You’re greeted warmly at the campground and immediately feel at home. We actually only planned to stay one night, but it turned into four. The bike paths are well-connected, making it easy to get to Heiligenhagen or Oldenburg quickly. The campground is neat and clean.
Negatiivsed
I didn't find anything
Found by chance and liked
It's a lovely spot; even for our dog, it was pure relaxation starting on the second day. We were camped on the east coast in the second row, which was an advantage because we weren't hit by the breeze right away.

Positiivsed
Large pitches, bistro restaurant very good
Negatiivsed
Wi-Fi is (currently) only available directly at reception. We have 4 different mobile phone providers and had considerable problems with all of them on the campsite. Phone calls not possible and no internet surfing either. Roads very narrow and lots of potholes. Some of these were filled in with gravel while we were there. When we were there, it had been raining for almost 2 weeks straight and the back of our pitch was full of water. Everything was mega muddy. There are no awning slabs! The beach is very rocky and it's not easy to get into the water. The dog beach is not worth the name. It's a long scree slope where people and animals have to be careful not to break anything. There are no opportunities to lie down. Getting into the water is even more difficult than on a "normal" beach.
Was quite good but could be improved
It was a nice vacation, but we won't be back.

Unfortunately there were too many minus points on our own scale.

50 cents for 4 minutes in the shower, if the machine doesn't just swallow the money. The machines are in the shower room and not in the shower cubicle. So if you need more time, please get... out again wet and naked, as you can only insert 50 cents at a time.

The cleanliness of the sanitary facilities depended on the time of day and it has to be said that the cleaning staff did a great job, the people on the pitch are more to blame as very few people stick to the rule about shoes.

Positiivsed
Quiet place. Nice staff. Clean sanitary facilities. Crispy potato rolls in the store. A place to relax.
Negatiivsed
A noisy military training area out of season. Very narrow access to some of the pitches.
Again and again Blank-Eck
This year was our 9th time on this site and we still feel very comfortable. The pitches are large enough to accommodate longer caravans and some have drinking water and gray water connections. The sanitary facilities are a bit older, but always well maintained. The site owner and the entire staff are... simply great.
The beach is natural, but still offers good access to the water. There is a small store at the reception for breakfast rolls and other small items and a restaurant with delicious Greek cuisine at the entrance to the campsite.

Very nice campsite, since 2024 there is a new WoMo pitch with electricity connection.
Showers 4min/0,50€.
Even a sauna on the upper floor of the sanitary facilities.
In winter, the pitch on the cliffs is closed due to the weather.
Owners are very friendly.
Price/performance in winter 12,50€ for 2 adults + camper incl. electricity TOP.

Scenic dream location in the middle of Hohwacht Bay, friendly staff, very hard-working cleaning team
Negatiivsed
Lack of peace and quiet at night, both in the permanent camper and guest camper areas there were parties until 3 a.m. almost every day. Maximum use of space leads to very narrow paths where there is no chance to avoid oncoming traffic. Footpaths/driveways in need of renovation. Frequently (especially in the evening) dirty sanitary facilities - despite a very hard-working cleaning team. Hardly any mobile internet, no WLAN available.
Not for friends of a good night's sleep
After an "adventurous" journey over the last 2 km before the campsite, the adventure of getting to the pitch continued. Thanks to the rainy weather in recent weeks, the pitch was quite soggy, which made it difficult to maneuver onto the sufficiently large pitch, especially on the narrow paths with deep,... muddy potholes. The pitch is equipped with electricity, fresh water and gray water drainage.
Unfortunately, many of the campers seem to have grown up in the stables, which is the only explanation for their behavior, especially in the sanitary building. The hard-working cleaning team had no chance of getting to grips with this mess.

Playground with the "most necessary" play equipment, unfortunately a bit old.

Quiet (when the army is not shooting), friendly staff

some paths and junctions too narrow for cars with caravans, massive dead spots for cell phone reception
Light and shadow
We had reserved a pitch months in advance. After a 4-hour drive, we were told on arrival that the pitch would not be available until tomorrow. The staff were friendly and tried to rectify their booking error somehow. We were offered the option of squeezing our caravan and car onto the full tent pitch... or right next to the playground and then moving to the booked pitch the next day. But that wasn't a solution for us. Fortunately, another guest canceled at the same time, so we were able to get his pitch.
The path from reception to our pitch was very narrow in places and we had to maneuver at some of the turns. We know our camper van and its dimensions very well. Sometimes the vehicles of other guests were also blocking the lane. The groundsman should check this regularly.
Our pitch was very large. Caravan, awning/awning and 2 cars easily fitted on it and you would still have some space. There is electricity and water directly on the pitch and satellite reception was also no problem. However, there were problems with mobile phone reception, as the site is probably in a huge dead zone. On the beach you have some reception, on the pitch it's not even good enough for WhatsApp messages, newspapers or Google Maps. This is not the site's fault, but it should be mentioned. There is free WiFi in a small area around the reception.
We didn't notice anything of the military training area next door, it was probably the summer break.
The beach is rocky, you can only lie on the sand in a few places.
The restaurant (Greek) is serviceable, but there are better places outside the village.
The sanitary facilities are modern. Unfortunately, you have to insert the shower coins outside the cubicle. If you have to throw in a towel, you can go to the vending machine.
You can easily reach the surrounding area and Fehmarn from the site.

Excellent campsite
We have just spent 3 weeks on this site, which is in an absolutely quiet location right on the Baltic Sea. Starting at reception, we were given an absolutely friendly welcome and competent instructions. There is a small store in reception, where you can also get bread rolls and a small selection of essential... groceries. Right next to it is a restaurant with Greek dishes and a very good price/performance ratio.
The pitch had a good 100 square meters and was equipped with fresh water/waste water. Electricity connection as usual via CEE socket.
Direct access to the beach via a total of 3 paths, 1 of which also offers the possibility of launching boats.
The beach is a purely natural beach with a mixture of sand and stones/seaweed. There are fresh water showers at 2 entrances to the beach.
There is a large playground for children, a large garbage collection area and 2 sanitary blocks.
From our point of view, the couple who take care of the cleanliness of the sanitary facilities deserve special mention. We have never experienced cleaner sanitary facilities in all the years we have been camping!

It was our first time here and we have booked again for next year.

The quiet location is very good, very clean and modern sanitary facilities, short walk to the water, spacious pitches. Reception and staff very good and helpful. Everything you expect from such a beautiful campsite is just right.
Negatiivsed
The fact that the vacation time was over so quickly would have been nice to stay for a few more weeks.
Super great short vacation, would love to come back for sure
The campsite is simply great. I arrived with the motorhome and had no expectations about the place, just wanted to go on vacation.
Then it came very friendly welcome very modern and clean sanitary facilities pitches pleasantly designed size more than sufficient the pleasant tranquility and the sound... of the sea rounded off the stay. Cycling tours could be well organized. The restaurant on the site with beer garden impressed with its coziness and very good food. The price of the place, utilities and restaurant was very good. Not to forget the fresh bread rolls every morning. We would love to come back.

The cliffs are very beautiful and the seats with a view of the water are highly recommended. You can pre-order bread rolls, which are delicious
Negatiivsed
Unfortunately, I have often experienced unfriendly staff (at the front of the store and at the registration desk). If you have the feeling that you are "disturbing" a guest, something is wrong
Well
In addition to unfriendly staff, you will find a rather stony beach here, which is also right next to the military training area. The second training area is also very close by, which is reflected in the frequent noise. If you are on your way to the cliffs in the dark at night, you can't do it without... a flashlight, as there is hardly any path lighting. Given the poor condition of the paths there, falls can be quite common. The sanitary facilities could be even nicer if they were cleaner. The food in the restaurant is rather average. All in all, the question of why all the stars were awarded is justified.

If you "only" want to relax for a few days on the cliffs and don't value a high level of comfort, it's okay here. For us it was the first and last time

Beautiful well-kept little place
Really a nice place and very easy to reach. Friendly staff and nice permanent campers.
Unfortunately, the beach is not that great. On the dog beach, it's not a question of whether the dog will get hurt, but when.

Not even the site operator can change anything at the Bundeswehr training ground. There can be a lot of noise in the off-season.
Psssst...don't tell anyone! ;-)
For us the best campsite ever. We are always impressed by the super clean sanitary facilities, their equipment and environmental friendliness, the friendliness of the staff and the natural beach!!!

We have been coming here with our dog for years and are delighted,
that he can really let off steam on the beach (to the right of the camp).

The team here is super friendly and always ready to help.

Rest and relaxation
We stayed at the Blank - Eck campsite for 14 days in September 2020 and felt very comfortable and had a great rest. Even the direct neighborhood to the Bundeswehr area we did not find disturbing. We would like to emphasize the cleanliness in general and especially the sanitary facilities. The Greek (really a Greek?) on site was not our thing. But everyone has to know that for themselves. In any case, we will be back.

Most beautiful location
was despite the Corona situation and not so great weather (for comparison summer 2019) again a great vacation. There couldn't be a nicer campsite. The location on the meadow directly on the cliffs overlooking the sea with its great sunsets is simply incomparable. We will be back in 2021 with our friends, who we also met here last year. An old problem. I pay for the dog so that I can take him with me at all. There's a dog beach, great. But you don't let your dog "get loose" there. You have to hope to get off the beach without "incident", or you do what we did and put the dogs in the car and look for a suitable place outside. This solution cost us 120 euros for two dogs on this vacation. Not really funny.
Super price-performance
We would go to this campsite again in a heartbeat. The disadvantages with the dogs can be forgiven. The cleanliness in the sanitary building in high season could also be a bit better. But never mind. We've never met so many friendly people in one place. Even the much-maligned young people leave you speechless with their friendly behavior. Must be the sea air.

A place to fall in love with!
We were there for a weekend in June. It was wonderful to switch off. Everyone is super friendly. The food was great, top sanitary facilities. Large pitches. Simply ideal for us. We will be back. The only thing that wasn't so nice was the beach. A few days of onshore winds and the seaweed was all over the beach.

Sauna is advertised, but is locked. You are supposed to take your shoes off in the sanitary area? (Was possibly also a little misleading)
Almost 5 stars
A very nice place right on the Baltic Sea. The only thing we found a pity was that we had specially chosen a place with a sauna. But we couldn't use it. We were repeatedly told that if more people would sign up (from 4 people it would be economical) we could use the sauna. However, it remains a mystery... as to how we were supposed to find out if there were any more people to join us in the sauna. Or you would have had to walk to reception every 30 minutes and ask. The sauna theme was a bit disorganized, which we found very unfortunate. Otherwise it was very, very nice. The place is located on a pristine natural beach, which can be hiked on the right hand side to Heiligenhafen. There is also a sandy beach for bathers right in front of the campsite. We liked it very much, except for the sauna. The price-performance ratio was right. We would love to come back.

Beautiful, well-kept place
We stayed here over a long weekend! Beautiful, large pitches surrounded by hedges. Well-kept, clean sanitary facilities, only the shower machines are outside the cabin, which is impractical!!! Playground for children varied, with great equipment to let off steam. Beach directly at the campsite, visitor's tax keine☺️.
