. In the booking confirmation email, they practically yell at you that awnings are prohibited. The "comfort" sites don't really offer much comfort.
Not all comfort is the same
We came here on short notice because the weather on the Baltic Sea was too bad. Even during peak vacation season, there’s still plenty of space here. When the lawn mower isn’t running, it’s very quiet here. Unfortunately, there’s nothing within walking distance where you can quickly grab a bite to eat... or go shopping. There are a lot of rules on the campground, including how the RV has to be parked. The “comfort” sites don’t really offer much comfort. The sewage hookup is too far away, and you have to fetch water from the path as well. The restroom facilities are more like a 1980s gym with a rain shower. It’s okay for a few days—the sites are large—but we won’t be coming back.

All around great!
We were only here for one night, but we felt right at home from the start. The campsites are all very well-maintained, with beautiful lawns and trimmed hedges. The grounds are park-like, with a few trees not far from the banks of the Saale River. We received a friendly welcome and enjoyed the bread roll service. We’d love to come back!

Great Campground
A very well-maintained campground with friendly owners and staff. Pure tranquility and a beautiful view of Rudelsburg Castle from the campground. You can also quickly reach the vineyards by bike. We really relaxed and recharged.

Passing each other on the access road can be difficult when there are two trailers.
A beautiful and peaceful campground on the Saale River
We were assigned a perfect spot for our large RV and trailer combination, complete with electricity (16A), water, and on-site waste disposal. The spot was shaded by trees starting in the early afternoon, which was a big advantage given the current high temperatures. The lawn is mowed regularly and the... shrubs are trimmed. We therefore didn’t see it as a drawback that we weren’t allowed to lay out an awning mat. The site is large enough to accommodate good facilities, yet not too big. The location is ideal for canoe trips on the Saale River and for visiting Naumburg and other nearby towns. The salt graduation tower in Bad Kösen is also worth a visit.

The owners' tone is reminiscent of a German army barracks
Great place in BLK
It's a really great campsite in the Bogen district. With excellent opportunities for sporting activities. Whether cycling, hiking, canoeing or dinghies and there is also an excellent infrastructure, so that you can reach the cities, Jena, Naumburg, Freiburg or the Nebra Sky Disk wonderfully and if the... bike tour was then too long, you can use the rail network. With the Thuringia Ticket, you can travel cheaply. Now to the campsite. We had the pitch in I03 and it had everything a modern pitch should offer, electricity, water, gray water and enough space. The sanitary facilities are very spacious and very clean. There is a camping cleaner for disposing of the chemical toilet at a moderate price of €2.50. On a positive note, there is a gate to a large field in the very modern rear area of the site, where you can walk your dog very quickly. I assume that the owner has also prepared a wide aisle here with a lawnmower about 1 m wide for the dog and owner. Overall, this campsite with its location and facilities is highly recommended. However, there is a 0.1% point deduction because the opening hours and the tone of the welcome were more reminiscent of a German army barracks than a warm welcome to the guest. So 4.9 points.

Nothing really important. That would be whining at the very highest level.
We liked it
The almost military tone of the welcome email continues a little on the pitch. Lots of prohibitions and rules of conduct: "Enter individually", "close doors", "registration deadline". On arrival, you just feel tolerated, but not very welcome. This impression disappears very quickly once you have checked in and many of these signs certainly have a history that made them necessary.

Very clean site with parceled out pitches. No awning carpets, so even at the end of August the pitches are still super grassy. 10 minutes by bike to Bad Kösen (train station, Netto, Lidl, restaurants). Canoe tours possible everywhere in the region. Restaurant on the pitch. A matter of taste. More like a snack bar.

A place of prohibitions. There are signs everywhere telling you what is forbidden and how to behave. Before you arrive, you receive an email with all the rules and prohibitions. Nothing bad and easy to implement, but other guests also found the g Atem prohibition signs "special".
Very nice & clean & beautiful location
My tip to the place: The welcome email doesn't even contain a sentence saying that they look forward to the visitor (customer) and wish them a pleasant journey. It was made clear to us what we are not allowed to do. This could certainly be packaged in a more friendly and attractive way, as the site is very beautiful and certainly wants to "welcome" people.

Great, quiet campsite in a very beautiful region
We spent our summer vacation there (16 nights) and can recommend the site 100%. Very professionally run site. Large, flat and very well-kept pitches; everything from sunny to shady. Clean and well-kept sanitary facilities in sufficient numbers (really clean!). Totally friendly and courteous operators... and staff (you can tell they enjoy their job and work as a team). I think the price-performance ratio is absolutely fair and appropriate for the site. In our opinion, the Camperstüble is one of the best restaurants on a campsite that we have seen (and we have seen quite a few).
The location of the campsite is really beautiful. You can get everywhere very easily by bike (in my opinion, there is a very good cycling infrastructure in the region!) However, a bicycle or similar is also recommended, as "just walking" to Bad Kösen is possible, but it is a short (but beautiful) walk.
The Saale-Unstrut region is an absolutely positive discovery for us, as are the wines from there! :-) We will definitely be back.

Price simply too high for what was on offer. Groups partied undisturbed into the night. I have never come across a place where such restrictions were imposed on dogs. The friends of drinking sports were clearly preferred.
Quite a good place, but too expensive, many groups, lots of alcohol
Nice place with modern facilities. Good location for excursions, even by bike. At such high prices, I would also expect controls and notices for groups that are too loud. The restrictions for dogs are second to none.

Dear Mr. Melms,

Our prices are based on the German average of € 36.00 per night and two people. As we did not receive any information about a noisy group, I wonder why you did not call the emergency number!
The notice for dog owners should make it clear that all guests should feel welcome (even non-dog... owners!). Simple rules are described here, such as the leash obligation and that only the hiking trails should be used for walking. In addition, our campsite is located in an FFH nature reserve where there are special rules for dog owners and which apply throughout Saxony-Anhalt in these areas.

Sehr unfreundlicher Empfang. Nach 1,5 Stunden warten mussten wir betteln um einen anständigen Platz. Das Personal wurde sehr schlecht behandelt in unserem Beisein. Wenn man Klappwagen hat ist man nicht willkommen. Wir sind denn auch früher gegangen als geplant. Die Dame und Herr am Empfang sind ungastfrei, unfreundlich und einfach frech.

Mit Zelt ⛺ oder Klappwagen nicht hinfahren. Für Eur 45-50 pro Nacht wird viel zu viel verlangt.

Your review is exactly how you behaved with us. Stuhr rules were ignored and our staff always reacted venomously to your comments. They were therefore advised to look for another campsite. In addition, we charge €36.00 per night per pitch and not €45-50 as you described!

The grass especially on our pitch (comfort pitch) left a lot to be desired. Far to the center.
Beautiful area, with spacious parking spaces
We stayed on the site for 2 weeks.
The location itself is very nice, but far away from the center of Bad Kösen. It is a large, flat site with mostly well-maintained grass.
Our Comfort pitch, of all places, was not very densely overgrown with grass.
The campsite team is friendly throughout.
You can eat... quite well in the small Camperstüble on the site, but you can also relax under the parasol with a beer.
For cyclists, it is a good starting point for various day trips.
A tip: get a cycling map from the tourist information office. Some of the cycle paths are poorly signposted.

It was another very nice Whitsun at the campsite. The site is beautifully situated and well maintained.
The sanitary facilities are clean and are cleaned regularly.
The owners invest every year and contribute to the well-being of the campers, e.g. with a charging station for e-bikes and much more.
The... Campingstüberl is a great place to eat and end the day.
The owners and the entire team are very friendly and make every effort to ensure campers have a great stay.
We are always happy to come back and can only recommend the site.

We will never visit this place again. We have never experienced such a nasty reception. The same on departure...
The boss is well... all the other employees tried to be friendly. The place is very outdated, the playground leaves a lot to be desired.

excellent place
We (2 adults with 3-year-old daughter) stayed at the Rudelsburg campsite with our caravan from September 8-17, 2023 and felt completely at home. The service, cleanliness, layout/size of the pitches and the facilities are excellent and create a "feel-good atmosphere". The site is very well maintained... and is ideally located for excursions by water (canoe), by bike (via Bad Kösen along the Saale cycle path) or on foot (e.g. to Rudelsburg Castle or Saaleck Castle).
The sanitary building and the facilities in it make a well-kept/new impression and are absolutely clean "24/7".
The staff are hard-working, friendly and helpful.
Despite the nearby rail traffic, which we hardly noticed, the peace and quiet and a very pleasant "crowd" should be mentioned.
Conclusion: One of the best campsites we have visited recently.
We will gladly come back in 2024...

The pitches are spacious and well maintained. The sanitary facilities were always clean. You can enjoy peace and quiet on the pitch. In the Camperstüble your wishes are read from your eyes 😉
We've already been to the site 9 times, we'll be back next year!

Every now and then you can hear a train, but it's not really a problem.
Ideal for cycling and canoeing
We spent a weekend in Bad Kösen on Ascension weekend after many years. We had a lot of space in this very well-kept park. The peace and quiet was only disturbed from time to time by a passing train. But that wasn't a problem for us. We went cycling along the beautiful vineyards, the Saale and the Unstrut.... Many others were out and about in canoes or rubber dinghies, which are also rented out by the site operator. The new operators of the facility are friendly and helpful. Overall, you can't see the age of the resort, much of it has been renovated or renewed.
You should have a bike with you, as it is about 2 km to the town center.

Excellent place
The campsite is beautifully situated directly on the Saale. Bad Kösen is just a few minutes away. The site itself is beautifully laid out, lots of greenery, very idyllic. The sanitary facilities are super clean and tidy, the staff at reception are very friendly. Bread roll service via QR code, otherwise there is an edeka not far away. There is even a mowed walkway around the site for dog owners. All in all, a perfect, exemplary place.

Nice campsite at a fair price with a barrel sauna
Very nice campsite, modern facilities, nothing is missing, we spent 5 nights here. The sanitary facilities are super clean, no matter what time! The highlight was the barrel sauna, well maintained and lovingly equipped. Especially worth mentioning is the gastronomy on the premises, the farmer's breakfast... and the currywurst are a dream! The owners, the Schreiber family, were always friendly and helpful! Price and performance are right here.
The railroad line is an advantage for some and a disadvantage for others.
We enjoyed watching the different trains.
You can hear the train, but it doesn't disturb you.
