Camp Lawrence is Camping Exclusively for adults in Charente, South West France. This adult only campsite is bordered by the river Charente and nestled in 8 acres of beautiful Charente countryside, just on the outskirts of the town of St-Laurent-de-Ceris. …As the Charente is the second 'sunniest' region in France, we are Perfectly situated to soak up the glorious sunshine. Camp Lawrence is a small and peaceful 'CL' style caravan, motorhome and camping adult only site, with only 10 pitches and Many acres to enjoy Camp Lawrence is perfect for our guests to soak up the ambience of this lovely hand of France while enjoying peace and tranquility at our site. Also Dordogne, Limousin and Charente Maritime are only an hours drive from us, so plenty of opportunity to explore the Neighbouring regions of Poitou-Charente. The campsite borders the River Charente with great views over the valley, open fields and oak woodland. A gentle stroll down a winding path will lead you to the river, at the bottom of a lovely wooded bank. Here you can sit and fish or for the more energetic of you maybe a trip down the river in our canoe or rowing boat, or simply sit with a glass of wine and watch the beautiful wild butterflies that visit us each year. For nature lovers you can observe the abundance of wildlife that love to visit our "Fontaine de la Lapin" (rabbit fountain) Where a natural water source flows out of the rocky bank into our newly established lagoon. Or admire the Many wild birds, including the beautiful kingfisher and the soaring birds of prey riding the thermals above- the natural valley. Camp Laurent with it's panoramic views and natural setting allows you to take full advantage of our long sunny days and beautiful clear starry night skies.
