Beautiful place
Pitch not far from the Chiemsee, which we approached by chance and where we managed to get a pitch. The pitches are very nicely laid out. The first two rows of pitches are separated by a strip of grass, which invites you to linger. Everything you need as a camper is more or less available. Bread rolls... can be ordered during the day and collected from a hut the next morning. There is also a small selection of pets to watch, which is interesting for kids. And there is also a playground on site for them. During our visit, we paid the prices quoted for a motorhome including 2 people per night. And remember, motorhome drivers greet each other.

Overnight stay
We spent the night here on the way back from Croatia. You should know that this is not a conventional campsite but a motorhome site, which is also suitable for caravans. I therefore rate the facilities at a motorhome site. The owners are very friendly and open-minded, and it was possible and necessary... to book in advance. You have a wonderful view of the Alps. There is a bread roll service, drinks from the vending machine, electricity at the vending machine against prepayment, 3 showers but only 1 toilet each for men and women. However, as there are no such facilities on other pitches, I wouldn't consider this a drawback, you should just be aware of it in case you don't have the opportunity or desire to use your own toilet. It is also interesting to get to know the animals on the farm. The pitches are also very spacious. We can only recommend the campsite and would visit it again on our next tour.

Perfect for an overnight stay!
We used this site as an overnight stopover for our summer vacation to Italy and back. The site is very close to the highway and easy to reach. The operators were very friendly and helpful.
We arrived around midday and were able to take a nice walk along Lake Chiemsee, which was very nice and relaxing... after the first stage of our trip. There was even a meal in the evening, which you could book for.
The big advantage is that you can leave the caravan coupled up and there is no barrier or opening time. So we were able to set off early at 4.30 a.m. on our onward journey towards Italy and pass through the Tauern Tunnel before the rush hour.
There were animals for our little daughter to marvel at and everything was very well maintained. The site also has a drinks machine, clean showers and toilets. Electricity at the pitch via cash slot worked perfectly.
We have already booked our overnight stay again this year for the outward and return journey and are looking forward to this stay.

We were there in July when we were passing through and spent one night there. Everything was very clean and the pitches are gravelled and level. Very friendly and uncomplicated operators. We will definitely be back!

Used for the overnight stay...
...and found it to be good. It's important to remember that the site is not a classic campsite. Absolutely fine for one to a few days. Sanitary facilities standard and clean, bread roll service and cold drinks. The friendliness of the operators is excellent.

Great pitch, also suitable for caravans
We stayed here for one night in July on our way south and would love to come back. Great location with a view of the mountains and super well-kept pitches. + Large pitches also for caravans + Electricity via coin-operated column + Toilets and showers (very clean!) + Drinks vending machines (beer and... soft drinks) + Bread roll service at 7:15 in the morning + Small children's playground + Farm animals + Petrol station, supermarket and town nearby We also stopped again on the way back because we really liked it and Fanilie Steiner was also very friendly! We are planning to stay for a few days next year ;-)

Simple parking space, perfect for passing through
Pitches are right next to the farm. The pitches are quite narrow, so it's more like a parking lot. There is also a road right past the farm, which you can of course hear. But it's perfectly okay for passing through. Great bread roll service! Also honey, jam, eggs etc. from our own production. Well attended, reservation on weekends and during school vacations is certainly an advantage. Sanitary facilities are clean. Nice operators.

Beautiful location with a view of the Lilienstein, directly on the Elbe cycle path.

Very busy railroad line in the immediate vicinity. It was a great experience for the children.
Nice location, sanitary area underground!
I have no words for the sanitary facilities. Filthy, uninspiring, dangerous! (Light switch hanging from the ceiling by a cable, hidden behind a panel). Access via a pasture, when opening the gate contact with loaded pasture fence! I have never experienced anything so scary. The site itself is beautifully situated and clean.

Great for an overnight stay
The Steiner farm is simple, but really good for an overnight stay. Great views, nice owners and somehow totally idyllic. We've been here several times and can't find a real alternative. It's just a shame that you can't eat nearby.

Great for a stopover
We always use the site as a place to stay overnight when traveling to Italy. It's uncomplicated there, fair price, close to the highway, but still far enough away not to be disturbed. Last time we were there when it was very full! You have to wait for three showers. But very clean!

I don't think of it as camping
Calling it camping is a big word
I would not call it a campground rather a poorly organized rest area. There are only about ten pitches where RVs or caravans can park well. The remaining space is in a dirt enclosure and sensa convenient eletrric connections (you need about 50 /80 meters of cable to alliarsi the power) the parking is... quite messy. There is only 1 men's and 1 women's toilet, 2 sinks, and showers are paid for. When the place is full there will fit about 100 campers. They don't speak Italian or even English The only positovo side is that we only paid for the night we stayed overnight even though we left the next day in the afternoon. If I were to return to this area I might look for some other solution.

Great location
We were passing through for one night. Arrived at 21:30, but that was no problem. After a long car ride, the kids had to move around a bit and were a bit louder as a result, but even that was colorized with a smile. I can only say, friendly and clean. Farm atmosphere.

ummmmmmmm let me think ....... Wait please *ponder* ...... I got it ..... N O T E
Perfect parking space for caravans and motorhomes passing through on their way south.
On the recommendation of our neighbor, we stopped for a rest with the Steiner family. In addition to a warm welcome, we were greeted by a beautiful pitch with a view of the Alpine foothills. Due to its location away from the highway (you can't hear it!) but not too far away, the site is ideal for a rest... stop on the way south. The costs were so manageable with bread rolls and electricity that we generously rounded up due to the friendliness AND also stopped off again on the return journey. (Oh yes, there is also a McDonald's on the way between the highway and the parking lot)

This is a pitch where motorhomes are just as welcome as caravans. I am not rating a campsite here. This one is an insider tip. 2 km from the highway exit Grabenstätt on the A8. Easy to access with caravans or larger motorhomes. Absolutely top clean and new sanitary facilities. Some campsites can take... a leaf out of their book. Very nice operator couple. They took our empty gas bottle to the next town and exchanged it. We booked for 5 days and got a pitch right in the 1st row with a view of green meadows and the Alps. No water connection at the pitches but electricity. Water can be fetched in the watering can and waste disposal is also available at the pitch. And then the price. Per person €5, child €1, electricity €0.50 KW and showers €0.50. For us that meant €65 for 5 days. Well, if that's not very good value for money. The pitch is in a great location for excursions. Lake Chiemsee is right on the doorstep and Tyrol in the other direction. We went to the Oktoberfest (Munich 100 km), hiking in Kössen and at Walchsee (20 km), Marquartstein Fairytale Park (5 km), Prienavera (18 km), Salzburg (40 km)... So to summarize: a great and super reasonably priced pitch if you want to explore the area or take a night's break while passing through. And for dinner: Hinterwirt in Übersee.
