A Party Spot for the Dutch
A terrible place
We booked this year's summer vacation there.
Our spot was great—right on the beach, first row.
A dream view.
Buuuut.
Unfortunately, the Dutch act like total jerks there.
They sit in the pool, drink, and smoke right where the kids
are playing. They throw beer bottles everywhere, so the kids have... to watch their step.
Everywhere on the campground, you’re asked to pay for what are supposed to be kids’ attractions.
When I book such an expensive camping vacation, I expect that when I go to the
pool with my kids, I’ll get a lounge chair for free and won’t have to pay 4.50 for it.
It’s just a rip-off.
You can’t get a wink of sleep at night because the Dutch are just partying.
It’s basically a party haven for the Dutch.
We cut our vacation short on the third day because it was just too much for everyone there.
And several families left early and found another campground.
This campground will NEVER see us again. Even the German-speaking receptionist understood why we were cutting our vacation short.

The €100-a-day unshaded campsite next to a narrow road where electric scooters and ATVs zoom by unchecked, kicking up dust all over our tent—we can’t eat or breathe here.
Bijela Uvala Campground
We’re staying at a “luxury” campground that costs 100 euros a day—which, contrary to what the photos show, has no shade—right next to a narrow road where scooters, mopeds, and other vehicles pass by at all hours, kicking up dust on our campsite. At night, before 1 a.m., it’s impossible to sleep because of the noise from these vehicles and the commotion.
I’m also surprised that Italian has all but disappeared—only the older managers speak it.

Deluxe Camping
Hi, we were there for 3 days—Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. We had a reservation for Monday, but we arrived at 1:00 a.m. on Saturday morning. No problem at all. The outdoor parking lot was full, but you can easily park a 40-metric-ton truck in the driveway... plenty of space... check-in starts at 7:00... a.m.... the spot (Premium 3. row from the sea—we were at G 106 with a tree 🌲) was incredible. It’s hard to believe how clean everything was, and the restrooms (I wouldn’t have expected that) were so nice that you could easily spend a great vacation here even just with a tent. For our RV, there was gray water, electricity, satellite TV, and drinking water. The site easily accommodates a 7-meter RV with a jet ski trailer—no problem at all—and thanks to the tree, we didn’t even need the AC since we had shade all day. The power supply allows the AC to run on 230 volts... we paid 131 euros to the friendly, helpful staff :-) We were thrilled...even though we only had 2 days. Next stay: 10 days :-)))))

In the low season many restaurants and stores are closed without notice, no separate cycle paths. Mobile homes can only be reserved online, not on site.
Our first trip to Croatia
We were there for the first time in the off-season and were really surprised. The place is actually huge and yet small. It's hard to explain, you have to experience it for yourself. Croatia won us over and we'll be back.

I have known this place for many years. was also a permanent camper there for a long time. Unfortunately, in my opinion, a lot has changed for the worse. The place is totally overcrowded in the main vacation time, sometimes loud disco music can be heard until late at night. The new sanitary facilities... during my last stay in 2023
partly already in need of repair again. There were also very long waiting times in the restaurants. This was certainly my last camping vacation on this site. Not everything is the fault of the operators. The campers who simply pay too little attention to cleanliness are also very much to blame. Perhaps some people don't know any different from home and simply feel more comfortable in dirty toilets.

The pitches are large enough. Easy to move into with our 8m caravan. The staff were also always on the ball when it came to cleanliness.

In area "D", the cul-de-sacs end as dead ends without turning options. There are no connections/passages to the other paths to make it easier to get to the sanitary buildings.
Relaxed vacation despite peak season
We did not experience the often described "restlessness". In area "D" it was very quiet and relaxing from 11pm. In general, "D" is to be recommended - large pitches under oak trees, so plenty of shade. Nevertheless, short distances to the supply buildings and the beach.

The beach (strip) is sometimes a bit narrow, so it can get a bit crowded and you may not get the spot you want.

In my opinion, the dog beaches are too small.

Beware of dishonesty
A pleasant stay, even if there wasn't much entertainment in the evenings and the poolside seats were not free.
However, be careful if you go with Homair: we went with several families of 4 and 5 people; we, a family of 5 people, paid 400 euros more for 1 extra person, but in fact, in this campsite, all... the mobile homes have the same size and the same number of beds. Worse still, those of us who paid more inherited dilapidated mobile homes, with no dishwasher, TV, toaster, Nespresso machine, sun loungers or bottle of Chardonnay on arrival, unlike the others. We had a smaller fridge/freezer (strange for a larger family), only 1 bathroom or 1 toilet, whereas the others had 2.
And that's not counting damaged equipment, water leaks in the shower or a hornet's nest in the wall...We obviously complained, the campsite referred us to Homair who told us they couldn't do anything for us as the campsite was full in August. We obviously didn't get a refund, even a partial one. So beware of scams: don't tell them you're 5 people, or you'll pay more than a 4-person party for less service in the mobile homes. And avoid dishonest service providers.

Very small pitches, dogs everywhere even on the beach although there is a separate dog beach. There is no supervision by the campsite management.

The campsite itself is great and leaves nothing to be desired. Everything is available on site but extremely expensive.

Unfortunately, the campers show less and less consideration for each other.

Dog owners let their four-legged friends go everywhere. The "big business" is always neatly packed in a... bag, but it is still upsetting if it is on your own pitch or where you want to set up your sunbathing area on the beach.

Camping vacation 2023
After a long break, we went on vacation to Croatia again this year. We used to go there every year. If we stay healthy, we will go back to Bijela Uvala in 2024.

We had a very nice pitch in the second row in area G. Quiet as it was far enough away from the entertainment area. The sanitary building is first class.
We would have gladly extended our stay and changed pitches. Unfortunately, reception was unable to find us a pitch two days before departure. This would only have been possible on the morning of our departure day. We left, there are other beautiful places in Istria.

Beautiful campsite for night owls
We spent the first two weeks of September 2023 here in Zone A and were very surprised by the noise at night. Music blasts from the two stages, which are unfortunately very close to each other, late into the night. You can then hear the music from both stages and can only describe it as noise. And there... is also music coming from the nearby beach bar, often until after midnight....
This may be the right place for party people, but it was too loud for us in the late evening.
The beach was great, there are places for sun worshippers and for people who prefer the shade.
The supermarket was well stocked, but expensive - as is so often the case at campsites.

Today I would like to tell you briefly about our arrival.
I enquired about the campsite in January by email with the following information: 2 adults, 1 child, 1 dog, 1 caravan 7.60 meters long and the question of whether they had pitches with a sea view. We were promised a pitch in Zone Superiore Mare... D.
We arrived yesterday and were allocated pitch D 20. It looked very small on the map and I said so. The receptionist then told us to have a look at the pitch and if it was too small, to look there (zone C next door and pointed to the row). So after a day and a half's drive, we drove there at around 8pm to find that the pitch was unfortunately too small.
We then parked on a pitch C4, as he had said. Then I drove to reception to change the booking.
There the discussion began, which I would like to spare you here. In the end, it was about the fact that a number of seats were firmly reserved, for a fee of probably 120! euros. In our booked zone D superior mare there were still 2 seats available, all far too small.
Of course, many categories had seats, but without a sea view, so completely different from what we had booked. Finally, a member of staff came with me on a motorcycle to have a look on site. He also found that all the pitches were too small.
In the meantime, I was exhausted, disappointed and angry, because this was not how I had imagined our arrival. On arrival at reception, I noticed that a man was also totally unhappy. The second time, there was a woman next to me with similar problems, who then said whether she as a person was worth less than the others who had reserved the space, because we were both told that you could only reserve the zone and not individual spaces.
In the end, two members of staff went back to reception to clarify the matter. They came later, by now it was 21.45, to show us another seat in zone G. Now there are

Guaranteed luxury pitch was not available on arrival
Despite timely booking and confirmation with guarantee for the Luxury pitch, the pitch was not available. At the reception you are treated in an untrustworthy manner and perceived as a nuisance. The main thing is to get the camping guest out of reception and get rid of the problem.
Very loud construction noise everywhere and lots of dust.
The far too loud music is an imposition for almost every camping guest.

But: the place is partly a big construction site, supermarket therefore closed, sanitary buildings reconstruction, many places just finished three days ago - very dusty! TW Not announced reallocation! The criticism is directed exclusively at the management. Nothing was communicated! Seats that were not available despite advance reservation for a fee. No concession at all. Result: either leave and write off the 700€ expensive journey or accept a "leftover" pitch without sun and water in the oak forest... We chose the latter - the pitch was very quiet, right next to the "5-star" sanitary block - but there was no sea view, no private atmosphere and no sunlight for the pitch we had reserved.
Great - but cutbacks June 2023
The square will be an excellent place after completion. Until then, noise and dust restrictions will unfortunately have to be accepted in the front section. Nevertheless, the investments and what has been achieved so far are commendable. The management should have acted more cleverly towards customers... traveling from far away. The annoyance about paid and unoccupied pitches could have been avoided!
The new sanitary facilities are absolute international top class. The cleanliness - cleaning is done several times a day - even the "streets" are cleaned - gardeners are working everywhere - it's all very good! The leisure facilities - especially for children - are absolutely presentable!
Overall: a recommendation on balance.

I wouldn't have wanted to go to the back seats, as it is relatively spacious.
Very good space in the right zones
We were in zone F as a family with a dog. There is a nice, new wash house, bakery and vegetable stand nearby. The beaches are very close. The Superior and Luxury pitches have electricity and water. There are generally lots of shady pitches throughout the site. You should really take the time beforehand... to see which area/category suits you best. I would avoid Zone G in the high season, unless you want to party a little longer with lots of sociable Dutch youngsters after the adjacent beach club closes... I would prefer zones E and F or C and D in the Superior category.
In general, we enjoyed our vacation very much. If you are looking for a very quiet place, you will probably find better ones...
Order and cleanliness good.
I think the rising prices are not a phenomenon of this campsite, but a general problem. If you are self-catering, you can shop at the Lidl in Porec (5 min by car) at normal prices.
Reception was friendly and helpful in our case. We have booked again for next year.

We are at the campsite from mid to late August. It is full of many different nationalities.
The pitches are large and mostly shady. The sanitary facilities are easily accessible and are constantly cleaned (are clean).
The pool and beach (which is extensive) are busy, but you can get a sun lounger by... the pool if you want one.
Overall, it is a very large campsite that is visited by many families and also has many regular guests.

It's often noisy in the evenings, but that doesn't bother us.
Check-in at reception is quick and easy.
We can recommend the campsite.

Loud, restless and only suitable for people who do not value relaxation. Bijela Uvala / Istria is developing into the Ballermann of Croatia and will be avoided by us in the future.
Welcome to Little Amsterdam
Welcome to Little Amsterdam. We were at this campsite in 2016 and wanted to spend another 14 days here. We were able to experience a lot during these days, even though we still have 4 days to go. Car posers who have to start their cars at night and show what the exhaust can do when stationary, bawling... teenagers of all ages, cheeky people running across the pitch, e-scooter races over the dusty paths and even swarming behavior of some groups that remind you strongly of country drivers. Night's rest from 0:00 to 7 a.m., so you shorten the time for troublemakers, there is no security or anything like that. We know Croatia down to Zadar, but Istria is becoming more and more like the Malle of Croatia. Bijela Uvala twice and Istria never again. Ps. When I see from whom the current posts on Google come with 5/5 without comment, it is clear how 4.4* come together.before our arrival there were 3.8* ratings. We can only advise "not this place and not Istria.
The pitches are not suitable for motorhomes as they are very uneven.
The cleaning staff can't keep up because the showers, washing-up areas and toilets are completely filthy after a short time. There are food leftovers in the sinks.

After 2017 and 2018, our route took us back to the campsite. If you arrive without a reservation, you first have to walk around the site to find free pitches. Unfortunately, it can happen that these are already occupied and you have to start walking again. This can be a real ordeal at 30°C. Fortunately,... we had a nice young lady at reception the second time who was suddenly able to tell us where there were free pitches. And because of this luck, we got a place with a direct sea view. Waking up every morning with a view of the sea was a dream. The sea was a pleasant 23°C for swimming. The sanitary facilities in area F are completely new and look very nice. All other sanitary facilities are still old, but were always clean. The whole area also looks very well maintained and clean, despite many dogs there were no piles to be seen.
You can walk directly into Funtana by the sea. There are many restaurants there,
There are also great opportunities to cycle to Porec or Vrsar.

Mud, noise, the plot we got was not suitable for camping, the road goes downhill and there were potholes all around. We could hardly set up the tent.

I am here now and I am absolutely disappointed. Dirt in the toilets and showers (P2), we even complained, after complaining for a couple of days was better, but alas again dirt. Loud noise after 24 hours, security does not follow the order. Just yesterday a crowd of heel teenagers just yelled at the... top of their lungs and no one from the administration did not react. Beach: a lot of large, sharp stones in the water. Stones above the knee, if windy and waves are big, you can easily skin your knees, which happened. Prices are unreasonably high and do not correspond to the quality. WiFi is there, but the speed is turtle and often just does not "catch the network". The plot, which we got: it seems that they squeeze money out of nothing. When we booked and looked at the map, we did not realize that you can be so "in trouble". As it turned out, you can get a plot overlooking the dump and absolutely not suitable for camping. The site is not level and all in the pits. It's disgusting. Never again. Never again.
